I got banned for apparently hacking the game. I obviously didn't hack as I am honestly not knowledgeable enough about hacking, I wouldn't know the first way to start... I got banned for playing my Twink Character (BigBadEro) on my second account. Really shocking that this happened and I truly hope Blizzard can appeal this ban. I can only assume I was unjustly reported for my character being too strong.

i've previously been banned for hacking, fell through the bottom of a battleground in twin peaks into the abyss - died and respawned. Finished the battleground, then copped a 6 month suspension saying i cheated. No tickets were answered properly and only got the same response you received. Unfortunately was a wowcation for me.

I personally feel for you because I myself work at Microsoft and let me tell you when it comes to support, life ain't easy because of the layoffs so I'm guessing your ticket was answered in a fast pace to complete the initial service level agreement on the case (known as IR SLA in corporate world) and it hangs somewhere unassigned waiting for it to be sent to a support agent who may also be flooded with cases.
I also play this game and to be honest, since the pandemic started, it feels like their support went from 100% being there to help you, down to 0% where you can't even get in contact with someone and that says a lot about value when it comes to your customers because they are the ones who keep your company alive and at this point, if it wasn't for wow, Blizz wouldn't exist anymore as the other genres don't generate that much to keep it running.
Yeah, it really stinks when support just can't seem to get it together, especially when you're stuck in limbo waiting for answers. Your insider view from Microsoft adds some interesting context. Let's hope Blizzard steps up their game soon! All I would like is a better support structure at blizzard and to not get banned for enjoying the game I am paying for. >,
@@ErosiumTV YEA your stuck in limbo, I would bet a group you were in reported you for soloing the dungeon. and Blizzard just doesnt care about individual players like back in the day. I personally have played since 2004. I have over 30toons 70. I saw when what you did was on youtube like a year or more ago, and lots got banned for doing what you did.. so Im certain thats what got you. good luck
I have a few toons I use to raid on in a certain guild that noone has been on in over a year.. up to 15 years. which is when we raided.. and I cant get the gm of guild to recruit or anything on it.. gms say it cant be done because I need to be in the top 4 spots, which are added ranks for the guild masters s alts.. for the purpose of the automated guild master over throw is frozen.
I was banned back in BfA for "botting". I sent in MULTIPLE tickets and they threatened me for sending repeated tickets. A friend of mine used to work at Blizzard and told me to email J Allen Brack directly. Turns out there is a guy they paid to read the Presidents emails and he finally got the banned over turned and they gave me a month of game time as an apology. Their customer is absolute trash and Blizzard has become such a horrible company. I still have the emails if you want to see them.
Wow! This custom experience sucks. However, I am so happy you were able to get your ban overturned. This seems like such a difficult task. If my tickets do not prevail I would love to see those emails. Honestly, any opportunity I have to try and get these bans overturned I will take. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Due to a house fire I have lost my gaming pc and no longer have the ability. But love the memories. Hopefully soon life will change for the better and I will get another. Love the video. Liked n subscribed

