Really sad that there was apparently only one person in the entire company who gives a shit about Power Rangers and he died. The fact that people working on the toyline intentionally sabotaged them to make the franchise worse is very disheartening.
They put the wrong people for the wrong reasons in charge are vital aspects. That can never go well. DEI is undefeated
@@JSmoothSoulOh for god's sake, no! The problem with Power Rangers under Hasbro wasn't and has never been DEI. The problem was the over-reliance of nostalgia with MMPR, lack of good toys, bad writing and bad character development. DEI has nothing to do with it.
Correction, its not superhero fatigue, its just bad writing
In my opinion it’s not superhero fatigue it’s more mcu fatigue cause of how the releases got more frequent as the franchise went on and since the release of endgame the releases have been pretty much terrible and endgame was a mess of a movie itself
been that way since NZ
@@kevin10001You're completely delusional. Endgame was not a mess.
I honestly dont know who else would pick up the show. Who else has the money to dump into power rangers? Netflix saw that there was gonna be 0 return or incentive and that's literally how every owner of power rangers tends to feel after a while.
I think Universal should get the rights to the PR movie and TV show side of things. In terms of the toys and games, I don’t know who yet. But I know a lot of people, myself included, want another big budget, theatrical Power Rangers movie. Universal can definitely be that studio that gives this franchise the love it deserves. Plus, it gives Universal thier own superhero IP, Disney has Marvel, Warner Bros has DC. Universal’s action movies, particularly Fast & Furious, fit EXACTLY that cheesy tone that PR is known for. Now since it’s a movie that will probably try to take itself more seriously, but still have that cheese the franchise is known for, here’s a director I think will go great with our favorite teenagers with attitude: the one and only JAMES F#&G GUNN
My reasons:
1. He’s worked on ensemble superhero films before
2. He has that perfect balance of comedy and silliness AND drama and heart, (although I don’t expect it to be a soap opera, it is still POWER RANGERS after all, not exactly an award winning franchise.)
3. He’s great at directing action, look up the GOTG 3 hallway fight for a great example of what I’m talking about
@@nicholasdeporto5257 agreed, I think Gunn would make a sick power rangers movie if given the creative freedom and money. That's all power rangers needs rn, freedom and a shit of money
This is why adapting another Sentai would have done Hasbro some good because they could still be working on a reboot and shopping it around yet also have the brand still on shelves.
You're implying that Hasbruh has a lick of common sense, which they don't. That's how they've been able to kill an iconic and generation bridging franchise like this. They are absolute MORONS and anything they actually do right is by pure accident.
rebooting it was to big
Power rangers is just not having great news lately. It's a big enough franchise you would think this wouldn't be such an issue to make money.
I was hoping for some after Cosmic Fury last year
Except it's really not man, yeah it's big for fans but kids, the target audience, are not watching PR out of their own curiosity and parents aren't buying the toys because of how expensive they are. So where would they get the money??
It’s not a big franchise.
This is what Hasbruh does: Buy up iconic IP, milk it dry for all the cheaply made and overpriced nostalgia bait they can, put on their surprised Pikachu faces when people stop buying the cheaply made and overpriced nostalgia bait and then dump its mangled corpse on the side of the road.
@@Xenosthewatcher that's literally what every owner of power rangers has done.
Glad the reboot is dead. No mighty morphin version please. Just get back the adaptions.
Wasn't the reboot concept not going to be mmpr? But yes, I'd totally be down going back to adaptations
@@RaphaelMYT Tommy was in it but the rest all new
I agree, bring back the Sentai Adaptions for the future of Power Rangers! Raquel Fuentes even told me that Hasbro accepted her email about it and agree to do it for crying out loud. Sure hope they purify their partner ship with Toei and get Playmates to join them on it. Please brings more Sentai Adapted seasons for the near future?
@@Garfiled1990 yes this whole reboot thing to ambitious
Oh, thank god. Honestly, it sounded terrible.
It sounded like they were ripping the soul out of it, to make it like every other Netflix show, which barely lasts half a decade.
Seeing as there's a shared history - why not Marvel? What if Marvel took it on and embraced what it is, while grounding it in some sort of believable reality.
