Thank you, Robert, for doing this for Aaron. He was hoping you would. He'll be so happy about it. Meanwhile, you sound like you have recovered and is feeling better...wonderful. Take care and soon, we all will be seeing Aaron back home.
It is so nice that they designed the tractor to be easily worked on. so often things are buried so that you really have a heck of a time to get at the items that are regularly replaced. you might put a vacuum on the fill port for the hydraulic fluid to minimize the loss. great video always nice to see hoe it is done.
great video Robert thanks very busy day on Saturday my sister and brother-in-law are coming to see me from Melbourne Australia they are up for my mother and father's celebration of life
I am sure your videos on automotive maintenance are the only ones I enjoy. Very informative and easafely understood. You ever teach any auto maintenance. at like vo tec
Just did mine and ran across this…mostly the same with the MX series, but mine is gear drive so one less hydro filter. I got mine used with 90 hours and now have 180…wasn’t confident. The original owner changed hydro filters so I swapped it along with fuel, oil and air filters. Would be nice if they had a shutoff at the hydro filter housing…..that’s a puckering thing to deal with. I too had to readjust to keep from cross threading while spindletop kept flowin.
Yeah, I dunno why they didn’t put some kind of shutoff in with that filter - such a pain. I’m getting ready to do this again on my own tractor. This was a buddy of mines but since then I bought a L2501 new.
I was told if you put a vacuum on the end of the hydraulic fill opening when you replace your filter it creates vacuum so you don't lose so much fluid.
So the 50 hour service doesn't include changing the fuel filter? Interesting. It's always best for the engine to be warmed up when you change the oil. I hope you did that.🙂 That's great you did that for Aaron. Oh, and I've been curious what model that Kubota is, and now I know. Thanks.
Not criticizing, you need to go back and check the oil again. That's a pretty large oil filter looks about a 1/4 to 1/2 a qrt it holds. Just as a precaution.
First thing you need to do is not stand underneath a raised loader and bucket ... regardless if it has loader lockout or not , its just stupid. takes literally three minutes to take the loader off and even less time to get it back on .

Thank you
You look like you feel better. 👏👏👏
Yup yup

great video Robert thanks very busy day on Saturday my sister and brother-in-law are coming to see me from Melbourne Australia they are up for my mother and father's celebration of life
Enjoy the visit!!
Excellent replacement and instructions and good timing!
On the filters you might wish to write the dates that you installed them on the filters.
Great video Robert 👍. It was nice of you to do this for Aaron.

Thanks. Never taught anything like that.
Thanks for posting...big help
Good stuff! YES! Those hydraulic filters are messy!
Sure enough! I was surprised about the shavings in there but read that’s very, very normal.
Service my kabota regularly and still gives good service. Oh yeah it's a 1973 model.
Sweet
Kubota Should Sponsor this channel :)

She needs a bath, you take care of that girl. LOL
I was told if you put a vacuum on the end of the hydraulic fill opening when you replace your filter it creates vacuum so you don't lose so much fluid.
Please tell me how to do that ?
Great video ! Appreciate how you are keeping it simple and easy to follow. 5 stars
Thank you!
Robert, you need to check for any grease zirks, esp on PTO, wheels 'n steering, and bearings.
Already done.
Shell Is Good oil i Put It In My Truck's And Tractor's 80's 90' 2010. Now I Work On The Day's I Want To LOL.
did you make sure the old oil filter gasket didnt stick to engine ? and after you crank it you will have to add more oil
Of course.
Shame on you .. kept us waiting all this time .. lol. Great job .. Aaron will be very happy & pleased. B safe
Leave the bill in Aaron’s mailbox, something nice to come home to 😲🍻
lol definitely no bill
Above my pay grade but enjoyable to watch just the same.
You did a good thing. I've watched a few oil change videos where the mechanics show a tar-like substance dripping (sort of) out of the engine. Ugh.
Yeah that’s not a good thing
So the 50 hour service doesn't include changing the fuel filter? Interesting.
It's always best for the engine to be warmed up when you change the oil. I hope you did that.🙂 That's great you did that for Aaron. Oh, and I've been curious what model that Kubota is, and now I know. Thanks.
👍
did you have a air hose to blow out the fins on the oil cooler and radiator? our JD compact tractor gets a lot of grass buildup
wait so you dont need to fill the oil filter with some new oil before putting on the new filter?
Not criticizing, you need to go back and check the oil again. That's a pretty large oil filter looks about a 1/4 to 1/2 a qrt it holds. Just as a precaution.
Stay hydrated
Definitely
Was it my imagination...the guineas and turkey were louder than usual? Was something in the yard bothering them?
Closer than usual. I was in “their” field
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG Ah...I was thinking 'predator'! (Not the 2-legged variety!)

You didn’t say the type of hydraulic oil you used

Fuel filter is wayyy past needs changed
Just acquired my L 2501. 144 hrs.
