How To Punch In The Muay Thai Clinch

Often times when clinching in muay thai, it is easy to forget to make use of punches. Too often in muay thai I see when one fighter wants to clinch, the other fighter just goes along with it out of habit, and forgets that they are still in a range where punches and elbows are still a possibility.
This muay thai clinch tutorial shows how you can still attack your opponent with punches while they are trying to tie you up in a muay thai clinch.
TFC (The Fight Centre) Head Trainer, Ben Johnston, also shows how you can practice these punches on a bag, as sometimes a willing partner to practice on may not always be available.

this seems like a great way to get a fighter who's really good at clinching to get off of you unless he got the same thing on his sleeve to also start punching you in the clinch

Please check out Soe Lin Oo ( Lethwei fighter ) . He's the master of close range fighting and master of lethwei clinch. In Lethwei clinch , lethwei fighters prefer punching than throwing knees or sweeping.
