    Refreshing to see a functional one, not just full of collages. This I would see myself using, thanks for the demo :)

      Plse explain how a bullet journal with a collage is NOT functional.
      Are they all supposed to look the same? What a biased statement and so unnecessary to throw shade towards others who include artististic ability in their journals

      I know right.
      This is how I journal and track my life, cut out pictures and glue them to pages....
      Ummm, your life must not need much tracking then.
      My notebook is a hub of information and function. It's funny, I never thought to share it because it's not based on looks, but it's really really functional.

    • @XtianApi
      @XtianApi Год назад +1

      @@robyndismon394I didn't take it that negatively. One of the most popular RUclipsrs regarding travelers notebooks really only does collages.
      I don't think the commentor meant bullet journals with collages or art, as they still have a ton of function, I took it as travelers notebooks with only collages that don't function for the day to day at all. Just scrapbooks.

    Thanks Lindsey, this has been very insightful I have rewatched it quite a bit! What I like most is how you have thoughtfully split things. The challenge for me though is effectively navigating an overall working system. I want separate collections/lists for work (projects, meetings + learning about new things) and I am not quite streamlined enough in quickly knowing what/when to capture in which book so that can be very effective and productive. It would be really great if you can explain how you intuitively use your system, and how your BuJo lists really help you (the value add of each collection must outweigh the effort and mental overhead of logging). I am also using an electronic system in the background which further complicates my "flow", for me the analog system value is that it is the rough diamond and that it helps me to create memory "nuggets" in Obsidian. I really think productivity is a vital component to focus on, since we all lack time these days! Hope this can give you a few ideas on future videos...

    I love your setup! Brown is the best. I've had all the colors in standard size, and I sold them all except for my brown. I did keep a camel passport, which has been my wallet for about three years.
    I have an insert that's similar to your annual book. It's so handy to have a separate place for longer term stuff that doesn't need to be copied.
    If your love affair with the brown continues, I highly recommend trying to acquire an original Midori brown like mine. That leather is something special. I've seen quite a few pop up in Facebook groups for really reasonable prices.

    For some odd reason I’ve begun getting recommended journaling videos recently lol. I truly appreciate the tidiness and really get connected with the information that drives one’s life, but man, this is such a laborious process…it looks like lots of setup needs to be done in advance, and many simple actions that are done automatically in the digital realm (indexing, searching, tallying) have to get done manually. On the other hand, there are some quite a few summary sheets that you showed that really inspired me.

    I always love your videos. They feel very soothing and I appreciate your organizational symptoms. I've moved from a Hobonichi Weeks back to a Hobonichi Cousin this year follow you and am now in a Jibhun Techo Days B6 Slim, which I am loving. I needed something smaller than a Cousin for an EDC but the Weeks doesn't quite fit for me. The daily focus of the Jibhun Techo Days keeps it simple and focused for me. There isn't a weekly view, but I just include a weekly task list on my Monday page as well as a short sketch of the week. There's an accompanying "Ideas" book for collections, notes, anything else I need. I don't think a TN would ever work for me but still love watching your videos.

    Loving your TN videos! I love how versatile the TN which helps prevent planner boredom. I've recently started using Sanzen 52 gsm TRP inserts and loving the new TRP better because, for me, the ink dries so quickly that I don't need blotter paper (I use the same FP and ink that you do but in the fine nib). I would like to order from goodinkpressions if/when they use the new TRP...I'm assuming at some point they will run out of stock and have to replenish. I really prefer the stitched binding for my TN inserts from the staple bound, which is what I'm currently using.

I guess the fact that I've just now acquired Traveler's Notebooks in both regular and Passport size should get me moving in the right direction.

So many great ideas and just the right inspo I was craving this morning 😊 I’ve been eyeing the Goodinkpressions notebooks, but the 5 mm grid paper looks like it has a blank space at the top of the pages. I love it! I recently ordered some new passport size inserts and a sojourner cover, and I’m reworking my second passport size TN into more of an everyday and travel notebook (my other one is a mini junk journal/commonplace book and I’m happy with it that way but I don’t use it super often). Ps for a leather cover that’s as good as travelers co but a lot cheaper, have you ever tried littlemountainbindery ? Their leather is great.
