Anybody with a functioning brain knew Hasbro didn't give a squat about Power Rangers. This franchise had 3 decades of different ownership. Fans could spot trouble by now. Hasbro by far was the worst. The toys were overpriced and atrocious. Hasbro were ripping people off. The show itself had poor writing and no effort. The apologists and pro-Hasbro crowd are slient now. Again very predictable behavior.

Both Doctor Who in(1988) and Star Trek(2001 with Enterprise) both franchises took a massive hit of either a hiatus and practically cancellation. In these types of things, you need to have a CEO that is an enjoyer of pretty much everything or at the least have an understanding of what the people want instead of having a CEO that is dead set on wanting something gone, same thing with David Zaslav. Owner of Warner Bros Discovery, bro has shown his hatred towards Warner Bros in a way that has gone from wanting to save it from Debt... to making it have more DEBT and shelving projects that are completely made to never see the light of day all in the name of Tax Refund. It's that kind of cycle where I understand why people think Power Rangers is dead.

The biggest problem is the fact that “5-7 year olds” are the “target demographic”. Let’s face it: it’s not the 1990’s anymore: kids are way less innocent than they used to be, media as a whole is far less wholesome and/or pure, and access to media is more widespread than ever before. By this, I mean to say that if “Power Rangers” is going to survive, it needs to do what “The Boys” did for the wider superhero genre: go “Hard-R” with some seriously talented writers, actors, and showrunners - and then market and merchandise the hell out of the show! If the new owners of the franchise do that, I think the brand could be fixed.
On a related note, the reputation of “Power Rangers” needs to be repaired so that adult fans can actually be taken seriously, and let’s be honest - we need more adult female fans in the community.

The problem is why were they targetting PR to a 5-7 year old crowd? With it's action premise, you'd think cartoon violence is like a 9-12 range kind of thing. Their target age now makes it clear maybe why recent seasons dialogue had been like they're handholding you. Disney also didn't care but it felt like the writing was catered to the DCOS family somewhat. Power Rangers should never be put in the Nick Jr.'s demo unless they have a spin-off to cater to that IMO.

It was never being crazy or whatever, this is my childhood man, and I know the history of Hasbro, current day Hollywood not caring about anything etc etc. What everyone said about Simon Bennet not caring, crapping on Sentai and PR, Hasbro having nothing but flops for entertainment, Hasbro cancelling lines without saying a word, dropping Sentai to go and make their own ''modern audience'' show that's not meant for anyone other than weirdos, because the modern audience doesn't exist. Its just the fans who love PR since the beginning and the new fans that they made along the way who wasn't here from the beginning. This is why Disney is failing, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Netflix shows like The Witcher, Hollywood movies in general etc etc. Obviously theirs some people in the fandoms of franchises that act , do and say weird stuff but theirs people who are passionate about said franchises and want it to continue to be a success, grow and keep on going. Current Hollywood and entertainment in general ? they're going out their way to kill franchises , to insert their own crap into our franchises and let it burn for an audience that doesn't exist. At this point, I started watching Sentai now cause we lost out on too many seasons cause LOL AMERICA , LOL AND ITS SOFT CONTROVERSIAL CRAP. Japan does everything right, Sentais my go to. See I have to disagree about Disney. Disney didn't care early on, it felt like they didn't know what to do with the series. That's why Ninja Storm's quality isn't up to par with Dino Thunder and SPD. With Dino Thunder and SPD I felt like they went all in on those seasons. It's like they finally got a director and writers that cared about the series and then that flowed into the rest of the show with the actors and filming. Then Mystic Force and OverDrive it just seems like they went back to not knowing what to do or how to promote those shows. I remember Mystic Force being promoted everywhere. I remember the mini movie/episode even was getting promo-ed in movie theaters.
The problem was Disney was going all in on the tv show and forgot about the toy sector. They wasn't promoting the toys. They wasn't recouping all the money being spent on PR. They forgot that the main sell to Power Rangers was the toys.
It's like the 4 companies to own the brand just never seem to get everything all in order. The show hasn't been handled right since Time Force. Saban had the formula down to a T.

