Ahhh I'm SO glad you've found a system that works so well for you-you can hear in your voice how contented you are in it! 🥺❤ Love love LOVE the weekly setup too, it looks super satisfying but also super functional!
It's funny how I've had the same/similar experience. I love my traveler's notebook after doing the cousin for 2024. Being able to use specific inserts that mimic the parts that I loved about the cousin, and not have to deal with as many empty pages, has been so nice.
Thank you for sharing your pages! The way you are using the daily is so brilliant! I love seeing how you make a structured notebook work for you ❤ can’t wait to see how you use this in the future 😊

Welcome to Traveler's Notebook world! I use both Hobonichi and TN but for memory keeping I love my TNs specially the vertical planner for memory keeping. I am using a cousin for the first time next year as well. enjoying both worlds.
Great video! I have used a Travelers Notebook for years and I totally get how they are emotionally cozy and comforting! I have never used the daily insert but I love how you did and I am considering that now. Would love to see your passport setup!
I have watched this video a smooth 4 times and can not figure out how your inserts are connected in the cover. I would love a video sharing that. Your setup is so cool and I am happy that you found something you like.
@@vickiTHESECRET ah sorry for not explaining that! So I have 3 total booklets, if your flipping through them in order I have 1 and 3 attached together with a TN jump/connector band, once those are banded together you thread it underneath the middle band that’s in the actual leather TN cover and then booklet 2 I have in the middle of 1 and 3 and that one gets threaded underneath that TN band we just put the other two under. I hope this helps! If not I’ll definitely do a video in the future. Thanks for being here 💗
I find it hard to explain but there is some allure regarding tns and the whole cozy leather feels. And I suppose insert system is sort of in middle between rings and bound books! Thanks for sharing, I love all tn videos ❤
@@torionpaper exactly. it’s not a once size fits all kinda thing! for years i forced myself into a rings because everyone i knew used a rings! but it just never worked for me.
I'm thinking of switching to a TN setup.... I used Sterling Ink's A5 last year (basically a dupe of the Cousin) and I do like it, but this just seems to much more customizable.... What annoys me about the Common Planner is how my journaling stuff or commonplace stuff end up getting mixed in with my to-do list. I might want to look at the journalling stuff later... but it's mixed in with all these "go grocery shopping" reminders, lol. I think I could use the Sterling Ink weekly vertical booklet, and then two insert for dailies--one for to-dos and one for journaling/stuff I might want to read later. this video was really helpful in trying to decide, so thanks for that! I'd be really interested as to how you do an index for your commonplace, if you end up making a video about that!

I also had this weird pull to my Travelers Notebook. It sat for a long time. But I started using it and got really attached to it, I think it's the ability to start fresh and be modular. But this may sound weird but I think the leather cover also plays a huge role in feeling attached. I think the tactile experience of handling is very nice. It's a natural material, not plastic or something plastic coated. I would never buy a leather notebook because it would feel to precious, but to have the insides be able to change and still keep the cover feels more approachable. I am actually really getting drawn to people who have Traveler's Covers with significant amount of wear too. I love the patina. So I try not to be too precious with mine.

I loved the tn system but it was too much moving around with booklets for me and went to a bullet journal method where everything is just everywhere which really worked with my ADHD. But since I went digital in March I've gone back to separate journals for everything which has been great. I still use it like a bullet journal. I just set up my page templates up in canva and use them on my onyx boox note air 3c a color eink android tablet. It's improved my journaling from only every once in a while to daily. Alwas nice to see someone finding a system that works.
Ah this is amazing to hear! Switching to digital seems so difficult so I applaud you for finding something that works so well. The bullet journal method is definitely something I have started gravitating to more, so I totally get the appeal. Thank you for being here
I love TN & have a couple different sized covers (standard & A5). I’ve been using cheap dot grid A5 notebooks for work & school, but for 2025 I want more structure, so I’m using a Take A Note Slim Biweekly & a personalized layout in a TN dot grid notebook. It’ll be a bit of an experiment, but I’m looking forward to it!
I have heard so many good things about the Take a Note Slim Biweekly, you will have to keep me posted and let me know how it works out for you. They have beautiful products; I would love to try them one day! Thanks for being here and good luck on your experiment!
Heh, when you said you think you're ND I had a hunch so I looked at your channel. Leather, fountain pens, sensory issues, the tactile feedback of a Sailor, the feel of the paper, an addiction to planners, and that bag dump video... I recognize a fellow ADHD sister when I see one.

They are so fun to collect, and I only have 2😂 The more I use my passport as my wallet the more I love it as well. Can't go wrong with either! Thank you for being here
Ok, I am less than 3 minutes into your video, I don't think I've ever watched your channel before, and listening to how you speak and your word choice... I was thinking that you sound so similar to me and I was wondering if you are neurodivergent right before you said it!!! Sorry, got excited! Now I'll keep watching 😄
Would love to see the passport setup! I was using a printed budget planner book but it wasn’t working for me (needed more space for certain things and less space for other things) so I’m really in the market for new system inspo. Incidentally I have Midori cream paper on the way in the mail so I can make budget inserts for my personal Filofax. 😁 thanks for a lovely video! The TN is so tempting!

