    A lot of people would disagree on me but all these brass color on the scale crawlers looks disgusting. Airbrush it with matt black and this will look 100x better.

    • @loquitos1972
      @loquitos1972 6 лет назад +2

      did you see that the TRX4 sport has only a 2ch radio? The diffs are locked in contradiction to the Bronco, The Defender and the Assault version of the TRX-4 hence doesn't need extra 2 servo's. my 2ct.

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC 6 лет назад +3

      Yep how the TRX4 should have been in the first place all that extra weight and stuff in the original makes for a less agile truck and the TRX4 should work much better now.

    • @kennetcastillo7740
      @kennetcastillo7740 6 лет назад +1

      the sport is just a bare bones trx4. non-remote locking diffs... they're permanently locked. no 2-speed transmission...just 1 crawling gear. a simpler and lighter body, but otherwise the same. same chassis, same esc & motor, same axles

    • @loquitos1972
      @loquitos1972 6 лет назад +1

      I know. The new body is cool and was thinking of ordering one (when it arrives in the Netherlands) but also got a MST CMX (locked diffs) and other build projects too. I like the 2 speed part of the regular TRX-4 so just let this one pass.

      The drive shafts fits directly without cut in the TRX-4 Defender. But the TRX-4 Bronco have a shorter wheelbase, so only for use in the Bronco this shorten is necessary.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  6 лет назад

      Thank you David! 🙏 Yes, I agree, thread lock is always good for metal in metal. 👍 Here I feel a slightly resistance at the end when I tighten the screws. Maybe because brass is a bit softer, so I thought it's maybe not necessary. 🤔

    Hey Matteo, tolles Video :D. Mir persöhnlich gefallen Knuckle Weights oder Knuckles aus brass auch sehr gut. Es ist viel besser als Gewicht in die Reifen zu stopfen. Wie schwer ist dein TRX komplett (mit Akku)?
    Wenn du schon am upgraden bist, schau dir einmal diese Teile an:
    www.shapeways.com/product/XLP5FMYQV/low-cg-battery-tray-for-trx-4?optionId=63009264
    Bestehendes Gewicht tiefer legen ist am besten
    www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-trx4-machined-overdrive-ring-pinion-gear-12-33t-tra8287/p735069
    Overdrive für die Frontachse, besserer Lenk-Radius bei gesperrter Achse, weniger Torque twist, kippt etwas weniger schnell bei steilem klettern.
    Noch etwas was mir geholfen hat, nicht speziell beim TRX, aber allgemein. Das Dämpfer- Setting. Das Fahrzeug sollte etwas einsacken wenn es am Boden steht und nicht im normalen Stehen ganz ausgefedert sein. Wenn die Dämpfung zu steif ist beginnt das Fahrzeug zu Zittern (siehe 9:13-14 im Video). Ein wenig zittern ist normal, deine Dämpfung ist gut und dein Fahrzeug bleibt auch schön ruhig, ich wollte es dir nur zeigen das du weist was ich meine. Wenn ein Fahrzeug extrem Zittert verlierst du jedes mal die Verbindung mit dem Untergrund und dadurch keine gute Traktion.

      Hoi Tino! Das Gesamtgewicht müsste ich mal wiegen, bin aber im moment in den Ferien in den Bergen und da haben wir keine Waage! (Wollen ja nicht immer ein schlechtes Gewissen haben wenn wir in den Ferien ein paar Kilos zunehmen... 😂) Du hast natürlich vollkommen recht mit deinen Ausführungen, ich bin aber eigentlich gar nicht derjenige der es bis zum letzten ausreizt. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich auch diese Brass Teile nicht verbaut wenn ich sie nicht gesponsert bekommen hätte... Und Dämpfer sind immer noch Stock, sogar das Öl drin. 😊 Da könnte ich wirklich mal was optimieren! Melde mich nach den Ferien mal wegen einem Termin zum fahren bei uns! LG Matteo

      Of course it's always a balancing act between scale appearance and performance. Why not have both? Improve the performance a bit with some upgrades...

    Jetzt würde mich intresieren wie fährt sich das im direkten Vergleich zu einem Serien Bronco? Die ca 1200 Gramm wollen natürlich auch überall rauf geschleppt werden,oder ziehen sich auch mal unter Felsvorsprünge.Ohne direkten Vergleich bin ich immer "erst" etwas skeptisch.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  6 лет назад

      Im Video sieht man ja auch eine Fahrt, die ich oft auch mit dem Serien Fahrzeug gemacht habe. Das zusätzliche Gewicht auf der Vorderachse ist positiv spürbar beim Bergauffahren. Klar nützt es beim Bergabfahren nichts, aber die Vorteile überwiegen die wenigen Nachteile. Aber du hast schon recht, jeder bewertet gut/schlecht oder positiv/negativ anders. Kommt sehr auch auf den persönlichen Fahrstil und die Vorlieben drauf an.

      Das stimmt wohl.Ich habe mal versucht (nach dem schwerer machen der Achsportale) ohne angebauten Lenkservo die Lenkung mit der Hand zu betätigen .Huuh da merkt man erst mal was das Servo leisten muß.Ohne ein Minimum 30Kg Servo würde ich den TRX4 so "schwer" nicht mehr im Gelände betreiben wollen.

    I installed this yeah racing brass kit. I put on a new servo first and centered the steering. Now my steering is off some and I can not turn my wheels by grabbing the wheels and turning. Seems like it’s binding. The 2 links I took are on correct. Any idea?

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  4 года назад +1

      NO idea, but I think there must be something wrong installed....

    • @geefim2144
      @geefim2144 4 года назад

      Matteo's RC Movies I found it. It was the 2 steering horns one on each side of the portal. I didn’t put lock tight or tighten them. They were moving and binding when I turned. Tightened and lock tight and it’s fine now.

    Except all that weight is added to what the truck has to pull up the hill.

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  4 года назад

      Yes, but this is no problem, better to get more grip because of the extra weight.
