Hey guys, love to hear thoughts on this one. How big a part to you think metabolism and genetics play in someone's weight gain/ weight loss? Have you been tempted to use these as excuses? Join a virtual 21 Day Transformation! trainerjoes.com/

If doctors really understood food and it's effects on humans they would completely change hospital food.

Love this! So sick of the victim culture we live in. Self care includes not being fat. I have been doing your plan with cottage cheese instead of oatmeal and one fruit a day. Eating for the weight I should be. Obesity is a disease...the disease of gluttony. You go trainer Joe! Blessings.

I have questions- I’ve been the exact same weight range, give or take 5 pounds, for 14 years. No going up and, no matter how hard I fight it, no going below 150. I stopped so many foods for the last 18 months and eat mostly low carb because carbs make me sleepy and I hate that. I consistently workout 45 minutes 2-3 days a week (been active my whole life) with cardio, weights, and bands. I feel good and I’m pretty fit for 56. I use to be able to lose weight easily. Turning 50 seemed to lock it all in place. I’ve never been so discouraged with this area of my life. My best weight has been 104-125 at different stages of life. I know you’re going to say to go do the 21 day transformation. You said it’s not forever. But, then you said people gain their weight back because they didn’t KEEP doing the thing that made them lose weight, like Jenny Craig. If I jump in and do the 21 days, won’t I have to keep doing it to keep my weight down? It seems like a diet that’s going to backfire the way most diets do because it’s not sustainable.
I stopped eating after 7:30 and even sooner for over a week. Zero change. I already drink tons of water. I don’t eat sugary foods or drinks, I stopped butter and cheese months ago. No mayo, and It’s not salad dressing. I dont eat much of that either. I go hungry often to where I feel terrible and that doesn’t work either. The more I try to cut back portions the worse and bloated my body looks. My next step is sodium. That seems to be a factor that blows me up overnight. I’m just hesitant to do something that’s going to make my body worse not better.

I am going to assume you are about 5’2” or 5’3” tall but feel free to correct me. And yes, based on what you are saying the best advice I have is to do my 21 Day Transformation. Yes, you will need to do something that is sustainable. And no, you don’t have to do my plan forever or even long term. What you need is to change the way you think. That needs to be forever. What we do over the 21 Days is designed to change your THINKING forever. The next best thing would be to read my book:) Or you can just watch my youtube videos of course but it appears you need more than that.

I agree back in the day we were told we could achieve the weight we desired. Now we hear how we are genetically stuck and it's not our fault. It's setting us all up for bad health
