I had no issues when I used the U-Box service. They delivered it sooner than expected. Everything in good condition. I am using a U-Box again on my upcoming move.
I rented 2 wooden U-boxes for a move from Nebraska to Maryland and it was a seamlessly, efficient process. Nothing was damaged and everything was delivered on schedule. What's especially amazing is that one of those boxes held my wrought iron bedroom set which included 2 night tables and a double bed frame with absolutely no problem. That was 10 years ago. Now i'm preparing to use them again to move my mother's belongings from a storage unit to my son's basement in GA where they can be more affordably stored.
Does any disc lock fit? What is the minimum opening size diameter of the lock?
Buyer beware on this one. We had nothing but issues trying to get delivery of our goods. It is going to end up costing and additional $800.00 when all is said and done. They do not live up to their promises. Pickup went smoothly but delivery has been a nightmare.
Who drives those boxes? Myself or u haul themselves?

Used a U-Box recently with a RAV4. We normally get 30-32mpg. With the U-Box? 20. Turns out a 4X8 sheet of plywood (The front end of a U-Box) creates about 360lbs of drag at 55mph. Behind a 3500 pound car, that's about like driving up a 10% grade continuously without a trailer and that's without accounting for ANY trailer weight. I think cars should not tow a U-Box at all. Won't do this again.