Thank you so much for sharing! I know that feeling and hope you are able to find peace and happiness in a system soon. You will definitely have to keep me updated on what it ends up being!
Love your TN set up! I am also thinking of using horizontal weekly for functional planning. Can you share what stamps you are using for day and date in your weekly set up? Thank you!
I actually don’t have any stamps, they are dates I printed on Washi paper! I just used a font I liked in Canva, print and cut, and then stuck them on 💗
I enjoy your system. It is just what I need. I have been using a tablet, but it seems that every time I need to check something, the battery is dead. This system I could take with me.
Thank you! There is definitely something special about writing on paper and having something tangible to reference. You’ll have to let me know if you give it a try!
Oh my goodness. I bought the SI N1 CP Compact and I’m not loving it… you’re making me reconsider my whole 2025 plan. I was in a passport TN with SI booklets all of 2024. So wanted something bigger. Looks like you don’t have your monthly booklet on a string, is that intentional? Will it get expensive buying a 005 insert 6 times a year I wonder? What are your thoughts on archiving at the end? Thanks for sharing. Your system looks amazing.
Oh interesting! What are you not loving? Yes that is intentional, I have used it both with the string and without and lately I have liked being able to take it out and sit it on top of my desk to fill it out. It sits pretty snug, so I never have an issue of it moving/falling out which is nice! I am sure one day I will move it back it its string but right now it is just vibing 😂 The 005 was $7 so having to purchase 6 per year may not be ideal but I also look at it long term, like spending $7 every 2 months for something I like versus trying whole new books/systems seems justified to me. Plus, I probably spend more in Starbucks every 2 months so for my hobby I don't mind the cost 😅 Thank you so much for the kind comments and for being here
@ so I added to cart on Amazon and am holding 005 in my hands (man that was fast). At $7, every 2 months… totally agree. The SI is just so thick, I want to add accessories (Kraft folder & TRC canvas zip pouch) and can’t do so easily with a half inch spine of the book in the way. Staring at the 005 and envisioning how I’d use it. It’s sad because the SI will sit on a shelf. Ive already added holiday stickers, birthdays, school closures, and moon phases, so can’t even sell it. I’m going to watch your video again. 😆
@@Addicted2Planningsorry I am just seeing this! How is the 005 treating you?? Totally understand what you’re saying about being able to use the folders and such but not being able to because of a thick spine
what photo printer do you use? i also struggle to stay in one book, oh my god. i flip flop between hobonichi and travelers WAY too frequently, if i can make 1 year in 1 book it would be amazing 😹
Honestly lately I have been using the printer at my work 😂 which is a huge industrial unit lol. I used to have an Epson Workforce WF-7110 Inkjet Printer, and she served me pretty well, but I haven't used it in a while. I think flip flopping is okay! To me it's like the same as flipping between two different genres of books as a reader, at the end of the day you are still reading which is the whole point! Who cares what system it's in, as long as it makes you happy

There’s an elastic string on the inside of the binding that you stick your notebooks under! There are also things called connector bands so you can add more inserts so they don’t fall out
"I low-key think I might be neurodivergent". Honey, I say this with all the love I can muster, you just interrupted a review of a combination planner organizer notebook system to do a mini review of a fountain pen. You almost got a bingo before the "planner bingo" even came out. I have no room to talk, though. I'm literally making my own one of these from scratch because I absolutely must have it in A6 to be able to fit the recipe cards I type on A6 index cards.

