Just my personal opinion, this post means nothing to me I'm Portuguese and we don't accept those kinds of credits, when you deal credit with China means you're at the end of the line and no one else loans you.
There is no mention such issue, debt trap, to date. This is your own opnion and Jamaican are good business men and are not that dumb unless they are corrupt as teh west alway protrait to be.
Chinese offered loans with much lower interest rate than IMF /World bank /w Wall street capitals. IMF/world bank is the real debt trap. China just provide alternatives, and countries can always say NO if they dont like the offer, Chinese never do Coups, or control your media to influence your people thing.
