Sai pallavi's accent was purposefully made to sound like that cause in the film she is a Malayali who came to Chennai for college so it made sense that her Tamil was broken you can watch interviews of the real Indu mams and see her Tamil is broken so Sai pallavi delivered what was given to her cause she definitely can speak good tamil but she didn't in this one cause it was purposeful and true to the nature of the real person she is acting about. So people who are complaining about that are probably trying to nitpick things to say negative about otherwise none of the people I knew who watched the film had any problem with her accent.

The emotions of Arul (arvind swamy) are so relatable.. when you are meeting smone so distant know you so well that you yourself are Unaware of, is Tear-cracking feeling touched upon by this Movie! Also the scene where the elephant passes behind Arul, that he was introduced to before leaving his place, I felt it so silent yet impactful. I've watched Meiyazhagan and Amaran, Both on the big screen, I have just know these movies will be good, I have not watched a trailer before for both movies.
Meiyazhagan, I've watched it twice, one on the big screen and in Netflix. I've watched the uncut version in the theater but i was not able to follow what he has saying (Note: I work night shift, and this was an afternoon show i have not slept all day), So specifically that part i dosed off, even though i saw bits and pieces, i regarded and when watching on Netflix that part was gone. I watched it again mainly to catchup on the part that i missed. so sad. But love the movie. that marriage food serving Scene was all, how a very normal wedding would look like. Of course i cried so much when Aravind Swamy was leaving.
Amaran, I'm so proud of Siva Karthikeyan, I used to watch Vijay TV shows only if it was hosted by him and I loved when he started his career and I'm glad that this is where it's taking him now. My dad is a Army officer (who's no longer here, due to health issue). But watching it with my Mom was very emotional. I was thinking all through the movie how she's feeling. Of course the movie is a Master piece and a Must Must Watch.

And most importantly who the fucks invests heavily on emotional human tales , even the movie satyam sundaram you are raving about collected just about 40 crs despite it being an excellent film . You have to understand the commercial. You can't fucking make a heartfelt human tales in the likes of maidaan on a budget of 200cr with zero marketing and then blame the audience. That is the harsh reality. Even stars like aamir wanted to make laal singh chadda on a budget of 300cr even though the movie had been good I don't think the budget is justified for genre. So yeah

Sai Pallavi was fantastic in the movie with her dialogue delivery, her priceless expressions and her entire performance as an actor... Actually i must say that she did not act but appeared so real on screen... Sai Pallavi actually carries such good brilliance that she has acted in the malayalam film Premam(her debut film) as a college professor who is a tamilian and yet mesmerised the kerala audiences with her work...Fida, Kali, Sham Singha Roy and many more in all the south languages ...An actor with zero makeup but still manages to make us believe that she is an entirely different person in every character that she portrays... I am a malayalee born and brought up in Mumbai...a fan of beautiful cinema...used to enjoy Bollywood movies too... Sadly a masterpiece is a now a rare thing there...Sai Pallavi has a Hindi film releasing soon.. Ramayan... Fingers crossed and curious to see if that goes well or not... Meiazhalagan is another masterpiece that South India will be proud of... am glad the world is now acknowledging south indian film industries and realising that south indian cinema is not just about the few boring dubbed malayalam, tamil, telugu or kannada movies repeatedly aired on Set Max or Star Gold or similar such channels...

Both complemented each other so beautifully & elevated C. Premkumar's writings.

But the fact is, Major Mukund himself maintained a beard during those times so as to mingle with the local people with ease and get to know the terrorist activities and movements. The director had done some serious research on him and had got the approval of army top brass before releasing the final cut. lucky bhaskar: again being this telugu speaking guy this is one of the big releases here for the festival ofc the first film i was going to watch in the theaters before any film, one of the main reasons for this is the promotions they did for this film, the producer naga vamsi went all out on this film like every other film of his, and all i was expecting was a good engaging film which shoudnt let me be bored and just keep the film flowing and it delivers exactly that, being the fan of the show scam 1992 the references of harshad mehta as harsha mehra was a good desisions indeed. I think what this film does good is to give what i asked for, reaching my expectations
i also watched another telugu film called ka its a fantastic watch too.

I absolutely loved AMARAN. Despite some familiar tropes in the action sequences that one has seen in films such as URI and SHERSHAAH, what really worked for me in AMARAN is the heart-felt relationship depicted between Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. Both actors are in such fine form that you start rooting for them and Sai Pallavi totally knocks it outta the park in the final moments of the film. And to answer your question, I had absolutely no problem with her dialogue delivery and in fact loved that director Rajkumar Periasamy has kept it authentic making her character speak in Malayalam since she is from Kerala in the film and making SK speak in Tamil since he hails from Chennai in the film.

malayali who's fluent in both malayalam and tamil here 🙋🏽‍♀️
sai pallavi undeniably did a phenomenal job as indu and whoever saying she's a micast cannot be serious lol. with that being said, her Malayalam dialogue delivery wasn't perfect because its nearly impossible for a non-native speaker to fluently speak malayalam and sound like a native speaker. but it wasn't unbearable like some people make it out to be. she was okay and didn't butcher the language at all. and personally i felt like it was not that of a big deal and its forgettable considering how good the movie as a whole was! and i think everyone should forgive saipallavi’s non-fluent malayalam because my girl carried that movie on her back for real😭

Highlight for me is the interaction between Karthi and Aravind Saami its sooooo relatable and subtle. Dialogues are well written and delivered by the cast. This is how we interact, this is how visiting our hometown for a family function felt like, this is how we feel interacting with relatives. It's a pure nostalgia evoking art.

Bollywood can never make a simple, sweet and beautiful films like Meiyazhagan. Such sweet characters and beautiful moments which directly touches your heart and soul. They are busy showing people in villages as monsters. The writers here are living in their own world and have lost touch to the core ground level. Reason why TVF is booming with their shows and writing.

Loved Meiyazhagan and ur review of it was spot on. Yes, the little details were so beautiful - like that brush on the shoulder - and all the interactions were so natural. My only little personal complaint was that I wanted to see them both actually share a real warm hug instead of it abruptly ending before that. We saw it in the theatre and saw it again on Netflix.