If marvel got it that would mean it would be back under Disney
@@sketchywaifus True but Disney always wanted to dissociate because of the whiny mothers and because they didn't want to have to pay Toei and cave to Bandai's demands (to be fair, it has been reported that Bandai were very dictatorial). Also, you forget that Disney might own Marvel but it's still its own individual company and things run differently.
Under Marvel, the violence complaints won't be an issue. Hasbro would retain any merch licenses, as they already have Power Rangers AND Marvel. Yeah, they'd still have to pay money to Toei but under Marvel, I have no doubt Power Rangers would get the respect it deserves and more attention, even just from Marvel getting them.
Also, Stan Lee always wanted to be the one to adapt Super Sentai and he did help shape the format of what Super Sentai became, due to Supaidaman.
@Craigy2818 I'm not sure, marvel has really been going downhill lately and super hero media in general is just dying down..
Hasbro: Ends adaptations "Don't worry, reboot is coming!"
Also Hasbro: Cancels reboot
Can someone else just buy this brand? Seriously. Saban, take it back just to keep it alive.
Or just go back to adaptations. Those should be relatively cheaper to produce.
To be fair saban wasn't doing no better
@@TheBurningNovaze So true and disney sure as heck not wanting power rangers, which is good because of the state disneys in
Adaptations of Sentai and reboots are how they killed the franchise.
They need to get into animation and give us a series or series of movies based on the Boom! Studios comics if they want to grow the franchise for once.
Bro,saban, Disney, Hasbro, it's doesn't matter who owns the brand. It's a tough sell regardless of who owns it, this would've happened regardless. PR is expensive to make, who is gonna shell out the money to produce it??
Besides Haim saban is dealing with his own legal troubles right now
🤣 he would not save the brand.
If voltron can somehow make a successful return, PR will come back in some form eventually.
If they’re not doing anything with Power Rangers then Hasbro should just give Shout the green light to proceed with releasing Super Sentai. There’s probably money to be made doing that.
hasbro doesn't own super sentai, never have and never will
@@terrysyvertson9205 I heard somewhere that apparently they’re keeping Shout Factory from releasing any more (though I may need to fact check this). They probably own SOMETHING to do this.
Agreed. More Super Sentai releases because fans definitely want that.
As much as I want that to happen, the money just isn't there. When the brand left saban, the licensing agreement between Toei also ended. Now, hasbro did try to make an agreement with Toei but of course, things fell through. My guess is that Hasbro saw how much Saban was paying Toei to license Sentai through shout factory and 100% could not or most likely did not want to pay that amount. And so we got stuck with years of no word of DVDs. I wish I could own every season of Sentai on DVD but it's looking like no one wants to put out the money to make that happen.
@@megadong2398or let the Liscence Rot, while Shout is playing the long game.
I am still in the camp that Hasbro should have stay adapting Sentai for more years until they learned what should and shouldn’t do if they want to make their own thing. Now…Nah, let the brand have a “Kamen Rider Death”.
not sure who's idea it was to stop, they tried to do something big too soon
Hasbro should be hands off with the power rangers brand until they rebound financially and get it together. Before releasing any projects. I don't what TV network would accept power rangers as part of their line up. People should understand that no company is perfect.
Every time i look at this franchise from an outsider perspective i wonder how it even lasted this long. So many times it has "died" or almost died, it's amazing it's even still alive. How many franchises have survived like that.
I just got my own article out covering this! I ended up aligning it with how Netflix’s relationship with He-Man turned out
I rather it be cancelled than have another MMPR. I grew up with MMPR, but I hate how much MMPR project and toys. There are so many rangers team, why keep going back to MMPR?
Because it the only season most people recognize.
Sadly it’s cuz everyone outside the pr fandom don’t know that other seasons exist especially great ones
Because MMPR and the Zordon Era had a total of 5 seasons combined (3 MMPR up until In Space). I hate to break it to you but all the rest just had 1 season.
I don’t even count the god awful “Super” second seasons during Nickelodeon’s run which is just the full Sentai seasons just split into 2 years which never made sense to me.
To put it simply 3 seasons is a long time to be familiar with 1 set of rangers everyone can identify with which is why MMPR is the sought after team plus it’s the one that started it all for Western audiences.
@@gerardpinckney9673 i think this is a real problem in pr, they're too attached using the "familiarty" concept in pop culture, just overusing mmpr because it's the first and the start of the franchise when they can done so much more than that.
