😂 Lol omg, That's funny as hell,😁 lol
I'm sorry man, who knew? 😕😂 It wasn't my intention, but it's pretty darn Funny,😂
      Sorry for the inconvenience Brother,😕👍
At least now, if you ever wanted to build a working scale replica of your "actual" Bronco, You will be a step ahead when it comes time to installing the Winch,
😁🤜🤛 Side note; This little Winch, actually has some insane power for it's size,😕 believe it or not, it's rated for 50 lbs dead weight, and 70 lbs rolling weight,😧🤯
obviously nothing like a "Real" Full size, Warn 8274 winch,🙄 😁 but for something that is as small, as this one is,😕 it's got some serious clock weights hanging below,🤔😁👍👍
My apologies once again for the misunderstanding, Many Thanks to you for your Great Sense of Humor,😁🤜🤛💯 and Many more thanks, for checking out the video my friend. 😊😎👉🏆

If and when you install the long arm kit, order a set of soft or white springs for the long arm shocks. I installed the kit and I was initially disappointed with the articulation until I swapped the springs. A little pre-load adjustment and I couldn't be happier. Could "almost" post-up a 5.4 bogger on a tall boy 16 oz. can and touch the other 3 tires. Remove the limiters on the shock shafts too

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  3 года назад

😁👍👍 Yeah man! Sound advice my friend.😊🤜🤛
      And shock limiters ?
What ? Are you telling me that the long arm kit shock's come with limiter collars on the inside of the shock ? 😕 That's just lame!
I had to do the same thing with my Trx4 rear track units, remove the limiters from the rear track unit shocks,🤷😂 lol Traxxas!
Thanks for your Awesome Advice my Brother 😊👍👍

Very good job and all the explanations are excellent, I find that the orange cable and the winch hook go very well with the colors of the body of the trx4, again great job 👍

      @R.C.A.D.  3 года назад +1

      Thanks mate 😁👍
And fyi, I checked the spec's on the Rc4wd 1/8 scale winch, and it has nowhere near the power that the Rc4wd 8274 winch has, the 1/8 scale winch actually puts out close to the same power as the 9.5cti winch,😕 except that it's larger in size,🤔 so if you want a scale looking winch that has great power too, then your gonna want the Rc4wd 8274 winch,😊
And I tried this one out for the first time last week, and I would have to say, that it's not disappointing,😁👍
      I absolutely love the 8274's,😍😊👍👍
As for the orange winch line; 🤔😕 hmm I'm thinking that it's kinda overkill, it definitely looks outstanding, but it's 250lb breaking strength, is little bit excessive,🤔 😕 ultimately, I think that I'm going to restring the winch with the sufix fishing line, I'm not looking forward, to digging half way through the fishing line spool, in order to get to the orange colored section, but, it needs to be done,🤔
The fishing line breaks at 36lbs, instead of 250lbs, Which makes it a much more comfortable choice,😊👍 the winch line will break before anything else does,😁🤜🤛
The DSM recovery line is nice, but I like the Sufix fishing line, much better,😊
Thanks for your Awesome Compliments Pascal, and many more thanks for checking out the video my Brother.🙂😎👍👍

      Thank you Juan,😊👍
And it got used today, for the first time,😁 it will be seen on the next video,😊
Track kit too, "dry run" on the adventure course, with the track kit,🙄 The 1st, and only time, that my Tracks will ever be seen in the dirt,
      And I just finished cleaning them,🙄 what a mess,😕
every thing is fine, and in great working order, but I can see, that it wouldn't take to many trips around the course, before they start getting torn-up,🤔 "Drive cogs ⚙️, and the boggie wheels" that is,😕 same thing with the "insides" of the tracks themselves,🤔
They were trashed! Not literally,😊 But they were trashed with "wet" dirt/sand, buildup,🙄 😕 and that was with just, "one" trip around the course,🙁
Ultimately,🤔 if you wanted to use the track units year around, and you also wanted to keep the snow from sticking to the "internal's", 🤔 😕 you would need two complete sets, of the "track drive units themselves"🙁 A set "strictly" for snow only, and another set, for everything in-between,😕 I thoroughly cleaned the track units after my run today, And they cleaned up pretty good,🤔
But I'm thinking that, if I continued to use them, for another round, or two, they would be getting Scared up for sure,😂 I think that the most "potentially" damaging thing, was the dirt build-up on the "inside" of the rubber tracks,🤔 it's "that" build-up, that will eventually lead to the Cogs, and Boggie wheels, getting torn up,😕
Moral of the story; is that I used the winch today,😂 lol
And also, that tires work better on the Adventure Course, then the Tracks do,😂 🤔 although, the tracks did walk up the sand hills, like they were nothing,😁👍
That's the only spot, that they out performed a set of tires,🤔 😁 and they out performed them Well!,😊👍
Anyways, next video will feature the Winch in Action,😁😂 Lol👍👍
Thanks for your Awesome Compliments Brother,😊 much appreciated as always, for checking out the video,🙏 and my apologies for the short story,😂🤜🤛
Edited, "two" was spelled "to" in spot,😕😁👍

