Another great one that never gets requested is Bob and Martina McBride singing Chances Are from the movie Hope Floats. It's a great duet that nobody covers!
1981 Senior year prom song - danced this with my high school sweetheart knowing I was moving away to college. We kept in touch for a few years, but went are separate ways, eventually losing touch completely. I eventually moved out of state, got married, raised two wonderful girls who grown into amazing young women. When I hear this song, I still harken back to that night...
isnt it about a one nite stand? Not saying anything wrong with that- grew up in the 70s free love! of course I LOVE Bob Segar. I think my fav might be " Hollywood Nights" I love the part when he says " He knew right than he was to far from home"
Brad and Lex… how wonderful that you two were able to find each other in adolescence, develop your love into adulthood and will now be able to share that love as you enter into parenthood❣ We’re hoping for the very best in life for you both.. always!🙏🫶from 🇨🇦
Dude has a voice like smooth whisky. His lyrics are often about relationships, or coming of age, not exactly high literature. But his voice is absolute perfection for the lyrics he writes.
Sometimes a song comes along that says it all and that millions can relate to because each one of us has had this situation. Many duo's have recorded this song, Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton took it to number 1. With respect to those 2 singers, this song is so good, it wouldn't matter who sings it, it's total quality. Thanks Bob for sharing your talent
It’s probably my favourite of Bob’s many incredible songs… Most people tend to misinterpret/misunderstand this song…it’s not really about a hookup/one-night stand…it’s really about two lonely people and why they should “take a chance”. [“Here we are…both of us lonely”] It’s really is much more about the “let’s take a chance”…”let’s find a way”. What is there to lose? At worst…”we’ve got tonight” - if it doesn’t work out or lead to anything? No problem.
Lex....you are a treasure. Love, LOVE that so many times on many songs Brad looks confused or perplexed and you just role with it and take him along. Love that you are so open.
Such a great song " and me and my girl enjoy watching the both of you react" I've been blessed with someone who loves me and is my friend "but a song like this makes me think alot as I grow older" some people will say dont be so dark" and I'm trying to look at the brighter side of things"! When your in love and you have your little family" man you just want it to last forever
Kenny never seemed like he needed her to stay. Bob is living this song and it comes from within. Kenny just took a really good song and sang a good version of it.
Finally someone is reacting to this. This was the number one make out song when it came out....think i was in 7th or 8th grade then. Man, put this record on and you could literally feel your date melt....and you knew right then.....go for 2nd base
Kids now days. When would you listen to a song like this. Whenever it came on the radio. This generation could go from this song to Black Sabbath and never miss a beat. The only music you planned for that I remember was Zeppelin IV side two. In the backseat of your car with your girlfriend. lol
I love Bob Seger. When I was 6, my family moved from Illinois to New York, and I remember being in my dad's Jeep, listening to the Best of Bob Seger cd as we moved back east. Life was so simple, I had nothing to worry about, and we were moving towards newer and bigger adventures. I'd do anything to get that feeling back again at least one more time.
We listned to this all the time we played our music anythime we just decided to hear it , this was such a powerful popular song and of course on dates, this was one of those songs that was mood setting , this melted your heart and as a woman this is the kind of song that really makes you feel romnatic and pulls at the heart of a guy pouring his heart out to you and just wanting to spend time with you. We loved music like this , yes these were songs that yes were great on dates. It seems to me people have lost so much of the romancing tender feelings we loved and songs like this and some others made us get all mushy and sentimental and ready to fall in love with someone
This is the first Bob Seger song I ever heard. 1978, I was only 11 years old. I obviously didn’t get all of the nuisances in the song but I immediately love it. I thought it was about someone who didn’t want the person they loved to leave on a trip or something. That he wanted her to just stay one more night with him because he loved her so much. Many years later, it was the song I would think of the night before my husband would leave on an Army deployment. To this day, it is still one of my most favorite Bob Seger songs.
Now you went and reacted to one of my absolute favorites....and yes, im lonely as all get out.....but why should I worry....when we've got tonight?!! (deep in my soul)
Her smile says it all. Every girl who heard this song had that same smile on their faces listening to this song. His voice just makes it perfect! Smooth Operator but Sweet!!!
I have never heard a Seger song that I don't like, I swear the man could sing anything (A B C's, or ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT, included) and make us feel it!!!!!
When do you listen to this song. It was played by just about every cover band playing in bars back in the late seventies early eighteis and at every highschool dance it was a good slow dance tune.
Haven't commented in a couple of months but I just wanted y'all to know that I'm thrilled that you are expecting a little one and this child will have one of the most interesting childhoods any kid could ask for the two of you are going to raise a very unique child as the two of you are very special and I still believe the two of you should have your own show on one the network's because y'all have a chemistry that very unique in today's society l have watched your subscribers numbers grow over the last year and deservabley so just keep doing what you're doing we are all watching with great anticipation
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Really like to see your reaction to Marc Broussard Live with is band Song is 🎵Cry to Me 🎵 Your gonna love this one too Keep the good work my friend ✌️
That's baby making music right there. Necking in the backseat of my car at the drive-in theater with Bob Seger on the 8-track player. Unfortunately those days will never be experienced by the younger people today.
I was raised on his music, my family/ relatives on my mom's side were all Truckers/ Semi-truck drivers, Bob Seger was a truck driver before he got signed to a label
As I watch you react to this and other songs I realize how timeless some songs and some performers are. I like to think your reactions reach younger listeners and introduce them to music they would not otherwise hear!!
I lol'd when Brad said hold on a minute let me set the mood with this power ballad! 👈 def not verbatim but🤣🤣🤣 Bob just never misses with his songs, does he? 🥰
the question isn't when would you listen to this song . the question is when wouldn't you listen to this song ......the answer is simple you'd listen to it all the time ..... its Rockin Robert Seager ... only one of the best song story tellers in music history !
Oh, gorgeous song. Just tugs at your heartstrings. Two lonely people in need of a little love and affection even if it’s only for one night.
Another great one that never gets requested is Bob and Martina McBride singing Chances Are from the movie Hope Floats. It's a great duet that nobody covers!
Smashing Pumpkins fans have the best taste 😎
Everybody's lonely today ...in this terrible world
A beautiful little known song of Bob's is "Always In My Heart" if you want a truly romantic song.
@@bigrig4385uh??
Shame on the Moon is another beautiful song From Seger
Seger is such a genius that he can make a one night stand sound romantic
Its mood setting music. Bob always said that more babies were conceived to this song at the time than any other. 😉
also many " Melissa"s where conceived & named after " Melissa" by the Allman Brothers!
Such a great story teller. Bob is the best 💙
Great tune for the dancefloor slow spot.... We used to have them in the 80s
This was Seger’s Mom’s favorite song. ❤
He said that when he played it