Jakq fell flat after the first succesfull sentai goranger, yet toei didn't go back to "pick up" goranger instead keep going with the new sentai, new team, new concept, new people etc. For every year and has been till now. It less problematic for toei to running their franchise because They have the balls to keep moving forward compared to pr who is too hesitant and take much consideration and relying on past materials.

Feels like Hasbro never gave it the chance to be a priority. Really, Hollywood in general just doesn’t see this franchise able to go anywhere. Such a shame.
The previous CE gave it a chance, but then he died, and his successor didn't have the same interest in it.
@@malcomalexander9437 it’s so unfortunate all around. Maybe it could’ve had a greater impact already.
Their hands were pretty tied by the Sentai usage contracts.
@@Spenceley that probably checks out honestly. I think the creative team the last few years did an outstanding job given the hurdles they had to constantly deal with! I genuinely loved the 5 Hasbro seasons we got.
the only one who did died and no one else had a clue
It sucks that companies will just juggle a 30+ year franchise like it's a hot potato...
The thing I really don't like is there isn't even a home for all the shows anymore. Netflix used to have EVERY season, but now just MMPR and a couple recent ones. I want a streaming home for the franchise again, to at least allow for some views and potential growth. All the seasons, the 3 movies, the special, etc. I want more in the future, but for now, we seriously just need a place to go to watch what already exists.
Aren't most of the full seasons on RUclips? I know that's where I've been re-watching through MMPR recently, and I saw playlists for other seasons up through at least Megaforce on the same channel.
Every season is on RUclips for free.
They also have every season on Pluto here in the US. And it's an entirely free steaming service and they even have a channel for it as well(Forever Kids). It's not that it isn't out there. It's just not as relevant anymore, it's more of a legacy brand now.
And on TUBI they have Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman.
@@Atlanticocean.chihuahua Tubi don't neet Power Rangers, when they Already got the Real Thing(Sentai).
@@FnrrfYgmSchnish yes all some still on netflix
It should go on hiatus for at least a decade. I mean I would suggest maybe Max to adapt the comic universe into a animated show, but even Max/WBD are fumbling with their content. What needs to happen is these "Entertainment" corporations need to either demote or fire their current CEOs. Majority are profit driven and it's negatively impacting the current movies and shows. They need people who can balance the business and the entertainment sides of these projects.
I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this...
I think it's fair to say we told you so. The best move now to bring back adaptation series for a few years then alongside it a reboot movie that way all fans are happy.
Also to note just cause a series is adapting a sentai doesn't mean it can't do new stuff aswell, look at In Space, Dino Thunder and RPM fan favourites that very different from the sentai but can still say they adapt it well
I doubt theres even money or incentive to go back to adapting. It's way too expensive and no one is willing to dump the money for it.
@@megadong2398 It's literally the cheapest way they can make the series, if they too cheap to do that then they'll never make another series again.
@@vortexalliance9938definitely not the cheapest way, that would be animation (still very costly) it takes a shit ton of money to produce a PR series, it has never been cheap to produce. Do they spend less money than Toei producing Sentai? Yes. But it's still way more money to invest than what you're gonna get back in return.
@@megadong2398I would think animation cost more, well good ones like invincible quality would cost more. Only bad cheap ones would cost less.
But we don't want animation to be the main series anyway
But
@@vortexalliance9938 invincible animation would probably be around the same cost as a PR series, maybe less. PR has to pay the actors, pay for their housing, pay for film crew, pay for the editors, pay for location, pay for permits, pay for costume design, pay for suits directly from toei, pay for pyrotechnics and most of all you have to pay the japanese stunt crew (they actually get paid the most out of anyone that works in PR) all of that for close to a year or less depending on circumstances. It is not cheap to produce power rangers.
I'm also surprised by this news. I personally think that Power Rangers should take a few years or even maybe an 10-year hiatus like at this point.
I do feel that Power Rangers is having like an uphill battle on how the general public view according to what DOSM said and I personally agree with his statement.
This video is very well-said.
Thank God.
I believe in the saying, “I can’t miss you if you don’t go away.” Power Rangers major media needs to take a multi-year break. Let the dust settle and see where everything stands in three to five years.
ATLEAST THEY CAN GO BACK TO SENTAI ADAPTATIONS NOW!
As long any Sentai show that is adaptable.