That's a great looking beat up Bronco. 😜
The winch makes it look much better (that's why I put one on mine), but yours is operational where as mine is just for show.... 😆
I'm very much looking forward to seeing some winch action out on the trails. 😜
    Great job James 🤜🤛👍

😁 yep, She's seen some Trail time, countless rollovers, accompanied with just as many attempts to re'right itself, many of them being successful,😁👍
But they definitely add insult, to injury, with unneeded Trail Rash,🙄😂
      What can you do,😕😁 lol
      As for the winch;😊
      I installed it last month,🙄
But It's going to get used tomorrow,😁👍
And ever since I got my track kit, people have asked, how they perform out on Terra Firma,😕
"Snow" is really the best, all around application for them,🤔 mainly due to the rear tracks "reverse rollover angle" 😕 that's when you are attempting to back up, but you can't,🤔 because the angle on the"rear portion" of the rear track unit, and if you have a object behind the track, that is larger than the Big Boggie wheel, at the back of the track unit, at that point in time, the rear track unit isn't able to back over the object,🤔 and if you Attempt to push it, "via throttle persuasion", it will definitely start breaking part's,😕
Now your in a spot that you can't go forward, because the angle is too much,,or you just can't get Traction on the rock's, and you can't go backwards, because the rear track is essentially jammed up,☹️ at that point, there's no choice but a Winch, or the Hand of God,😕 And that is difficult to explain, over, and over, and over again, while answering comments,😕
So,🙄 since I now have a working winch on the Bronco,😁 I figured that I would give it a workout,😊
So I currently have the Tracks installed, and I will be recording the run tomorrow afternoon, or later today I should say,😊
I've had the tracks on for a few days, but I haven't had a chance, to get the truck out yet,🙄 it actually Snowed a few inches last Sunday, and then it was warm for the last few days,😕 Which is great,😁 I wanted to do a "dry" run so to speak, no snow 😊👍 and the adventure course should be good by later this afternoon,😁👍👍 Game On! 😂 Lol
Thanks for your Awesome Comments & Compliments Teri,😊😁🙏 And very much appreciated as always, for checking out the video my friend.😎👍👍

That winch looks badazz on there man! I saw your driver in your other vids and was trying to figure out who it was, being an oldschool wrestling fan it looks like Rowdy Roddy Piper , lol man that is the coolest! Cant wait for my daughter to get her Gen7 pro opened up on Xmas and look into bodies for it down the road, chances are the driver will be a Disney princess loll

      Thanks man,😊👍
And yeah man, Mr Piper is behind the wheel, I call my Trx4, the "Rowdy Bronco"
      A Tribute to Roddy Piper!
In the words of Randy Savage, Ohhh Yeah....!
😊😁😂 Lol and in all honesty, if I had a o.g. Macho Man figure, he would probably be driving the Bronco instead,😕😁
      Although the "Rowdy Bronco,🌪️🐎"
Sounds way better, than the "Macho Man Bronco🧚🎠" Ahh ha ha,😂🤣 lol
The driver figures "in general", add a touch of realism to the RC Adventures,😁👍
I've been trying to find a driver for my Neices Gen 8 Jeep Comanche, for quite some time now,🤔 😕 trying to find a figure that is fitting for the kid, and finding a figure that is a good "Scale" fit for the vehicle can be difficult,😕 it needs to be bigger than a 1980's gi-joe character, but smaller than a wrestler figure,🤔 I seen a couple of new star wars figures that might work, but at the time that I seen them, they didn't have any female figures,😕 just a bunch of Han Solo's,🤔 which would be great, if her Gen 8 had a "white" 4dr 1980's Delta 88 body on it,😂👍
And driver seats for the RC's is another thing,🤔
Amain Hobbies has a pretty good selection of them, but sometimes the driver figure, may not be the perfect fit for the seat,😕 or it can be difficult mounting the seat itself to the vehicle, or the body, 🤔 the driver in my brothers K5 Blazer Ascender, is actually sitting on a homemade pedestal, made out of some old Erector Set pieces, that are attached to the driver side Rock slider mounts, And the driver is Zip-tied to the pedestal,😁👍 lol
Many Thanks for your Awesome Compliments, and for checking out the video my Brother,😊🙏🙏
And I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming videos too,😁👍 I'll be subbing your channel momentarily.😎🤜🤛👍