They will never tell you what you did wrong. I was banned once. I had just started playing the game. I had three gold. I was banned for gold botting. It took them nine days to sort it out. The week of the Christmas holiday when I had planned to play a lot. I nearly dropped the game then. I was heartbroken to be accused of cheating. The thing is, I have friends who know me well. They got me into the game and they were ready to drop the game too. I never was told what happened neither did they apologize. They could have given me a piece of armor or something. They didn’t even offer to add those days to my game time.
They fired the support staff, if they hire some more real people they may lift the ban.
Hey mate, I got banned for some supposed reason (I still have no idea why) some years ago as well, I was levelling alts by farming ore in Pandaria, not sure if it was from being reported by other disgruntled players having me farm their nodes or because I followed the same path farming ores for hours on end. Either way I got banned and it took me 2 weeks to get my account back after many, many emails and automated replies. Mid way through I was contemplating starting again and losing many years of farmed mounted and mogs ect. I know how frustrating it is and sorry to hear this. You'll get the account back just hang in there.
They probably can't answer the ticket because so many other people got fired. They just haven't gotten to the ticket with all 3 of their employees left.
Sounds like you're onto something there. Staffing shortages can definitely put a strain on customer support, leaving folks like us waiting in limbo. Let's hope they can get through the backlog soon. Hang in there, mate!
It might feel weird for doing this, but I would suggest getting in touch with another streamer/content creator who may have contacts in blizz like Bellular. Most of the well known streamers (not saying you're not well known) have someone they know there that they get info and hints from. Waiting around for a ticket response is never going to o you any good unfortunately, especially since it has been almost a week now. Maybe try to get this issue to someone like Asmon who can get some awareness raised. It feels weird asking other people for help on a problm like this, but it might be your only option now.
It's possible that you got falsely banned due to corrupted RAM. This has happened to someone I know a long time ago.
Just got perma Banned today for Exploitative Activity Unauthorized Cheat Programs (Hacks) on my 15+ year old account. I wasn't botting, feels bad man.
Damn man, I started playing wow not too long ago and found your channel when looking for beginner guides. one thing I always appreciated was how much enthusiasm you always had and the overall joy you seem to get making content for this game. I don't like seeing you down like this brother don't be defeated! If only Blizzard would give a shit like they did in the 2000s. I stopped playing the day BG3 came out but stayed subbed because of your attitude, chin up man ill be waiting for the update when you get your account back!

crazy i would just quit if i got banned for 6 months
I was also banned for 14 days yesterday. I neither bought gold for real money, nor did I bid or earn gold illegally. Only raided gnomeregan within the guild and gave our guild member 20 gold, he got potions for the final boss. The rest of the gold went to the guild bank. and the only thing I get are automated responses from support. there are no more gms
I wish you good luck getting the ban lifted, if i reveiced an accountban i would sue them, unironicly. Sadly that is only an option in the eu, particularly in germany as there are already similar cases making their agb in parts void.

I was banned years ago over market manipulation. I sold items so I could use the money to buy items for my other characters. I suspect it was selling a rare pet. Most likely some kid complained over the price. So ban the seller. It took me a long time to grind some gear. I was banned back in 2008. I avoid blizzard multiplayer games now.
Makes you wonder how well can Blizzard actually investigate game issues??
I really hope you get the ban overturned soon Theo. I know if it were me in your position I would be going stir crazy right now> I hate to see people punished when they haven't done anything wrong. It really makes a mockery of the game when you hear of something like this and you've seen in all the years you've been playing all those hackers...mines and herbs dissapearing right before your eyes. It's high time Blizzard either employed enough GM's to respond and read emails quicker or go back to having phone lines and employ reps to answer them. AND as far as the good will gesture of twice as much game time as what you lost.....how comes they gave other content creators 1 month of game time when they realised they'd made a mistake? I hate false bans. Never happened to me in a MMO yet, but I was banned from every Battlefield game that uses Punkbuster for zero reason, and it is nearly impossible to appeal it. The company is basically dead, but you can still be banned by it.
I feel sorry for you, but i think you should consider quitting, i mean, the company obviously dont respect about you, but dont take it personally, they dont respect anybody, not just you

I have discovered your channel back in SL with mission tables gold making and I appreciate all the tips you gave me. I don't want to sound like a jerk but it hurts to see you almost back bending for Blizzard while they treat you like this. I remember you stood by WoW even as the infamous exodus of players of patch 9.1 was happening. Really sad to see how little Blizzard care for the costumers feeding them these automated empty responses, makes me think if our time spend in any of their products is really worth it...
EROSIUM there're lots of people out there just jealous of your happiness. I got warning saying that I used bad words to others, which make no sense cause I can't say bad words, that's how I grew up. Even my close friends always had tried to make me say things just for the fun of it cause they know it's impossible for me to do so but they do it as a jock or just pure fun. Keep up to wonderful positive energy you bring to the wow community. We love you and respect you so much. Hope everything gets back to normal asap.

