Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing well. Today’s video is a techo kaigi and mid-year planner update. I’ll be going through my ups and downs with all the notebooks I have tried this year such as the Hobonichi Techo, Hobonichi weeks, and Papertessdesigns B6. You’ll also get a sneak peak of my newest planner and what to expect in next weeks video. Thank you for being here!
So happy to see you pop up in my feed with another video, missed you these past few weeks. It’s interesting that you are using a system you didn’t expect to at the moment, I am also in that boat using a cousin which I thought would never work for me. Really excited to see your rings next week!

It's always a shame when a book you love doesn't work out. I really wanted to be a "one main book" person with the Cousin this summer, but not even a week in I caved and went back to a Weeks. Love the Cousin to journal, but for planning it just does not work for me... The moment I switched back to the Weeks for planning I felt so much stress fall off me. 😅

Yes exactly! It’s such a unique experience for everyone and you never really know until you try but yeah that feeling of relief is so nice
Hi Tori. I am now just in love with the Hobonichi Cousin a5, which I received this spring (in fact it happened in May). You’re one of the bloggers who inspired me this format. I feel so happy in it, it’s just my thing. In a5 I am more comfortable than in my beloved Weeks. Weeks always in my pocket - my companion on the road. With this pair of Hobonichi I feel comfortable. I really appreciate it.

The planner struggle is a real thing. I made the switch earlier this month from a Cousin. I am sad because I made the cousin work for over 2 years, but I just can't do the pre-printed anymore (at least not now). I ended up with a blank Stalogy and I looooooove it. Just bullet journaling but the beauty is I can make it exactly what I need, when I need it, how I need it. I also went with a B6 size which I have never used and honestly think it is my goldilocks size. I can see myself using a Paper Tess book if I were to go back to a pre-printed. My weekly is set up exactly like the Paper Tess one (it is just enough for what I need each week) and I like how it is laid out. Good luck with your new book! I hope it works well for you!
I feel so similarly to you! I loved my cousin so much but idk I can just not picture myself going back to it. I agree I think the B6 is like a Goldilock size. I love that you can customize your stalogy whenever you want to fit your needs, that’s kind of how I feel about rings! Thank you for being here ❤️
Excited to see your rings set up!! Creffective Paper has great printable inserts that are very similar to hobonichi layouts if you haven't checked them out already! I've recently been doing some planner hopping and have landed on the Sterling Ink B6 common planner combined with my A5 rings (which has incredibly been with me all year ahah). I hope you have a great time in New York!!

I filled all my passport inserts this first half of the year (I only had three), so I’m in a Narrow TN right now, using my two inserts up there.

The ring planner was a surprise! I've been looking at rings, but as someone who doesn't own a printer, I don't think it's going to happen.
I started the year in hobonichi techo and stayed in it for 1 whole month. Then I hopped into the cousin and, while the daily pages are my fav, I just can't figure out what to do with the weeklies, so it was a no from me. Then out of the blue I ordered a common planner n2 and it looks really good, but I just don't like journaling in it.
As of today, I am back in the original techo for journaling and trying to figure out a planner. I have something similar to your a6 setup in mind, but in all honesty, I have no clue what I'm doing.
Yeah totally understandable! I have a patron who said she gets her inserts sent to Staples to be printed and she really liked their quality. Finding the best of both worlds with a planner and journal is so hard so I definitely feel your struggle. Thank you for being here! 💕
I may or may not be crying at 11.06 cause I'm currently having a mental breakdown over how to plan for Q3 (nothing works)
Ah I’m so sorry you are going through that! Planning is so tough and I’ve definitely been in your shoes. My best advice is to just give yourself some grace and be patient with yourself. It helped me to sit down and list all my “non-negotiables” and what I really NEEDED in my notebook and definitely gave me some clarity. Thank you for being here ❤️
I feel like b6 stalogy is your solution
I actually purchased one earlier this year to see if I liked the size and I loved it! The only problem I ran into was that having a blank notebook was almost tooo much freedom and I need some sort of pre-set layouts of structure in my planners. I love their notebooks though the paper is one of my favs! Thanks for being here ❤️