SIGH..... If only TV execs took Power Rangers & kids shows more seriously sooner.....then maybe we wouldn't be in the ruts we're in now.
They did in the 2000s. It was Saban that fcked it up when they made Samurai and megaforce with All eyes on them.. then made a action starved movies along with the worst 2 seasons in history.
I really think they should have kept the NZ team and main show going after Cosmic Fury while they figured out the reboot stuff. Or even let both go on at the same time for different audiences.
Thank you DosmRider for being leveled headed with this story!!! I agree with you 💯!!! I don't think Hasbro spent money to acquire the power rangers franchise just to let it die. All the points you made are vaild and that's what we as fans sometimes forget. For example when movies fail at the box office there are always a number of reasons why that happens. It's never one single reason and that's the same thing here with power rangers. There were a series of unfortunate events that have resulted in this decision. As a power rangers fan I think they should take a break. Years ago I probably would have have said just keep it going but it's clear time is needed to get power rangers back to it's glory days. I have hope someday that the power rangers will return.
I hope they find the right people, even if they have to animated
Nothing wrong with animation.
For now, we should let Power Rangers rest in peace until something appears that’s worth talking about again.
Or they can start working on getting out an animated adaptation of the Boom! Studios comics and grow the franchise the same way DC and Marvel did in the 90s/2000s
Or they should just do what pr used and is supposed to be, an American adaptation of the Japanese seasons of sentai.
@@checob224 cool, who's gonna pay for it?
I do think it's earned some time to breathe.
@@megadong2398 people who own pr?.
This is great news because the last thing PR needs is another lack luster reboot. They do it every season and its only made the franchise less popular over the years.
They need to do some animated adaptations of the Boom! Studios comics and create a new generation of younger fans for once. Eventually, they can do a live action adaptation of those stories and that's when PR will have a chance of reaching a fraction of the popularity they used to have in MMPR or the popularity of the MCU/DCU. Another live action reboot or a Sentai adaptation would be business malpractice.
I like the idea of doing something animated
Power Rangers Academy could work with an animated adaptation 👀
@@manuelorozco7760 No
@@Tasty_Tango45 Power Rangers Academy is just one giant, corny, cliché. Their suits are more or less Goseiger but with some slight alterations. I doubt there'd be an animated series since Netflix doesn't want anything to do with the brand outside of past seasons. The Sentai adaptations were the bread and butter for Power Rangers and without it doesn't particularly fare well on its own.
Oh my god , I am so shocked 😂
Guess I’ll just watch the Japanese Sentai if there’s no more PR.
The best way to rebrand the series is as a bad ass, fun anime
I think it is a great idea, but at this point, not a good idea. Wait like maybe 10-years or few years, then rebrand Power Rangers as a whole.
Maybe not an anime but a western cartoon. That could really work out.
@@micjimster4845i only think an anime would work, there’s too many poorly done Western shows, good anime is soon as cool, it’s a different vibe
The idea is to focus on Gen A and B, introduce them to the brand in this format so that’s what they know as Power Rangers. The original show becomes like the original Star Trek - something that is loveable and camp but not reflective of what the series wants to be. Once it has a strong animated reputation, you can think about adapting into live-action later like One Piece.
@@micjimster4845Why not meet in the middle and have a co-production between America and Japan?
The biggest upset for me about this is that we found out from Tokujay that he was actually contracted to work on the reboot. And if you’ve seen his work on Twitter we could have had amazing ranger suits that are still modern but simple.
I’m not surprised but it still sucks that we won’t be getting any new PR for the foreseeable future.
Personally, I am convinced that an animated series would be the optimal solution.
Let's be honest, folks - after 30 seasons and 3 movies, it becomes really difficult to keep the essence and success of the series. It's time for a change.
Wow, I never truly expected this, but weirdly we didn’t get enough news on the reboot as of late so it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Netflix new head and their executives didn't see this IP doing well in their algorithm, sadly. 😢
Hasbro effectively killed PR faster than Saban and Disney. They disrespected the tv show, toys and brand way more than prior owners. Where are the apologists now?
The apologists will blame the fans just like Simon did. They'll never get it.
They had the perfect setup to make power rangers popular but they failed at every turn. Saban at least made a samurai popular and kinda Dino Charge
they might let the Rights Expire, & Revert it back to Toei.
I'd love that. Let Toei handle the international branding. They won't make woke and gay

I'm glad that the Netflix PR series is canceled. I don't trust Hasbro.
