I bought the winch bumper for my trx4 from rc4wd all 5 of them and love looking at the winch’s 😁 plus the combo of the metal bumper and winch adds some weight it especially helps with my high trails and defender
Just put a winch on my gen seven pro yesterday and i pulled the cable all the way out and didn't pinch it with my fingers and then reeled it in and it just picked my whole arm up and I'm almost 300 lb that was pretty cool I never knew they were that strong.
Ohhh...you know. I'm not sure. I mean...I'm all about the old school. And I think if a Chev fan saw you putting Ford parts on, they might throw rocks at you. But for some reason, it's okay to put a Chev driveline in a Ford. HAHA.
We never had the issue the way that I mounted it. Everything seemed to clearance well. That being said, we haven't had to use it much. So maybe if we used it constant...but...
Sure you do. I have seen a number of old Ford’s that have the winch mounted inside the grill guard. There is a ton of room. I used to be able to get in the engine bay of my F150 to fix it.

Great video sir please continue your rc quest ✊
Thank you. We have been doing awesome with this stuff.
That bumper belongs to the Chevy K8 Blazer.
You're not Average Joe, You're Average José.

That bumper looks awesome
It’s a really good one. She loves it. And I like the weight of it.
I drilled holes in the stock plastic plate and made a servo winch there.
I had tossed around the idea of doing that, but the metal plate didn’t cost that much, and the wife said she wanted it. She wants...she gets.
I wish some of the important parts of this installation where not skipped. Like powering it. Wire placement.
Powering it: It's wired into the Receiver directly.
Wire placement: zip tied to the inside of the frame to stay clear of suspension movement.
Great video. Only question is..... What did ya have to do to get Tosh to let ya work on it?? Lol 😁
Just had to be in a crunch for time.
I added a winch to my tow truck, for the scale reason. Of needing to pull cars and trucks. On to the trailer and get then un stuck.
It’s fun to be the recovery vehicle
Good vid joe
Thank you for watching
Deff badass
Where did you get the front bumper from?
RC4WD
That plate should also fit the K5 Blazer shouldnt it? I think the chassis is the same.
Yupper. The chassis is the same. Just the body and wheels change
I wonder how this bumper would look on the blazer?

@@scalefreakgaming well I mean the blazers came out with that exact bumper on em from the factory.
@@jstsumguy29 Weird. I don't ever recall seeing a Blazer with the Vertical bumpers.
Giant Chrome yes, vertical bumpers, no.
@@scalefreakgaming yea now that I got to looking I think a lot of people just bought those vertical guards and put them on their bumpers.
Watching your video I'm wondering if the line get chafed rubbing on the winch plate reeling it in and out thru the bumper

@@scalefreakgaming Thanks, I liked that there was no big ugly winch bumper
@@kmccombs28 Agreed. I don't like having the winch on the front of my rigs. I would rather put it inside the grill.
Please can you send me the link to get the bumper, please?
It’s from RC4WD. Just search for their TRX4 upgrades. There are a handful of options available.
Would this bumper fit on the blazer the chassis is the same but idk if it would fit around the body
Try it and let me know
Will that bumper fit on the k5 blazer
Can I have the link to the bumper? Pls
I don't think I can post direct links, here, but if you search for Z-S1946 on RC4WD, you should find it.
Does the cable rub on the body?
Negative. I ran the winch line low enough that it didn't make contact (barely)
I love that bumper! But holy crap it’s almost $65. Is that what you got it for or am i looking in the wrong place?
Yeah, I think it was. But...gotta pay to play
@@scalefreakgaming how do you like it? I have it in my cart, but read things about it having thin casting and breaking where it mounts up to
where you buy front bumper? url?
That one is from RC4WD. I don’t think I can paste a link on here so just search their site for TRX4.
whats the metal bumper name??
Posso montarlo con batteria 3s o devo installare un bec?
I don’t know what this says...but always install a BEC
If your going to be scale as you mention you dont put a winch under the hood...
Sure you do. I have seen a number of old Ford’s that have the winch mounted inside the grill guard. There is a ton of room. I used to be able to get in the engine bay of my F150 to fix it.
What do you mean? My winch on my work truck is under the hood. It's totally scale. You need to get out more.
