Okay so are you ready, finally I’m able to show you the first room in our renovated London pad, our new swanky bathroom! I think you’re gonna love this one, it’s so unusual and like exactly my style, you know like, 60s modernist dream. So, simple and elegant, but totally quirky too. And I thought, why not do a before and after video, to show you the whole process and the difficulties with this room. Kind of like a mini Grand Designs episode - like, bathroom edition.

Your new bathroom just takes my breath away! I cannot believe how much room removing the tub created. I live in Florida, and the old Miami homes all had terrazzo floors, they would pour them in exactly like cement and throw on top the colored glass, so no grout. This porcelain version is dynamite, and your fixtures are incredible! I love the chrome fixtures, really everything is placed perfectly and it's a soothing room. Really love your style, can't wait to see the kitchen!

Its beautiful. The sink is very futuristic to me, but it all works in an organic minimalistic way.

Your bathroom is definitely futuristic looking and I have never seen anything like it. I do like how the floors seem to make it like one of those Japanese bathrooms where you can clean yourself anywhere in a way. I do think this reflects your style and that is a good thing. I like the tiling.

Those fixtures are so cool !! Very unique and quirky but also classic. You won’t grow weary of the quirky elements in their design. The tile is going to be wonderful for a bathroom as well. It won’t show every bit of the things you don’t want to be showing in a bathroom. How cool to be able to see the room in three dimensions via VR before locking in design decisions.
Those tiles are gorgeous! I love them so much. Can't wait to see the kitchen! I think a plant or two gives the bathroom a spa feel.

I like everything about the bathroom (I laid marble terrazzo on my bathroom floor a year ago and have been very pleased with it); the best thing however is the location of the shower to the window end. This is brilliant for ventilation and keeps the moisture away from the storage cabinet too. I don’t think I would have too many plants.
Toilet and the shower, i so agree! It also so nice to be able to shower beside the window, it’s so moody. I once lived in a place with shower by the window and i loved how the light shines through it differently at different times or hearing the noises outside when you make a little opening, made the process very peaceful. And those summery middle of the night bathroom breaks with birds chirping 😭

I love this for you and so many elements you've implemented. As you said, it's so "you" and that is BEAUTIFUL! You've definitely inspired me for the future when I'm hopefully able to design my own future bathroom haha. As for plants, I honestly think some greenery would be a beautiful touch. It could be the lighting in the camera, but the bathroom does like quite cool, so more plants -- even one or two, could be some nice "nature" implements to help warm the place up more?
Or just keep doing whichever gives you the most joy!

That's soooo different from what we usually see in North America, it's super interesting, but i love the design, fresh and minimal, but also round and fun👌🏼👌🏼
The terrazo and mirror look great, i'd have personally gone for something chunkier and more geometric for the sink and toilet units but it still looks good overall - well done!

Hi. I have been a kitchen and bathroom designer in New York for 45 years. You did a great job on your small bathroom. Charming and functional. I would have tried to protect the window from damage due to water in the shower. that could lead to long term issues. I look forward to your kitchen. Great job.

Congrats on the new bathroom!! You were so right to move the toilet!! It makes me so icky when I see those toilet rooms without a faucet, we had one in my first childhood home 🤢🥴 so disgusting and unsanitary! They seem to be a thing in some European countries, especially apartments that were updated around 2000s..
I also love love love those vitra shapes! Vitra is a great brand, I like a lot of their products too since they’re simple yet fun. You totally did great with the choice of items, I like the shower near the window as well.. warm autumn showers beside the window in the evening are so cozy.
The only thing I’d personally do is instead of terrazzo use colored ceramic tiles! They’d look so fun and even more 60’ modern with all those rounded shapes! terrazzo tile is one of very few things in interior design I don’t understand the hype of, I hate how it looks 😄 but many like it and there’s probably a reason to it, it’s your space and as long as it makes YOU guys happy! You did a great job with it!! Exited to hopefully see the rest ❤
