Yup you guys get a lot of rain 🌹 Colorado gets a lot of Rain, Sleet, Hail and Snow year round. In New Mexico, we get that too 💕 we're expecting rain today 🌹
As the lone owner of an acreage like you have, it's a constant battle keeping up with all that goes into maintaining it. Everything that you do sure adds to the curb appeal. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff too, and have always enjoyed being able to work outdoors. As well, you are very fortunate to have Aaron to help out along the way. Thanks man for bringing us along as you work hard to bring order back to the Old Byrd Farm. Nice job! Cheers.
Good morning Jerry!! Guess I've been watching too much Side Step Adventures. I thought the concrete block was a tombstone!! I figured you'd get the chickens' attention when you started spreading the grass seed - and sure enough!! Lights on the tractor are on - time to quit!!
Hey robert hope you continue to feel better. Just wondering where Cody is now that school is out. Miss seeing him helping on the old Byrd farm. You take care of yourself. Enjoy your videos
I hope you are feeling much better! Wow, no easy task digging those up and moving them. It certainly is green, never-ending to be sure, but a beautiful place. So peaceful looking at night too. When you work on a farm and try and maintain it, or acreage, it really gives you admiration and appreciation to those that did it all by hand, or mule, horse, etc. 👍👍
Hello Robert I have always loved your videos started watching you on sidestep adventures I love history and all the interesting things that you find around your farm it's nice to see all the animals also I'm from upstate New York
Maintaining open ground is a never ending chore. A farmers work has always been blood, sweat and tears. Prayers that your health continues to improve. We are still packing, storing and getting ready for closing on our newest house, downsizing takes awhile when you've been in one place 16 years. But we are hacking away at it,like you are hacking away at weeds, and vines. The OBF had a bunch of leftover years of accumulation no one cleaned up. Hey it happens. You still got a nice place to make dreams come true. Lots of love from KY!💞💞🐦🌻
Dang Robbie .. truly sorry ur feeling so bad. Hopefully you'll figure it out & get on the road to recovery. Great clean up .. looked like hard work to me. Sure looks better. Take good care of urself & stay hydrated!! B safe❣️🙋🏼♀️🙏🏼☮️
Wow Robert u did a great job bush hoging , the Old Byrd Farm . It looks fantastic all groomed again .I can't believe how fast it grows back but I guess with u being sick it hasn't been done for awhile . Take care and rest when u can ❤️🌻
It is depressing when you are not on top order and things you cleared a few weeks ago are now overgrown once more. Not only that, things like the concrete stand are in the way of regular mowing, you just have to take time to do what you can and bat slowly knocking down problems as you can. I trust the grass seed will grow well and turn the patch back to an area that can be kept tidy with the mower.
Funny how I never noticed the blocking before, and with all the hot weather and rain there that wisteria grows fast! once you are fully healed, you can tackle all that new growth a bit more, but right now don't push yourself while your body is still healing. Always love seeing the lawn, and grounds mowed, looks so pretty. I have to actually get out of the AC and do our this afternoon as well, sigh. Look forward to your videos. Have to say, I understand why Aaron is doing what he is currently, but boy do I miss him..At least I will enjoy mowing outside seeing my giant Hostas that are now blooming, and my late mom's lilies that we took and replanted from her former home to here are almost blooming as well, so will add that color to our front and back gardens as well. Stay blessed.
I can't get over how much the grass and weeds have grown😱 I do hope that you are feeling better soon. I'm going through the worst cough, no energy. It's been 2 weeks now, just starting to feel human again 🤧🥵🤒
The more you do the more that needs to be done! Know that feeling well. Have a farm house built in 1910. Just landscaping a city lot while remodeling is exhausting! Bless you keep up the good work. Slowly but surely it will get done!
Hey Robert, great journey of discovery your on. Cant help feeling the Old Byrd would benefit from a clear up around the grass areas, just make life easier for you. Hope your flu like symptoms clear up soon.
Stay hydrated!!! This time of year is hard on a body. I dehydrated so bad one time it caused a temporary heart problem because of electrolyte imbalance.
What a difference it makes bush hogging all that down. It looks so much nicer. Hope each day you get to feeling better n more energy. With summer here n that humidity it’s hard to get motivated to do anything. Take care Robert n do take it easy. ♥️😊👍👍
I enjoy your videos but you can do some very crazy things. Planting grass seed where you need to really clean up the yard much better. If you and your friend would clean up as you go things would be better. You have done great work but when you guys stop and fix things or change the oil and do maintenance on vehicles you just leave the stuff/trash lying around. Sometimes it exhausting watching you clean up over and over what you have already done. I pray that you get to feeling better.
It be great if you had an old dump truck and as you dig up something you could fill the truck and remove from the property for good..never have to deal with it again
Hope your feeling better soon. Robert I'm not sure but looks like you are just moving the rubbish around. Maybe getting it in a dumpster and gone from the property completely will be more helpful snd a better use if your time. x

If Cody wouldn't mind, I'd love an update on what he's up to!
Mowing at dusk with the tractor lights on! Nostalgic Wisconsin farm youth memories! Thank you the memory!😄