You got an auto bot answer... This is the state of Blizzard. You never get in contact with a real GM. It's completely absurd these days... You can't get unbanned, trust me, I've tried. I got banned for chat abuse and got the chat logs with nothing but "gg, bg, my bad, lmao u got smashed" n similar... Then you get that exact auto-bot answer that you got.
Man, that's ridiculous. Automated responses for something as simple as chat comments? Blizzard's support system really needs a serious upgrade. Hang in there, buddy. Hopefully, things turn around for us soon.

Passively running a character from a second account is absolutely against the ToS.....
I'll paraphrase from a Blue post that came out on Nov 3 2020, highlighting a change to the ToS: "We find that, like full automation of play, multiple-account mirroring disturbs the gameplay experience for the vast majority of players who control a single account at a time...... We urge all players to cease using ANY MEANS of mirroring gameplay across multiple WoW accounts immediately, in order to maintain uninterrupted access to World of Warcraft."
Saying that you "believe what you were doing is within the ToS" doesn't really fly. Either you know it's OK or you don't know. Ignorance isn't an excuse. Regardless, it's pretty obviously unethical. You're taking a spot away in that dungeon from another player who wants to actively play.
All that said, it is a bit harsh to straight-up ban you without giving you a warning in the first instance.
Can I ask, how exactly were you "passively" running the 2nd character? Was it with command-mirroring or did you simple have the 2nd account on "follow"? If it was the latter, then the ban is a bit harsh - a warning might have been more appropriate in that instance.
If you buy tokens…. Buy hearthstone cards and more from your account…. You got more chance of not getting banned when you do something your not ment to 👍

Hey guys! So just further to this: Multiboxing is not a bannable offense (It is not against TOS). However having 3rd party software to manage multiboxing is definitely a bannable offense. Blizzard do not like 3rd party softwares period! Check Swifty and other popular WoW streamers who often play 2 accounts at the same time without 3rd party software, it is allowed. :)

Also heard somewhere in classic sod video but since gold farmer I prob tell ya. So people buy gold can send to alt ban ya like apparently few people never bought gold. Just open mail box in classic there gold farmer apparently gotten ban. Apparently doing this so also off chance could happened granted I play retail but thought bring that up. Because hearing becoming issue as of late I been careful what mail I open take gold from. So chance could happened u. Without knowing but thought throw that out there
Actually, this not quite accurate. Blizzard changed the rules on 3 Nov 2020 and highlighted that whilst full-automation (with software) is bannable, so is ANY form of account mirroring. "We urge all players to cease using ANY MEANS of mirroring gameplay across multiple WoW accounts immediately, in order to maintain uninterrupted access to World of Warcraft."
If you're not controlling the character on the second account then you're basically trying to level for "free" and you're taking the dungeon spot away from someone that wants to play actively (instead of passively).
How can you even think that's OK?
@@GooseComics And yet, he did get banned. Seriously, Blizzard said that they want to stop all forms of account mirroring, not just the use of full-automation software. Regardless, of that, how can you possibly think that it's ethical to level a character without controlling that character. He did this for 14 hours straight and probably got reported multiple times. Blizzard were able to easily deduce that during those 14 hours he wasn't actively controlling the second account - easy to prove.
Blizzard has banned 7 accounts I've had over the years and ignored all tickets and support reasons each time, and when I discussed it with friends it was the same case for them too. No ToS Breaks at all, just randomly getting banned from the game. The reason why Blizzard does this is they know dedicated players will rebuy their game, so they ban players with high play time, because they know addiction will bring players back. It's a scumbag practice they've carried on for 20 years, and they do it even in the Starcraft 2 Ranked Scene, since even my Starcraft 2 account was randomly terminated without cause or reason. Mind you I've played Blizz games my entire life, and these issues were only ever issues for World of Warcraft, and Starcraft 2, where their corruption from staff/mods is very high.

