Didn’t they sit him on the bench until his career was over? That always angered me about the Raiders. Kaufman never got to really play. I wish he’d gone somewhere else.
@@CX0909Hardly. 4,792 yds rushing over 6 years with the Raiders. He split time with Harvey Williams his rookie year, then was the no. 1 rb until Gruden brought in Tyrone Wheatley. Napoleon retired after the 2000 season to be a minister.
@@jackbryan4676 ah I am clearly miss informed. Somewhere I heard that Al Davis wound stockpile great running backs and waste their time. It was long ago. But I’m glad Kaufman got some PT. I really liked him at UW.
@@jackbryan4676 the dawgs were pretty loaded back in the 90’s. Then the PAC 10 cut their legs out from under them. Regarding last weekend I was surprised by how the O never got going. I didn’t expect the W but a better showing than that. But Michigan had a really good defensive game plan. If it had been the ‘91 huskies or Kaufman era I think it would have been a different game. They were more balanced teams with solid talent at all positions and not just a one dimensional passing attack. I loved this seasons huskies but they were a one trick pony.

@@CX0909 Me too. I think the Raiders would have kept playing Napoleon if he hadn’t retired… they ended up grabbing Charlie Garner to fill that role.