OG brown covers are extra special. No other cover I have is like it. I've had mine since 2016 and it's still my favorite.
Truly! There’s definitely a certain ✨magic✨ to them
your journal is so neat and tidy 🥰🥰
Thank you ❤️❤️
Heh, when you said you think you're ND I had a hunch so I looked at your channel. Leather, fountain pens, sensory issues, the tactile feedback of a Sailor, the feel of the paper, an addiction to planners, and that bag dump video...
I recognize a fellow ADHD sister when I see one.
omg 😂 Love this thank you so much for sharing, it is definitely something I would love to get evaluated on eventually. I am sure it would help me better understand myself and my ticks 😅 Thank you for being here
@torionpaper do it sooner rather than later. Getting diagnosed and treated will change your life overnight
I love how you have set up and are using ur TN.!! I would love to see how you are using ur passport TN.!!
Ah thank you so much!! 💕 will definitely put something together soon
I do love the travelers notebooks. Been collecting the colours ❤ I am using passport size for 2025 but I might try and get the standard in too 😂
They are so fun to collect, and I only have 2😂 The more I use my passport as my wallet the more I love it as well.
Ahh how funny!! 😭 I really should go talk to a professional so I can know for sure. One day! Thanks for being here 💗💗
Yes please on the passport setup
🫡💕
Would love to see the passport setup! I was using a printed budget planner book but it wasn’t working for me (needed more space for certain things and less space for other things) so I’m really in the market for new system inspo. Incidentally I have Midori cream paper on the way in the mail so I can make budget inserts for my personal Filofax. 😁 thanks for a lovely video! The TN is so tempting!
Good to know thank you! I loved my personal Filofax as well, it’s just such a flexible system! Thank you for being here 💕
Love the setup. 😊
Thank you for being here
I returned to the TOC and just ordered a Sterling Ink NI insert. Excited for planning 2025! 🎉
I am so excited for you! You will have to let me know how you like it 💕 Thank you for being here :)
I abandoned hobonichi and use traveller's too.Much better and flexible in use❤
It is SO flexible! One of my favorite parts about it
Do you have links for the small tabs you have in your planner? you mentioned the months tab but I cant seem to find where to purchase them. along with the other metal tab. Thanks!
@@EverydayArmyWife ah yes sorry about that! Thank you for your video. To be honest, I have been all over the place with trying to find my 2025 planner peace. I loved away from Standard size, until I watched your video. I think I will try it again.
Thank you so much for sharing! I know that feeling and hope you are able to find peace and happiness in a system soon. You will definitely have to keep me updated on what it ends up being!
would love to see the passport/wallet set up!
🫡💕
I would love to see how you set up your second TN as a financial planner.
I actually just posted this video! Thanks for being here 💕
Love your TN set up! I am also thinking of using horizontal weekly for functional planning. Can you share what stamps you are using for day and date in your weekly set up? Thank you!
I actually don’t have any stamps, they are dates I printed on Washi paper! I just used a font I liked in Canva, print and cut, and then stuck them on 💗
@@torionpaper Wow, they look great. Thank you for the response!
I would love to see how you setup your passport as budget planner!

I enjoy your system. It is just what I need. I have been using a tablet, but it seems that every time I need to check something, the battery is dead. This system I could take with me.
Thank you! There is definitely something special about writing on paper and having something tangible to reference. You’ll have to let me know if you give it a try!
Love it ❤
Thank you for being here 💗
Would definitely like to see the passport size and how you are using that set-up.
Thank you for your input! I’ll work on that one this week 💕
ur handwriting is amazing
Thank you so much! Appreciate you being here 🌱
Oh my goodness.
I am sure one day I will move it back it its string but right now it is just vibing 😂
The 005 was $7 so having to purchase 6 per year may not be ideal but I also look at it long term, like spending $7 every 2 months for something I like versus trying whole new books/systems seems justified to me.
I would love to see how you use your passport as a financial planner. Right now I use a hobo weeks but would love to use my passport.
I got you! That video will be posted this Monday :) Thank you for being here
I’m going to be trying a tn in 2025 and I’m super excited 😄
Ooo I am so excited for you! You will definitely have to keep me updated and let me know how it goes for you
Your sentence about being a Nurodivergent caught my attention.
Autism myself. And I've Autism myself. And I've been going back and forth if I need to try 3rd row. And I Autism myself. And I've been going back and forth if I need to try 3rd row. And I have decided not only I'm not going to try hubaning chicken Autism myself. And I've been going back and forth if I need to try 3rd row. And I have decided not only I'm not going to try hobonichi that I really don't need to change my life.
I think you're the 1st 1 that has shared the non dated planner insert from travelers company so thank you for sharing that I might purchase 1 now after seeing it in person through your video. I wish stores with give little samples on the shelves so you could actually see the inside of the each insert so you can make up your mind if you really want it or not.
I'm glad I was able to find your video and look forward to watching your other videos in the future.
* meant to type that I have ADHD And autism
Thank you so much for sharing! And YES I wish stores had samples of the inserts on display I think that would be super helpful. The 005 insert has been a joy, you will have to keep me updated and let me know if you try it! Thank you for being here
How do all the books stay in the cover?
Wow, if you could go over your finance one, that would be amazing. You don’t have to share numbers just your system your method what you’re keeping in there that type of thing that would be great and very helpful.
You got it! I will start pulling something together this month and maybe shoot for end of Nov-Dec. Thank you for being here!
Neurodivergent here, this sounds accurate, I have to feel (literally) things out to know if I love it or not lol
Ah thank you for being here! Definitely a lot of similar feedback I’m getting in other comments. I’m glad I’m not the only one with the tactile sensitivities 😅
Love your sharing and can't wait to see passport set up!
Thank you so much! Appreciate you being here 💕💕
I’d like to see the passport pls

What ink are you using? (You weirdly tell us the -expensive- pen name, but don't tell us the ink?)
It’s just the Sailor black bottle ink

and I’m an Aries 😂
I am also neurodivergent
oh... so you won't use your Cousin for 2025, then ?
I am definitely not leaving it off of the table! I still have my 2025 Cousin and will keep it on my shelf until I feel called to use it :) Don't really know what that timeline looks like but I can definitely see myself using it again.
@@torionpaper Thank you so much for your answer to me.