Granted not ban yet but I have 2nd account on stand by if this ever happens to me got bank alt guild store half my gold in have one my other account dude as guild master that way something happens not 100% starting from 0 have tad bit money work with. Be annoying though cause my current had since 2008 would hate lose it. Since got wow 4th anniversary achievement and baby blizz bear battle pet which I hold dear
I also got banned back in TBC classic twice actually with same character after the 2nd ban my penalty extend cuz of ban appeals i belive that was about mana-tombs farms
So I've just found your channel and this is the second video I watched about this situation. They would easily be able to tell that it was in game mechanics that killed the other players due to mind control so that's not it. It comes down to you were running two accounts at once and running them through the same dungeon at once. Multiboxing is not against the TOS but it can look very shady to other players. What is against the rules is using third party software or hardware to multibox. Were you doing that? It didn't used to be against the rules but it is now. I know that there has been big backlash against people doing that lately. I myself made a post on the forums a while back about multiboxing while farming ore or herb nodes because it's totally aggravating to be farming and to see a multiboxer using tandem riding to carry their second character around. Even without using third party software it only takes and extra 3 seconds to have two characters farm a node which completely goes against the spirit of why you can't use third party software or hardware to multibox, it creates a huge unfair advantage in the game. I've never encountered a multiboxer in a dungeon to my knowledge so I can't speak on your specific scenario, but I am sure the fact you were controlling two characters at once in a dungeon it what set off the alarm bells and raised a red flag.

@@ErosiumTV Hey, I just woke up, west coast of USA, and the first thing I saw when I pulled up youtube was you are unbanned. Watching that video now. I am glad it worked out for you. Blizzard really needs more live people on their support staff. I miss back in the day when you could actually talk to a GM in game. They need to stop being cheap and bring some of that back, especially with all of the microtransactions they are pulling out of people these days and the Wow Token. After I found out that the Celestial Steed made more money than Starcraft 2 I was so pissed with the lack of customer service they provide these days.
The more tickets you make, the longer it generally takes to get a response. It fills up the queue. Pretty sure you didn't get banned for killing team mates while under mind control. I have done that all the time. In fact, sometimes, I just do it on purpose.

If i had a guess, I feel like you got banned for boosting or alt running which is tricky cause they are funning about alts. my buddy got perm ban for running his alt threw dungeons aswell for "boosting" which is not allowed. that would be my best guess, but ya never know WoW is funny sometimes.
I use just way back when just bored offer few low level run cause I was bored was farm dungeon let them take gear they could equip anything couldn't I take sell either to ah or soul bound to vendor. They get run exp I get strick up maybe bit talking so I say was win win. Afraid now days cause my luck offer random low level prob get banned even though trade no gold no irl money just hey take little time give little company talk to me little in return give you exp. Gear anything can't equip I throw ah. So in way i boosted but never about gold for me just having company was prob already do it anyway. Sh dad use do same even I was low level actually how got twink hunter back then lol
I'll bet some of those ppl in your group reported you for being OP (some people if they don't understand something they just assume it's hacking). Enough reports and system bans you.
"Customer service" is a joke at Blizzard these days, but I guess you'll be unbanned at some point because you're a stramer/youtuber, and case will get enough stink around it. Problem is most players won't be unbanned in cases like this, which is really sad. Meanwhile...bots are prospering at all time high. Corporation at its finest.

Never though you could solo dungeons at level 11 certainly on anything other than a druid ???? must try this myself, are you building this character as a twink? Hope they get it sorted out for you. Personally ive dealt with blizz multiple times and had friends do the same re bans/hacks etc and they have always been brilliant with customer service more so than any other gaming company ive seen so very unlike them to just ghost you.
I think your situation is very unfortunate and based on what you have said, I would be surprised if they didn't unban the account. A tip from someone who responds to these types of tickets in the games industry, if you keep responding to your ticket, it will just push it to the back of the que. This is because as you making new posts, it counts as a new update, and generally working through tickets the process is to sort by when it was updated with the oldest being the priority. This is unfortunately a common practice in this environment.
Making new tickets will probably not add anything other than potentially confusing customer support staff when it comes to resolving your ticket. You may have two people working your case without the other knowing. I would have just written your second ticket as a comment to your first and left it at that. As frustrating as it sounds, you just need to have a bit of patience with this type of thing, its lame but it is what it is.
I hope you get your account back, I have enjoyed your content and have even been a member on your website. It would really suck to see you lose this one.
Indeed it would suck so much if they don't overturn it. I have actually just had a response from them which was the exact same auto response and then they closed my tickets. I now have to open a new ticket all together again 😞 these autoresponders are absolutely brutal

You should remain calm and wait for them to respond everytime you make a new ticket you are at the bottom of the queue

considering it's a paid *and* subscription-based game, they should really invest more in ban appeals and that whole part of support and customer service, when they can apparently ban based on little to no evidence and just multiple reports. you shouldn't be getting banned from just being good at grinding (which you are kinda supposed to do in this game?).

