Ray, I have to say - I've been playing this tune since it was released, yet like so many tunes I've mastered, I promptly forgot it! Lol Thanks for the perfect tune-up (pun unintended!) as I search for the brain cells that knew how to play this many years ago, I love your perfect lesson - but best is your humor. We play alike, and that is the practical nature of playing. The economy. Move hand less - especially when we're playing live. My first view of one of your vids, but I'll be back. I wish we were neighbors. It'd be a hoot to jam with you, and make some great music along the way. My wife would have fun too. She's my #1 supporter. Hope all's well in your world.
No joke, I was listening to this song when I received the notification that you had uploaded this video. One of these days you'll have to lend me your mind reading device :)
Thank you for these videos! I grew up during the grunge era and AIC is one of my favorite bands. I hadn't listened to them in a few years though. They popped in my mind the other day and ive been watching your videos ever since. Ive learned 5 AIC songs and a MS song in the last 2 days from your channel. Your a good teacher, thanks again !
Thank you for making videos like these its incredibly helpful for those of us who dont know the chords all that well and the tabs are a little weird trying to follow sometimes
@@RyanLendt I was born 12/25/1973. Is there any possible way that I could get cleaning my gun for a birthday/Christmas present this year? Thanks for all your doing to the ole six string community!
Here’s the deal. I’m quarantined because of Corona. I’m trying to learn the guitar but I wind up just watching people cover and teach songs I like and there’s no way I’ll get this shit down as a straight up beginner. Anyway, this guy seems like a good ass teacher and player. Keep it up bro! And Alice In Chains kick ass
Something's gotta turn out right... Great lesson Ryan, I am doing a refresher lesson. I had Sap on cd back in the day. This lesson is helpful for the blue notes for me. I am still green like Kermit but practice is important. Thanks once again Ryan.
Thanks for the serious barre chord lesson and song. I play open d and f barre higher on fretboard, but I wonder if that's likely to me being less experienced with barre chords. My question is, do you feel playing all barre chords are better once one can play them properly and are more true to the song?
This song reminds me that I’m shit at remember non PJ song tittles.... looked and it was like.... ahhh I don’t know that one .... then once I hear it ... it’s like only one of my most favourite AIC tunes... especially the unplugged version.
What part of S.E Pa are you in? When I was wee little tyke I lived in Beaver Valley area "Racoon Township" back then the population was around 100, our closest neighborhood was over a mile away...lol
I'm in Paoli - somewhere not too far from Philly - although I've lived here for a year and a half and still have no clue where I am. I have a terrible sense of direction. this is in no way shape or form a joke of any kind.
I can't figure out for the life of me where he got that - I found some on etsy but they are out of stock :( where do you live Uncle E we should golf sometime
@Ryan Lendt I’m afraid to far Ryan, Michigan. I am also just starting out, this is my first year but I have improved a lot, even played a nine hole :) Thank you for the offer Ryan!
12/24/19. Your Pearl Jam video, “Even Flow-campfire style”, you made 2 weeks ago just keeps rolling up the views-it looks at least a 1,000 views a day. On December 22nd, 22,000 views; On December 23rd, 25,000 views; on December 24 at 2:24 am, 26,000 views so far with 20+ hours to go to gain more views on December 24th. In my recommended list are 6 of your videos: Layla(acoustic); Actually play Black(Pearl Jam) 40,756 views; Got Me wrong(AIC); My Hero(Foo Fighters) 7,968 views; Rooster(AIC) 57,431 views; Even Flow(Pearl Jam) 26,295 views. Of your last 30 videos, about 24 of them have less than 1,000 views, so this “Even Flow” video is almost getting more views than all of your other videos for the month combined! You and a lot of artists used to get 20,000+ views per video a couple of years ago, then it stopped for you and others, seemingly like overnight. Do you think RUclips’s Adpocalypse had something to do with you and many other artists dropping views so dramatically all of a sudden? Why is Even Flow doing so much better than your other current videos, like 26,000 versus 700 views? Can you give me something more than just saying “algorithms.” Thanks and take care, Ryan.
Well, I think there are just some songs that not many folks (relatively speaking of course) are interested in learning. I love putting out the videos that "only" 700 people watch just as much as I do the super duper ones, because I know that every song is SOMEONE's favorite song :) but youtube does control to a great extent who discovers my channel, and the even flow campfire video seems to have tripped the algorithm because my channel's daily views are up by 300% since just two weeks ago when i published that video. I find this increase staggering, and I'm elated and grateful to all the folks who are learning along with me, including you MM :)
Hi Ryan, I thought you were one of those guitarists that got brought out to Nashville but now you said something else where it's freezing, I guess not, sorry.
These Alice in chains lessons are on fire! This song is one of my favorites, great lesson!
thanks so much Lorenzo - cheers!
Do you have anything on some of the solos during the unplugged ? I’m signing up to be a supporter of the cause as we speak !
I love Laynes Vocal points in this song
