This was the most helpful video I’ve seen👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’m getting one delivered today for my move to Texas and to see the actual depth of it and height is putting me at ease lol. I’m hoping for a great experience so that I can spread the news about it as well😍
I'm moving 5 hours North and think this will be a great option so that I can start moving stuff out to the boxes little by little in the next few weeks and then when we do the drive North we can take the remaining items in the car, my sister's SUV and can rent a small Uhaul truck if needed. For me, the option of being able to start packing things into the box NOW instead of doing all of it in one day is HUGE!!
As someone who drives for Ubox, I appreciate your thorough explanation. Side note, when we sell you a lock, the packaging should still be intact and we do not have some kind of "master key" for them. But I also appreciate the caution. In my area, a lot of people suddenly tried to stop putting locks on at all and it confuses me.
Hey glad I came across your post...I responded to an ad for a U Box driver...can you tell me a little about the job?...Do you enjoy it, how many hours you work etc?...any info is appreciated
@neckarsulme I love my job. Been doing it for almost 5 years but worked for the company for 10. My work schedule is not the norm as I work 4 10s but generally CCRs (which is the job title) don't get hired as less than full time employees.
@neckarsulme so really a day consists of doing a pretrip on the truck. Making sure any deliveries for that day are loaded, scanning them in on the app. Starting your route and heading out. Driving a semi is definitely fun but stressful at first. My favorite part is the forklift that's on the back of the truck, called a donkey. Super maneuverable and fun to drive. You see it on the video this guy posted.
Lawn mower? I hope you drained the gas. Big closed box with plenty of gas fumes could be fun for the person that ignores the no smoking sign at the storage facility 🙂
I just spoke with one company. 2 men . Between 7-9k to move large one bedroom . Only 499 miles intrastate! WTH didn’t even ask what we were moving. That’s insane
@@Bobdinkins666 why would intrastate be a lot ? We moved from jersey to California a few years ago , two bedroom apartment and I literally paid less than 1300. I was going from NorCal to SoCal , makes no sense
Hey, We are planning to rent these U-Box for our cross country move. U-Haul says, these boxes can be loaded upto 2000lbs. is there a trick you had while loading these boxes to ensure we are not exceeding the weight limits of each U-Box? Thank in advance for reply
Worse experience ever!!!! Initially it seemed ok...until they had to deliver it to the destination and that is when the issues arose....lies, being bounced around only to find out that my Uboxes would not be delivered ON TIME and the date that I chose. I would not do it again. Their system to leave instructions is an absolute disaster. Do not trust them at all. Do not do this online if you are still going to do it. I left instructions so many times online and it just would not take. I finally had to email the uhaul service email and they verbalized over email they had the instructions. They date approaches and I send them more instructions and picture and when they date arrives: well we tried to contact you to schedule it and you didn't answer. Absolute BS/Lies/Dishonest. Then they bounce me that day on more than 5 calls that take me hours of my day and all giving me the wrong information only to be told that they are storing my uboxes until July 5th.
The pricing is a bit confusing to me. Its 70 bucks a month? And what if you want to keep the ubox on your property and not have them take it and bring it back? Is that a feature for these ubox rentals?
I used 3 U-Boxes to move cross country earlier this year and they worked great! It was definitely the cheapest option.

Thanks, your video conformed for me that I can fit my garden tractor inside a U-Box.
Thank you for being so thorough! You helped me out for sure.

3:54 So the screws are exposed? Someone can unscrew that no problem and be right in there. Then seal it back up with no one knowing.

@@lisamoore9929 oh nice..thank you so much for the info...does your truck have manual or automatic transmission?
@@neckarsulme my truck is automatic. As far as I know all Ubox trucks are.
As long as my queen size mattress and bed set can fit then I'm cool.

They specifically say you can't store a lawn mower unless it is drained.

Intrastate is always a lot
Was the company U-Haul uboxes? Or another company?
@@EQAchilles a privately owned company, not U-Haul

What ramp did you use to load your lawn mower? Can you share a link?
the prise is not bad :D on the spring you get the box back and putt all winter stuff in to it .
Definitely consider apple airbags for accountability purposes.
Great video. Thank you.
4:28 You cheeky shit lol
Great video
Thank you
Best video on this. TY
Thanks, Samuel!

Man, you uhaul should pay you for this. I’m looking to become a Ubox driver so this really helps
But why would you give up your acting career
@@emmaknightley lmaooo 😂
Uhaul Uboxs is a scam. They will ship your stuff late to make sure you have to pay for another month.
Pods is better
That’s nice my dude