Your yard work is a lot like my housework-just moving stuff from spot to spot. 😂😂😂
Good morning Jerry!! Guess I've been watching too much Side Step Adventures. I thought the concrete block was a tombstone!! I figured you'd get the chickens' attention when you started spreading the grass seed - and sure enough!! Lights on the tractor are on - time to quit!!
Looking better. Prayers for continued improvement in your illness
My goodness, Sorry to hear you have been so sick. Sure hope you are on the road to recovery.
Don’t push yourself to the point of exhaustion
I use pellington grass seed products in my yard. Have great success with that brand!
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless you

Get well soon Robert. 😊 🏴
You did a large amount of yard work , for someone thats not 100 %. The old Bryd farm is looking so good ! Take care of yourself !
What a difference! Just go at it easy for awhile.
Glad your feeling better. Yard looking better. Where is Cory? Miss seeing him
hi Robert, stay healthy, get enough rest and good nutrition. GBU
So satisfying to watch you mow, bush hog and power wash. Great job
I love how you and Aaron do nice things for each other, such great friends. It all looks really good

Your work ethic and perseverance are inspirational.
Glad you are feeling better ❣️
Get well soon, Robert! Summer illnesses are just the pits when comes to getting hard work done on the farm.
I am glad you're feeling better and are not pushing too hard. Hurrah those concrete blocks are gone! The yard looks really good.
Looking great Robert and be careful out there in the heat after being so sick you could get pneumonia and be even sicker
Wow. Really made a big improvement on the yard. Looking so good.
Looking great as more grass is growing in the yard. Pace yourself and don't overdo it.
Nice multitasking there Robert , planting grass and feeding the chickens in one move 👍🍻

You have come so far and your actually able to just mow things like a normal homeowner
When you started spreading the grass seeds, the hens thought 'this is the best ever!'
Right
@@THEOLDBYRDFARMVLOG Ha! Ha! Ha!
You made a lot of progress and probably more than you should have as hot as it is.

That one piece of concrete looked like the shape of a headstone on a foundation but tipped over!
I'm glad you're feeling better. You were a sick fellow. The garden is amazing. Watch out for shoulderless squirmers looking for a snack.
Please take care of yourself and drink plenty of water. The farm is looking so much better 😍 Great job !
Happy too see you are feeling better. Kind of expensive, but I would be spraying all that woody invasive stuff ( wisteria included) with Garlon IV.
he has animals that roam free, needs safer option than weed killer, bush hog is the answer
@@ppurgett Put them in the coop for a while.
Hey Robert, great journey of discovery your on.
Cant help feeling the Old Byrd would benefit from a clear up around the grass areas, just make life easier for you. Hope your flu like symptoms clear up soon.
Hope you feel well enough to have a Happy Father's Day! You are awesome!!
Love cleaning up videos.👏👏👍
That tractor made short work of those blocks. Wow you've been getting it done Robert
Stay hydrated!!! This time of year is hard on a body. I dehydrated so bad one time it caused a temporary heart problem because of electrolyte imbalance.

Sorry you weren't feeling well and glad you are better.
Summer colds sicknesses are the worse. Get well
Robert I'm glad u feel better
um concrete and blocks, crushed up makes nice road base... ;-)
Really like watching you ,🙂
Question: That last piece looks like a grave marker. Could that foundation have been a pet cemetery??
Looking good! Had to laugh...your light work is heavy work for some. 😉 Take care. Drink lotsa water, and take frequent breaks. Blue would agree.
So happy you are back. Take care
Good morning Jerry, gobble, gobble👍
Dawns here ☀️
Looks great!
Looking real good
I hope you feel better soon had some sort of viral infection in January it lasted about 4 weeks, and still have that come and go annoying cough now.

You need a root rake and rake the crap out of that land and pull that wisteria up by the roots.
That made a big difference take care of your self and get some vitamins.and don't push your self so much. Get well
It be great if you had an old dump truck and as you dig up something you could fill the truck and remove from the property for good..never have to deal with it again

It doesn't take long for the jungle to return does it? I guess it's a never ending job in the summer. Take care Robert and hi from Australia.
At least 2 dump trucks of trash and more trash stll emerging .Maybe start a guessing pool on how many there will be totally. I am going for 6
Crazy isn't it! Get sick for five minutes and you're suddenly five weeks behind.
U should wear a mask while doing gardening 😜
The last concrete block LOOKED like it could have been a tomb stone.
6:18 Looks like a tombstone.
It Will Get Away From You Fast. And With All The Water We Ben Geting It Like Haveing 2 Job's LOL.
Robert, do you know if the property was used as a dump at anytime in the 50 years?
New name how about some t shirts with , Wisteria Warriors , just a thought
good to see the clean up why was there so much trash in the yard?
I have a feeling that the chickens will eat the grass seed
Hope you feel better soon. I wonder why the concrete blocks. Also, I wonder if they had anyone buried on that farm.
👍👍👍👍👍
need a small lawn tractor for the yard.
Robert take care of yourself. You still don’t sound 100% ok
Bring a weed hacker it will faster and easier to do the finishing touches
XOXO
I feel like I found a hidden Video… RUclips is funny sometimes
I have one thing to say.....I'm not a fan of Wisteria.
I hope you didn't get covid again lot of people's getting it two or three times