Brad & Lex, you love his bangers "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!
Bob always says, this is his mom's favorite song of his... and it just happens to be mine, too. Thank you for another wonderful reaction!
isnt it about a one nite stand? Not saying anything wrong with that- grew up in the 70s free love! of course I LOVE Bob Segar. I think my fav might be " Hollywood Nights" I love the part when he says " He knew right than he was to far from home"
Still get chills ... what a voice
One of the best to do it. Raspy but clean voice at the same time.

Legend still singing this masterpiece live and sounding just the same.
Beautiful song- he’s throwing out all the feels to get this girl to agree to a one night stand ha!
Classic. Love his storytelling
A very unique voice. Back in the 80s, chicks were wild about his music.
and still are!
40 years later,I stI'll am...🎙🎶💋😉

@@matthewteague623 you got it Matthew!
Pure romance at it's very best, love this song.
Actually I think it's more about two lonely people and a one night stand. Sounds romantic though.
I graduated from high school in 1980. Seger was HUGE back then. Glad to see the younger people enjoying the music I grew up with.
Lex is so adorable great song and reaction!
His song, Famous Final Scene will give you chills.
Everyone forgets about that one!
not sure if i ever seen anyone react to that great song
@@frankmerris8821 I haven’t yet.
Easily a top 5 Seger song. Love’s the Last to Know is another great one.
Probably the Best Story teller there is. All of his songs tell a story. Love me some Bob Seger.
Nice..... I'd love to see you react to Still the Same by Mr.Seger
Bob Seger never disappoints
Best song of his. Its just perfect for his voice.
Shift gears- Bob Seger , Sunspot Baby
A lot of babies made from hearing this song to paraphrase Bob Seger. The Dance Floor was usually packed when this came on. Classic love song.
God bless Bob seger his music can always bring you around.
One of my fave Bob Segar songs. It goes right through your soul. It starts slow and soft and just builds and comes back down so intimate.
Seger not Segar!
@@jerryparks6123 oh excuse me for the mistake. Does it really matter? You really felt the need to correct me on that...yeesh.

This song is just so good. If I could have only 2 Bob Seger songs, it would probably be this and Turn the page
Shame on the Moon is a really great Seger song you two should check out.😊
Pure Michigan! I love the music that came out of this state. This is just a taste of it.
Prayers for you two to have everything you want in your life, many blessings. God bless both of you.
Bob Seeger is my favorite story teller musician. Main Street, Roll Me Away, & Turn The Page are my favs but there are so many more great ones.
My favorite Seger song hands down.
Bob Seeger has a wonderful sound. Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton also did a wonderful cover of this which became a hit single for Kenny Rogers.
Jeff Healey also has a beautiful rendition, but nothing tops Bob's. ruclips.net/video/MLqZSfqP7VE/видео.html
Kenny never seemed like he needed her to stay. Bob is living this song and it comes from within. Kenny just took a really good song and sang a good version of it.