If they're doing another streaming platform, ik some people would suggest Paramount+, but it hasn't been that well-received compared to other streaming platforms. Not to mention that Transformers Earthspark did poorly on there, too. I guess regular RUclips premieres would work even if it's to test the waters?
I'm ok with this.
So Josh did recently tweet that the leak he got last July about the PR going on hiatus that he got further information that “Brian Goldner’s purchase of the brand & eOne apparently was done without consulting R&D. The company never wanted Power Rangers.”
So yeah that alone pretty much confirms Hasbro never wanted Power Rangers. Does that mean they won’t still work on it? No but it does confirm what a lot of fans say that Hasbro upper management never cared about the brand. They only worked on it because their president at the time bought it without telling them. And since he died they have no reason in themselves to invest in it. Which is why they’re just outsourcing it.
Josh who tho and where can I follow him?
I do not believe this! Oh man
@@manuelorozco7760 it's true, jinsaku's post clarified it as well as how the Netflix deal fell through.
I have my own opinion
If you don't know the contract between TOEI and Any PR Owner, make the PR owner the only one capable of distributing Sentai here in the West.
Honestly these is way cheaper than having to adapt any season or make an animation.
Let's face it, guys. Nobody wanted a reboot to begin with. In fact, Hasbro should not have messed with tradition in the first place and kept adapting Sentai series.
Dosom not trying to be a dick but please tell me how long you have to wait to forget a show that has 30 years of history? You said at the beginning that you try to think about his from an unbiased approach but like 60% of it is not approached that way.
We won't forget lol
I'd rather them just sell the IP at this point but they make money off of licensing it out so it won't happen.
I am actually interested in seeing an animated power ranger series. Maybe they could adapt elements from the Boom! Studio comics. Its surprisingly odd that super sentai and power rangers haven't delved into animation. I feel like the IP is big enough they could find some success in it. Plus, the flexibility animation provides would benefit the series.
The thumbnail gives me the idea for a zombie series.
The original MMPR was infected with a plage so powerful that it was forbidden to use by the ancient evil Masters. Zedd uses it, thinking he can control it.
However, he can control the virus doesn't just infect the team, but the world as well.
The zombie Rangers have access to their martial arts and weapons, along with a baseline intelligent.
Zordon has no choice but to form a secondary team using new dinosaurs to retrieve the power coins of the zombie rangers.
Bulk and Skull were chosen (getting their comic suits and zords)
A leader based off the Green Ranger was chosen, given the Grey suit and gold armour, given the mighty Spinosaurus, alonf with brontosaurus and stegosaurus Rangers.
Their task track down the original team and take back their coins to stop a potential grid contamination.
Power Rangers 1993-2023 The party is over. Only way they could save this show is maybe go complete animation.
Wouldn't argue if they just go back to adaptations.
I think this should be a good sign so that the Dairangers and Kyurangers can get proper Power Rangers season adaptation along with the Super Sentai shows that got skipped from being adapted as Power Rangers seasons before Ryusoulger: ToQger, Zyuohger and Lupinranger VS Patranger.
not sure who would take over after netflix

I’m not going to lie, I was really looking forward to some original PR content that was gonna be a PG13 format. I don’t think their plan for it sounded very good in my opinion, but I was still looking forward to something new. I guess it’s back to rewatching the Disney era.
I was looking forward as well. I obviously was too anxious I got myself a Blue Ranger and Green Ranger T shirt two separate Christmases
Really great thoughts on the matter. Looking forward to the next stage, hopefully whatever eventually is coming down the road is amazing!!
Honestly it really seemed like Hasbro was banking on the reboot to Kickstart the brand again. I feel like they are likely just gonna take the reboot and give it to a different distributor.
The thing is, if they go straight to streaming it will likely die or not work. Or be like Once and Always, non hard core fans watch and forget about it.
I feel like the best thing to do is give us a small MMPR animated series (Maybe something like the GO GO run, just something that takes ideas from the original but isn't just the live action show animated) to be like Invincible or Voltron. If it doesn't take off it's just a one of and we can start again. If it's actually well written and not 90s cheese, maybe people will watch and maybe want more.
Once we have an animated series that actually does well, then we can slowly start a live action product. We don't want PR to be the next DCEU.