Totally agree with you. It's ridiculous that they're not putting more resources into supporting paying players, especially when bans can feel so arbitrary. Grinding is just part of the game, not a reason to get banned. Let's hope they smarten up soon.
1. What you had describe on your lvl 11 toons and what happened in the instance will be 100% not relevant to the ban, I had tried to be an asshole and ganking lowbies for months in questing area before and never got any issues. It’s part of the game.
2. Assuming you are telling the truth which you did not use other ‘assisting tools’ to play the game, when you are power leveling your alts, are you multiboxing? This is the only reason I can think of because blizzard mentioned multi boxing is not allowed.
3. If not, then one more advice for you, your letter is weak and sounded guilty. I had been MIS banned before and I always wrote very strong (only not saying FU) email to them and I always get my issues resolved soon
Hey Jimmie, thank you very much for this comment. I have never used third party software for world of Warcraft. I don't. Multibox sometimes I have two versions of world of Warcraft open, but I never use software to manage it I just tab.
All the advice from streamers so far is that I should keep being nice to blizzard in the tickets in order to progress it. I could write a strong worded ticket, however, I think it would make them dislike me rather than want to help me. If you have any particular examples in mind, let me know and I will definitely consider it for the next ticket
So, yesterday was my time, i actually got banned from my 12 YO World of Warcraft account for the same reason as u, third party softwares/hacks... but i actually dont know what got me banned, i sent them a ticket, its been 24 hours and i didnt received a response yet... i dont know what to do, 12 years of playing the same game without NEVER EVER breaking ANY rules and now my account is perma banned and i dont know why :(
@@kennayfps keep creating tickets Everytime they close one, reopen a ticket. Keep going, never give up. One of my viewers had this issue too and got unbanned after about 10 tickets. For me it was 7 so either way keep going and never give up.

@@ErosiumTV I heard that they will eventually revoke your access to create tickets and even permanently close your battlenet account though if you continue after a warning. Should I keep making tickets? They told me all my further appeals will be ignored. I have good reason to believe I was banned by someone abusing their connections with a blizzard GM who probably set a note on my account saying not to unban me no matter what or something along those lines. I had 3 real humans review my case and all three told me that the decision will NOT be overturned; I know they were humans because they weren't just using automated templates and actually wrote stuff back to me.
I'm really worried that I won't get unbanned because I'm in the US and in the EU there are stricter laws regarding this type of stuff, and I think you can even request your own ban logs which I unfortunately cannot do. Do you have any other advice?

It's possible that some folks misunderstood what was going on and reported me for something unintended. Hopefully, Blizzard can clarify the situation soon
Hey brother, one thing I've heard being mentioned as a result of a lot of these automated bans is for anyone on the EU servers to mention the GDPR regulation in their replies to Blizzard. I'm NA myself, but as it has been explained to me,
"The GDPR states that it is not allowed that your personal information is only processed by automatic processes without a human looking into it. Since your account includes personal information like your name and perhaps bank account the law should apply. One guild mate was banned because he did send gold from one of his accounts to another of his accounts. He stated the law and was unbanned very fast. Know your rights."
Best of luck to you, you seem to be the latest victim of Blizzard automating their game in order to not pay staff, regardless of the consequences.
Thanks for sharing that insight, brother. It's definitely something worth considering, especially with the GDPR regulations in place. I'll keep that in mind and see if it helps in my situation. It's frustrating to feel like just another victim of Blizzard's automated system.

