  • Hey yall! This project took me 6 hours to complete by myself but with help from someone this could definitely be done quicker. I love how it turned out it gives the room a whole new vibe and aesthetic!

      I’m just now learning about this cotton cloud thing and think my daughter would love it.
      I think pins or tack are the way to go! I also thought maybe duct tape would work, but tacks would probably be way better.

    You did a amazing job with that and your guide was simple and to the point!!! Love it! What did you do when hiding your wires. I dont see the wires hanging for the plugs or the LEDs.

      thanks so much, I'm glad you found it helpful, I used the clips that came with the lights to hide the wires on the ceiling

    are you using the cheap RGB lights with a remote? or the expensive RGB lights to control effects from your phone.

      my LED lights can be controlled from my phone, this will work with any LED lights though, mine were around $40-50

    What is the name of the spray adhesive? Did it damage the lights? Or wall when taking it down?

      It was the gorilla glue spray adhesive, it's linked in the description box. I actually did take it down after about 6/7 months because I moved and there was no damage at all, I didn't keep the LED lights but they still worked after removing

      led lights dont usually reach a heat to light a fire but it does get warm

    What if you have an AC vent? Do you cover that too?

      I wouldn’t cover it only because it will make your room extremely hot, I would just go around it

      I didn’t have any AC vents on my ceiling but you can always just not put the poly fill on top of them, with the extra poly fill you won’t notice the space

    How did you stick the LED lights??

      They have adhesive on them, so you just pull off the paper to expose the sticky side and just attach them directly to the poster board

      It was fine, I didn’t notice a change at all, it was never stuffy and the polyfill didn’t make the room dusty either!

      I heard that if you absolutely have to, you can use peppermint essential oils

      Unless you already have a spider problem this won’t attract spiders, I didn’t have any bug/spider issues but if you do want a preventative measure you can spray the corners of your ceiling and the polyfill with a water/peppermint oil mix

      hey, no never! I took it down because I moved into another place but there weren't any bugs at all or spiders, you should definitely do it!

      No issues at all, after 6 months some small pieces will start to dangle but I just use spray adhesive and put them back up

    wait this is definitely a fire hazard right? this looks so cute but i’ve heard that because of the polyfill people became extremely sick bc of all the dust and stuff and couldn’t sleep at night so if i’m gonna do this i’m probably gonna do a little part of my room haha

    I did mine last night and thumb tacks were a nightmare; the walls were fine but on the ceiling it sucked. Constantly falling out. If I redo it I will use a staple gun for sure

    I saw you had gotten 2 20 pound Poly Fils, is it worth just grabbing 2 5 pounds instead? I know you said you only used 10 so I wanted to know if I should get the extra just in case

      You would probably be okay with just the 10lbs because you can pull the polyfil apart a lot thinner than I did

    So when it collects dust how do Clean it? Do you just replace it?

      It honestly doesn’t collect dust, after about 6 months some of the polyfill will start to sag and you just put more spray adhesive on them

      I spray the adhesive directly onto the polyfill and then attach it to the poster board. Make sure to hold it for a few seconds to make sure it’s attached and you can always go back and add more spray adhesive. Hope that helps

      This was a rental, I’ve actually moved since then, so I would do it the exact same way, everything came down super easy after having it up for about 6 months and the ceiling wasn’t damaged at all and the thumbtack holes are so small you don’t see them

      Honestly after 6 months mine didn’t go out, I would honestly just invest in quality led lights but I put less polyfil over the lights in case I needed to change them out