He's trying to be a realist in the situation but doesn't get that even the realist PR fans aren't taking Hasbro's shit. He's giving Hasbro too much benefit of the doubt and trying to look at it through there eyes like he's a business man. And has constant problems lumping in fans that have genuine problems with Hasbro with the more toxic ones because fans constantly complain in every fandom. Yet his complaining about the fans is just as annoying and he really needs to let go of that. It's gonna be a problem with every fandom.

Honestly, this news wasn't too shocking. Because again, alot of the writing was on the wall between Power Rangers not seeming like a big priority for Hasbro compared to their bigger names, and alot of extenuating circumstances that put alot of wrenches in the works. Again, I'm starting to feel you strongly about how tiring fan discourse can get.(AKA one of the many reasons why I'm glad I no longer have a twitter.) Don't get me wrong, I 100% agree that treating a big corperation like your friend, and making parasocial levels of unquestioning brand loyalty the basis of your personality is a dangerous mindset to hold, and it's important to voice your disapointment and know when to vote with your wallets. At the same time, treating every decison a company makes that you don't like on the same level as burning our crops, poisoning our water supply, and delivering a plague onto our houses is just swinging too hard in the opposite direction.(Again, mirroring alot of my feelings about Nintendo discourse in recent years.) The key is balance, It's okay to support a company but to not blindly defend them, at the same time it's okay to be disapointed, but to not let personal expectations cloud your judgement.

MMPRtoys is in the pocket of Hasbro so he'll never go against them. Josh was right for calling him out. I defended Josh in Bruno's comment section and explained how he's been correct about the news and I was blocked for it. Bruno isn't the same guy he was years ago. He talks down to fans more often and does it similar to how Simon did when he was working on the show. Bruno also worships people like Chris Chan, Dylan Mulvaney and Ezra Miller, and he defended Pride Month really hard recently.

I don't want to be boring but haven't Power Rangers already lost its reason for existing? Because the idea of Power Rangers was to bring Tokusatsu from the West, changing things to make it more palatable to the public due to cultural differences and now this public has met the original Tokusatsu from Japan and is much more receptive to these cultural differences, even more so with the popularity of anime in the USA, so wouldn't it be more interesting if there was a greater effort to officially bring Japanese series to the West, just like what happens in the video market today? I know we have many fans and it created its own universe, although perhaps it would be interesting for the franchise to free itself from this concept of adapting oriental series and be its own thing like Robotech or Voltrom, but at the same time I feel that it will become something distant than the Tokusatsu is meant to please a larger audience, it's something that can be discussed because I don't have a defined opinion about it

Girl Time Force is literally what you're describing, a girl leading the team. There's a black woman in the main cast as a ranger. We literally had green hair and pronoun characters. Are you one of those Star Treks/Star Wars fans screaming about how everything is now Woke/DEI because there are women and minorities in a TV show.
Edit: I kinda realized my previous comment had some grammar "mistake".

Seeing the series has ended I'm not sure if it is but I do agree maybe the low prioritzation over other brands (and PR already is sadly a low-tier brand relatively albeit is still popular) may be because they aren't hiring the right people for a boy centric franchise (as much as it has appeal for girls too).

I do get why not everyone in the company needs to be a fan of the brand. But at the same time you should have at least some people who are familiar and passionate about the brand to have a general idea of how to handle it and understand what the customers want. Because if you don't have at least some people on it that know what the IP is about then you're gonna make a ton of terrible decisions with people who don't care about it and it'll cause the brand's value to tank. Aka it'd be like if you put me in charge of G.I. Joe. I don't know shit about that brand so putting me in charge of it is a terrible idea. And if there's no one else on the team that knows the ins and outs of what the brand special to educate me we'd be screwed.
This kind of reminds me a lot of how some Marvel films that have directors that aren't passionate about comics and are only doing it to get that bag so they can actually make the films that they want. Like Thor Love and Thunder is probably the biggest example of it.

Simon Bennett admitted in an interview that he wanted to "show David how much the show has changed" with all the DEI quotas and he continuously lied about it while David still sided with him.