That means no Reunion Specials! with the other past Power Rangers Seasons
No, they aren't planning for reunions, cuz deep down they hated coming back as much as they hated working in PR.
I want more reunion specials
I called this from the start but got hounded by people saying there was definitely a reboot. Every bit of Hasbro’s actions suggested they weren’t actually doing one.
Yeah, I guess they took off the worst of the chains, but at best they only had Dino Fury and Cosmic Fury-but maybe just Cosmic Fury at worst. Since Cosmic Fury was only 10 episodes, it would only make sense to ditch what held them back the most and not change the tone much otherwise
I’m kinda glad that this version of the show didn’t come to fruition. I feel like the direction that the show was rumored to go would’ve only set it up for failure.
like I said before, they should have just continued with the adaptations instead of ending it after cosmic fury.
Hasbro keep wanting PR to be the MCU.
Maybe Discovery Family would air Power Rangers shows, including Cosmic Fury.
I think they should let it lie and come back with some specials before doing a "reboot"
I mean, they left so much open. They should just go back to the same time line but it set out in space on a earth like planet. Do it as a reboot kind of thing, keeping it contained but also give it a little cross over. Like King Ohger did. It was be so easy to do SPA, Terra venture, aquartar. Saying any of them visited this planet or did something that ticked the main villian off would be easy plot. I get that the American audience probably doesn't like the style of comedy/ serious balance super sentai. But i think it would still work for both new and old fans.
MMPH! Dang it dude. We're not getting Power Rangers' all this year and now we might have to wait longer. I'm a bit bitter about that.
If someone big could hop on to produce an MMPR Reboot film the same way Seth Rogen did I think it'd have better legs to stand on
I loved Mutant Mayhem last summer. And I completely agree
They need sort it out with power rangers and also kamen rider as well they need adaptation for Kamen Rider in US
I hope that the power rangers reboot finds a new home
If there’s one company that Hasbro can shop the potential reboot, my top choice would have to be Amazon Prime Video since they have done great with smaller superhero franchises like The Boys and Invincible.
I could see that happening if they animated PR
Maybe now, Paramount and Viacom can fix the franchise and make more shows. I mean, it's logical.
Paramount was at some point going to distribute a new reboot movie. So that makes sense
Someone call Dreamworks. Let the Voltron team have at it.
God no. The last thing we need is for them to fuck up another team of teens piloting a super robot. The show is hated by both new and old fans for how badly they screwed things up in the later seasons.

This is unfortunate, but we have seen many other brands make a comeback after taking a break. My only hope is that the comics continues. Its been the only PR content that I truly enjoy as an adult fan.

Preorders sold out immediately and they went into the Christmas Holiday Season as a Toy Company that was sleeping on making more of a toy that was highly in demand and yet they didn’t stock them at Walmart, Target, Amazon, GameStop, etc. it was Hasbro Pulse exclusive and they never restocked it even during their Anniversary.
-Never made a Green Ranger Lightning Collection Helmet, the last of the Mighty Morphin weapons, helmets, and Morphers. Could’ve done the Death Ranger to pair with the Omega Ranger set they did or Tommy’s Green Ranger V2 or Matt’s Green Ranger but nah. They sat on multiple things that would sell and slept on em.
-Killed off the show, killed off the selfie series, killed off the Lightning Collection, killed off the reboot, killed off the physical media, killed off any current comic deals. Pretty much dismantled Power Rangers piece by piece. If they have no real interest in the brand I wish they’d sell it.
Same goes for Ghostbusters. No Plasma Series toys for Frozen Empire? New movie no Garraka main new villain toys? Nothing really for the 40th Anniversary. No selfie series, plasma series, 40th merch, nothing for Ghostbusters day, no new Ultimate Edition Movie Combo box, and hardly did anything for Frozen Empire. There’s a new cartoon in the works that still hasn’t been given a trailer or leak or anything. When a toy company doesn’t want to make toys for its properties maybe it’s time to give them to someone who will.
I’m here!!
So this is basically the KOTOR Remake of PR?
Damn dude u went on rant kinda and went off topic in a way wow
There is a reason these videos are called rambles.