I was better, created a new ID after that bought 1 month of sub and then canceled it so that the next month I didn't pay for the sub, in just 5 minutes I got banned for botting reasons, I was only lvl 3 and set the keybind and bump they banned me for the reason which I didn't do, what a fool it's been about 6 months I haven't played wow, I created a new ID because previously I forgot my old battlenet email and password.
This same crap is playing out with so many people. My buddy who plays 100% legit, has never done anything wrong got a 2week ban three days before phase 2 sod started for an undisclosed reason. He appealed every single day, and got nothing but the run around. Blizzard is an absolutely crap company. Their customer service is even worse. I hope one day it will all go under and something better will emerge. The devs are so disconnected from reality that they cannot even come close to understanding their player base. Honestly it feels like there are no real gamers left at Blizzard. Just people sitting in a board room figuring out how to squeeze more money out of us. Sorry for your situation man, hope you get some news soon.
Man, that's rough. It's heartbreaking to hear about legit players like me and your buddy getting caught up in this mess and getting the runaround from customer service. Blizzard's lost touch with what made them great, and it's like they're more focused on profits than their players. Hang in there, mate. Hopefully, things change for the better soon :(

I don't want to quit. I go gym 3-4 times a week and here's my lifts:
Incline Bench: 100kg
Flat bench: 105kg
Deadlift: 140kg
Legpress: 320kg
Squat: 140kg
Arms: I dont care whatever there is hahaha.
You should also go directly to the wow forum and sound off there for your issue, Blizzard always will take PR issues seriously especially you are a RUclipsr doing wow content
Did you try reaching out to them on twitter? As a content creator you might get a response there.
I tried this but sadly they said they can't do anything from Twitter.
Hey Theo, after reading the comments @thenjry raises a good point they will always take more validity in legality over respect, our of curiousity im not sure how youtube TOS works but with them using your content for advertisement, 1 do they have to have your permission and if they dont a good way to atleast get in contact with them as a last case senario is bring up the fact they are using your videos as promotion for their game and making money off it . may be something to look into to atleast get something other then N automated response

Blizzard does not value you or anyone else. This is simply reality. They are happy to use your content to promote their products/services, but that's it. They also have a long history of arbitrarily banning people with no regard to this TOS. It's time to find a better game to play.
Yes this may be the case it's hard to tell because they do things so randomly nowadays. Sodapoppin got caught buying gold in wow yet didn't get banned just the gold removed. Shocks me tbh, then there's me who literally just played the game and I get banned haha.

While the people that are left at Blizzard, as Microsoft slashes their workforce, might not be interested in listening...perhaps you could get Microsoft's attention. WoW has been losing money/subscribers for a long time. Anyone that could make that go the other way Microsoft might be interested in helping. Just a thought. Reach out to their PR people, and who knows?

This may be the case. If they are they should remove the option to freeze experience and they should communicate this to the players🙏 who knows? Difficult to say. Good thinking though!

Blizzard is sh*t in communication these day's. In the EU they only help with basic computer answords and there seems to be a banned or insain dirty word that called SUPPORT. Allot of players asking blizzard for a year to fix the're support for amd gpu's because they have alot of problems with dx12 and are scalled down to dx11. beside 1 automatic response on US and EU forum they do nothing. It feels like you almost need to fight against blizzard to maybe get help. Succes and hopefully you get the account back.

In BFa i got the big boy on Kazzak by selling ench in last 6 months of exp,, holding all the AH... Big Balls lol was awsome even cooperate with some dudes. But this u saying. Am sittin in Undercity withi my 3 Vilpera sellers seeing dks 10 lvls doing some shit like am a robot playing, reporting them last 3 months and seeing them again next month...
So don"t be sad bcs this ch is ok. Problem is bigger. Banned all the asholes that ruined the game all these years, and we all know who they are...Before retail ai played on some of the best EU private servers, was very best Pvp player, and now am alone and i like it like that. 40 year old dude here, playing since Wotlk. Having played this game for 20 years... this dude was 100% botting. He fits the profile and he makes the exact same excuses that every banned bot account has made for 20 years.

Hey, I didn't make any excuses because I need no excuses. I simply gave clarity on the matter, I have done nothing wrong so far. I love this game and I don't see the need to break TOS.
