I really am enjoying this "Journal with Me" series. Just everything about it. I like that you talk at the beginning and end and then your actual process is sped up with music playing.
+phennec YAY!!! Thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement!!! I have some folks think that it's too fast, so I am gonna do little technique videos of some things slowed down. Hopefully that will help both types of learners. :) Thank you again for your commment and for watching!!!
Don't know how I missed this video when you first posted it, but what a gorgeous journal Ali! You inspire me to be more "organic" in mine. Love, love, love it😊
+Sussa Thank's so much!!! My journal is my playground and I love not having any rules!!! Do you have an IG where I can check out some of your pages??? Would LOVE to see!!! :)
Oh, Ali ... it's great that you went crazy with pictures ... at least you have them and are blessed with having those to take pictures of. Never feel that you have to apologize for something like that ... not ever. You're blessed.
Great journal video Ali and not too long at all! hope you keep doing more! Love all your tip in ideas too; will need to put that Selphy printer on my wish list. TYFS
I love your tipping Ali Brown I have been addicted to your RUclips videos for the last couple of days. Keep them coming, greetings from Perth Western Australia 😄
Dang! You just amaze me! Love your journal as usual:) Oh, thought I might mention this: I have rediscovered my Heat Embossing gun from when I used to stamp all the time. It can cut your drying time in half when you apply something wet to your pages! It's blows hot air onto the page but doesn't blow things off your table at the same time! You probably already know this though, lol!
+Amy Fentress I do have a heat gun for embossing, but do you think it will warp and mess up my pictures on the other side? I'm just concerned I'll mess somethin' up on the other side. :/
Honestly, I don't know but I was thinking more along the lines of using your wet color application and drying it before doing anything else on either side of the page. I don't think it would mess any pictures up though as long as you do not hold it in one place for too long. If I try it and there's pictures involved, I'll let you know:) Hope you and your family are doing OK.
Amy Fentress Yes! let me know! :) I kind of apply my stains in the moment so there is always pics on the other side. I guess I could try it out too...wouldn't hurt to have to print out somethin' else if it got ruined, I suppose. Thanks for checkin' in on me. We are doing much better this week. Still have a soul hole from her leavin' this earth, but know I'll see her in just a 'little bit' (in light of eternity ;) ).
I love these they give me great ideas to borrow in my own books.I love tipins but they are so new to me that it takes me longer to put them together lol Made me super excited. I am waiting on a shipment of stains and inkpads! :D I need to get better at getting pictures printed so they are ready to use in my journaling though.
+unorthodoxmama Oh yes! Get those images printed. ;) That's my main inspiration for doing this...to document the words AND the moments frozen in time. The Selphy printer has been such a wonderful tool to get me printing my pics out QUICKLY! I do much prefer my other paper from my big printer, but the Selphy is just SO MUCH MORE convenient!
I love watching your videos! Especially these journal with me! AH! I do have multiple questions! I need to know where you got that awesome stamp set with the big numbers! And did you make that peerless watercolor insert yourself?!
+Emma Matthews The stamp set I got at Walmart.com and the peerless watercolor palette I did make myself. Thanks so much for watching and for your questions!!! xoxo
Your journaling is very inspiring and creative. I love it!! Where do you find all these great gems? Such as the "Just Be Yourself" note card and "Note" Card. Do you just collect them randomly as you see them or can you actually get cool post cards from places?
+Bri Rabbit Many of those are Project Life cards that you can grab from Michaels or Hobby Lobby. If you look in the scrapbooking section, you'll see them hangin'. Hope that helps!!! xoxo
not only did your videos get me through getting my wisdom teeth out....I'm now going to finally try mixed media journaling. I ordered my chic sparrow yesterday. it was an investment for sure but I know it will be worth it!
+jodi wilson Haha!!! Thank you!!! Have you seen +TheLittleInk ? I think she is totally trumps me with tip ins! ;) She's who inspired me to do them. :) Thanks so much for watchin'! xoxo
Wow that is fast!! I like how you put together the pages...wish there was a slow button so I could slow it down just a bit but at least I can stop and go back!!! (smile) I like the tip outs and that you back the pictures - I will be giving that a try for sure. Overall - love it...and thanks for sharing
+Marcella Raplee Thank you so much! Sadly, if I slowed it down, it would be at least an hour long! haha!!!! I figured y'all would get bored before too long. ;) Excited for you to try the tip-in/outs! That's one of my favorite things to do!
+Mely Anai Hey there!!! I paid about $30 for 108 4x6 photo papers and the ink cartridges that will cover EVERY photo! :) I JUST did a big review of my Selphy printer here: ruclips.net/video/ELVr_89N5rY/видео.html if you'd like to know more! :) Thanks so much for wathing!!! xoxo
awesome! love your journal so much! quick tip, a glue stick is your bast friend when it comes to washi that wont stay put. also a good pen for writing on your pictures is a Graphik line paint pen by derwent. it has a .05 fine tip and works perfectly on a slick surface. it also comes in a bunch of pretty colors. they sell them at blick. tfs!
do you have any tips on how to insert your own pages into a premade journal? I've seen a lot of people use washi tape but I really want to use a different technique because sometimes the decorated washi can be distracting from the page, and I have some concerns about some of my pages being too heavy like acetate sheets. Thank you so much!!! :)
I love your videos! This wasn't too long at all. I have a question. What alphabet stencil did you use? I cannot find one that is good for my Traveler's Notebook. Thanks in advance!
+Christy Necaise You know, I looked around forever after seeing them in another video. I believe I finally found this one in the architect drafting king of section at Hobby Lobby. There were several sizes and this one seemed it would be best for me. I'm super happy I chose this size! :)
besides the clever and colourful journaling style (!!!!) I also enjoyed the Music in the Background quite a bit. kinda Mumford and sons like... what is it? greetz, Nic
+Marcella Raplee I usually stain pages as I go...but I recently did a Distress Stain Swatching video and so my prayer journal has a rainbow of stains in it!!! ;)
+Laurie Whitmire Paint pages? Like the watercolor palette I have in the back? Or the insert that has the watercolor koi fish on it? I would be happy to share but just want to make sure I know what TO share. ;) Thanks so much!!! xoxo
+Laurie Whitmire Oh ok! If you go to this video: ruclips.net/video/DxDehPT1T6U/видео.html I talk about that at about 13:26. :) Hope that helps for now. xoxo
+JoAnne Stanley They are little cards that are used in the Project Life style of scrapbooking. Most people journal on them and put them in specialized sheet protectors along with other pictures and cards. They have different themes and inspirational sayings on them. I just use them to tip-in my journal and put pictures on the other side. :)
omg, double sided tipins !!!! I hadn't thought of that, how awesome. I love the way you journal, it's actually inspiring me quite a bit. Great video !

I have a quick question. How much do you pay for the cartridge and paper for your canon selphy?
+Mely Anai Hey there!!! I paid about $30 for 108 4x6 photo papers and the ink cartridges that will cover EVERY photo! :) I JUST did a big review of my Selphy printer here: ruclips.net/video/ELVr_89N5rY/видео.html if you'd like to know more! :) Thanks so much for wathing!!! xoxo

+JoAnne Stanley They are little cards that are used in the Project Life style of scrapbooking.