I KNOW they must try an animated Drakkon Story in the vibe of INvincible and a kid cartoon , that would help them ALOT
Ok, don't be afraid, this is a level headed comment. Personally & ideally I hope Hasbro finds a new partner soon & once found, they should go back to adapt sentai seasons, at least all the way up to Zenkaiger &/or until they get a new script & green light a new PR movie/series. As far as I'm concerned PR is NOT dead! Case in point, the comics the games etc. I would have more to say but it might end up as a rant. So I hope this was a pleasant comment to read.
If anything they find a new studio to take of it and are completely hands off with the production. Especially since they didn't want this IP in the first place. We got the best seasons from that during the Disney era. Just let a new studio and Playmates handle things.
@@FireFury190 That could work. & if Hasbro does get involved, get people that are interested as Bryan Goldman was. But either way Playmates taking on the toy distribution sounds good. & going auto pilot like Disney did for their series would be best. Here is hoping things get better for the PR franchise.
So the power rangers reboot is cancelled so what's going to happen next
I think it’s for the best that they canceled the Netflix reboot.
EXACTLY! It Probably would have been Too Woke!
Just do a SPD special. We are around the time where it's supose to take place. They already did a teasing of SPA in Once and Always and that'd be a good way to keep the franchise alive and going. I'm not saying that they have to do it right now, like, take your time to make it right, but I believe that it would be wasted opportunity to not do it before a reboot.
Future is anime
Perhaps for the best
Now im off to not tell the difference between optimistic and stupidity
For me i liked all pr shows whether people agree or not but pr dino fury and cosmic fury brought new ideas with small flaws hasbro needs to end their crisis and do pr slowly and smartly like pr beast morpher and wheather it is a original or adaption make it a hit please
Love the Buffy reference.
What a lovely thumbnail
I'm glad this proposed reboot is dead, at least for the time being. Taking aside that it gained no real traction following its announcement, I lost interest when Jonathan Entwistle announced - via a Facebook "Story" post - that Tommy was "at the center of all that is to come".
Whatever form this project takes, should it ever end up actually being made and released to the public, I hope that the production crew remembers that the Power Rangers are a team first and foremost.
I think it's actually a good thing they're looking for a different partner company. Considering how predatorial Netflix has been with its practices lately, cancelling beloved shows with decent audiences just for not becoming an instant hit. They'd do that to PR in a heartbeat
I mean they could keep the the show going as it is now with sentai adaptations or just something with MMPR and yeah that would be the safe option and it could likely just chug along like that heck that's what Saban was doing which makes it more ironic people complaining about Hasbro and yet back Saban and bandai had the franchise people complained about how they handled it. And as for Disney they made it very clear they dadn't give a crap about PR by the end heck the last idea they had was redo some Mighty Morphin with dumb comic effects yet people seem to forget that plus with how Disney is these days I hope they stay far away from power rangers. But on a less ranty note the best thing I could see it is do an animated series of ether the comics or something based on Might Morphin since as much as fans we may not like to admit it MMPR is just what most people think of when they think of Power Rangers. Sentai adaptations could also work though again that would just be the show coasting along and not getting any bigger as weather we like it or not PR as it is now is a very niche show. I'm possive Hasbro does want the franchise the grow (Otherwise why would they by it and they are a company so they need to make money somehow) but they are still trying to figure out how to get there, Honestly an animated series of ether the comics or something based on Might Morphin along side the Playmates toys is likely going to be the best way forward atleast for the time being that's my two cents anyway,
Notification Squad! I can’t believe Netflix would do this after Once & Always and Cosmic Furt last year. But just find a promising new partner before I lose my patience
It's probably because the reboot sounded horrible and not due to the performance of Cosmic Fury or Once and Always
@@BaithNa Maybe they wanted to make it too mature for everyone’s liking
My guess is that Netflix gave them a shit ton of money to produce once & always & cosmic fury. But that was it. If you want Netflix to keep investing, to keep dumping in money with no expectation, you have to be pushing sales, you have to be relevant, you have to be talked about and engaged with your audience. When cosmic fury was dropped, the very next week, no one was talking about it. Why would Netflix keep investing if there's nothing there?
@@megadong2398 Oh boy
Now what?
Holy shit why
This is for the best.
Thanks for buying power rangers hasbro. good job. I hope we can get a complete series dvd set of power rangers.
Hasbro really have killed off power rangers.
just like how Jagged was killed one episode in to Zyuohger lol
The reason they probably don’t have a very lot of money is because they’re making crappy morphers