@@R.C.A.D. The Rowdy Bronco lol, Luv it man! And that Gen8 Comanche your brother was driving is wicked cool. The lift along with the body and wheels really give it a great proportion. Luv the classic Comanche body also. Everything about that truck just looks sweet together.
Thanks for the sub! I actually did a quick little video tonight to break the ice again, still have to review it and see if it's worthy lol. Just a helpful cleaning tip for changing out the seals on the Jeep hardtop I did tonight. Man what a pain lol, it took me about 8 hours today of scrubbing and peeling off the old seals including the 2 roof panels, all the little pads that the roofs sit on, to the body seals.
I'd really like to get a decent camera and mount to do some really cool stuff. Nothing feels better than helping people out or showing off your work to other people who might be doing the same thing. :D

Lol 😁🤜🤛 Many Thanks man,🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏, and the Gen 8 Jeep Comanche, is actually my Neices truck,😊
My brother is the one who paid the tab, and I was the one who Built the truck,😁
But it "technically" belongs to my 13 year old niece,😊
And yes sir, that Jeep Comanche is the 💩! Lol
And you were working on a actual full size Jeep project today `eh, and from what I understand, that is one hell of a clean up process,🤔
I've never owned a Jeep with a removable top, but I did own a 77 Blazer at one time, And I used to remove the fiberglass top all the time back in the day, So I can definitely sympathize with you, about the cleaning of the roof gaskets/seal,😕
That's a tuff clean up Job,
But I suppose, I'll see for myself in a minute, or two, since you just uploaded the video,😁👍
Or maybe not,😕 I went to watch the video, and it said that it was removed.☹️

They must be slipping over at the factory,🤔 my Neices Gen 8 Scout, was still pretty fresh on the market, when she got it for Christmas 2018,🤔 I checked everything out on it, before she ran it, and it was all good,😕 everything that needed grease, had grease on it, I did add a little extra here, and there, but for the most part, it was good to go,😕👍
      That's a bummer man,☹️
Probably somebody's first day on the job,🤔 either that or it was built on a Monday or a Friday,😕 better check out that Entire truck, before you run it, just to be safe,😊

      😁🤜🤛
Fyi checked out a few of your videos over the past week, and I absolutely love that Trx4 Sport with the gigantic tires,😁👍 Awesome!
It's crazy that it's got enough buoyancy to float with just the tires,😄
I made my Wltoys 10428a Amphibious back in 2016, But I was running Proline 2.8 Sand Paw's all the way around, and I stuffed the inside of the body with Life Vest foam, then I glued a layer of life vest foam across the bottom of the chassis, and front lower control arms, As well as having pipe wrap foam around the rear axle that extended to the inside of the rear wheels, and after all that she was floating,😄
And then that wasn't enough for me, I had to make it hydroplane capable, Which I finally did with the help of a Traxxas vxl 3s combo and a Vaterra Twin Hammer's Heavy Duty drive train swap, I was able to make that happen as well, It could hydroplane water and paddle itself back to shore if things went sideways,😂
      Anyways... Digging the Sport man.😁👍👍

Sweet vid and awesome winch, have one on my Gen 8 and love it, have to see if I can find some of that fishing line on Ebay, I'm in the UK so may not be easy to get hold of, the line they give you is sooo short

    • @R.C.A.D.

😁👍👍 yes sir, gotta love the 8274, I've had one on my Tf2 for a few years now, and it's been nothing but awesome,😊👍
And that fishing line is awesome too, If you can find some that is,🙄🤞
Unfortunately, product "Availability" does varie, from country to country,😕
But if you check out a local sporting goods store,or small bait & tackle shop, you might be able to find a similar alternative, to the Sufix fishing line, I'm assuming that it's available in Canada, since it has Pounds, and Kilogram ratings on the box, and Canada is one of the Queen's chunk of properties, So it might be available in the UK,🙄 but who's to say really,😕😊lol
And you are correct, Rc4wd doesn't give you much line to work with, it's pitiful! 🙄
I usually wind, about 10ft of line onto the winch spool, "roughly 2 meters" 😁👍
Thanks for your Great Compliments, and for taking the time to check out the video my friend,😊🙏🙏

Did You connect the winch directly to the JST coming from the Traxxas ESC ? that usually goes to the little light splitter box which sends out just over 3 Volts I think ... will the winch take a 3 cell battery if connected directly to the ESC ? or will it be toast :) lol ? great video RC AD :)

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  3 года назад +1

Yes sir, I basically wired it directly into the male jst coming from the ESC, 👍
All you need is a three way jst splitter between the ESC's Jst connector and the led power supply.🙂👍
As for pushing 3s to the Winch;🤔 That is a No-go!
I don't believe that the Rc4wd winch can handle that much juice,😕 and it definitely doesn't need that much power either,🤔 It can pull 50'lbs dead weight, and 70'lbs of rolling weight, on 6 volts of electricity,😊 so definitely no need for 3s.
      Note;
The Rc4wd wireless & wired winch controller's Specifically state that you should Not run them on a 3s system, 🤔
But! They also state that if you are running a 3s system, That you can simply Install a Bec between the in-coming power, and winch controller itself.😊👍
Or you could simply run it off of a separate battery pack,😕😁 Four "AA"s would do the job just fine.
Thanks for your Great Compliment & Question g9000 😁🙏👍 And many more thanks for checking out the video my friend.

Well first off, let me say Welcome to the Hobby Mike,😊🤝 Your going to love the Hobby, especially with that new Trx4,😁👍👍
      Secondly;
Many Thanks for your Awesome Compliments.🙏
Battery pack ? Which one ?
The one on the front is a cheap 4 "AA" battery pack, and it's wrapped with white duct tape,😂 not for waterproofing, but rather, to help hold it together,😁👍
Main battery for the truck is a Duratrax Onyx DTXC 1883 7.4v 2s 8000 mAh 25c 57wh soft pack battery, And it's been Completely Plastic dipped, via "plasti dip" 😁
So it's "Air quotations" water proof,😕

But the tires are Proline 1.9 XL Super Swamper's, in the Preditor Compound, Super Soft & Sticky,😁👍 I love them 😊
Wheels; SSD 1.9 Steel Beadlocks. "all ordered from Amain Hobbies" website, Not being Sponsored, I'm just saying, That's where I get the bulk of my stuff.😁👍

Winch looks great!! I like the idea with the two color Sufix line to see how much line is out. Did you paint the fairlead? It looks orange in the final picture, matches the grill.

😊👍 yeah man, the two color winch line fade,😁 it's the wave of the future,😂 lol
      You seen it here 1st,😁👍
And yes sir, the double roller fairlead got a matching paint job, via the old "Neon orange sharpie" 😂
Which is also what I used, for everything else on the truck that is orange,😊👍
That thing should be Sponsored by Sharpie,😂 lol
Sharpie! "Trail Rated" edition, 🤣 ha ha ha lol
      There's an idea 💡😅
Thanks for your Awesome Compliments my friend,😊
And very much appreciated for taking the time to check out the video Brother.😎👍👍🤜🤛

The lift kit looks good but I dont want it to roll on side hills, wont that mess up C.G. ?

      Well, it's not lifted yet,🙄😊
But, if I did get the lift kit,🤔
I would run the suspension, just like on the Gen 8, almost fully sagged out,😊
And that way, the truck would be getting the extra ground clearance, & articulation benefits, of the lift, but also maintain it's stability, by riding at close to it's stock height,😁👍
But that will be in the future,
There's other vehicles that require attention, before the Bronco gets a suspension lift,😁👍👍

It’s a WINCH not a wench, though you may have one of those too 🤣

At least it's spelled correctly,😂👍 lol
And to be honest with you, I'm slightly confused as to why you are bringing this up, did I miss pronounce the word "winch" ?
If so then I apologise, my entire lower lip, was completely ripped off of my face, when I was a child, and had to be surgically reattached,😕 which means that I have very little feeling in it, and believe it or not,
it does effect my speech from time to time,🤔😕 not much that I can do about it, although I do try my best to get the words out smoothly,
      Sorry Joe!
