Your the best RUclips mechanic out there. I like how you just get right to the point and don't waste my time.
Many thanks Benjamin! Now I need for the rest of the world to think like you lol. Feedback like that is greatly appreciate. Dont forget to subscribe incase you havent already.
Great video! Clear and concise without a ton of useless talking like some RUclips vids. Excellent work. Thank you.
D Pham Many thanks for the kind words! Appreciate the feedback. Make sure to subscribe
From the UK AND being a woman ;-) I managed to change my Peugeot Boxer Van (even though a different model) headlamp following your simple steps :-) Thank you from one very happy lady xx
Thats great Julie! Glad to see that the videos are helping people all over the world. Thanks for the feedback. Make sure to subscribe!
No problem being a woman I loves being a woman and being hands on fixing my campervan..... not being sexist but most are men fixing theirs ;-) lol x
Thanks for taking the time to show how to NOT break the plastic clips. Too many other videos just rip off the plastic parts, often breaking the clips.
Yeah I had sure to do that for the exact same reason….I see them broke a lot when they come in for work
thanks man, with zero experience I replaced my headlight assembly in 15 minutes with zero complications.
Didn't mean to ramble on about the poor quality of my ProMaster but your videos are always very helpful thank you
Always happy to help
Thanks a lot for your easy to follow tutorial. I ended up replacing my headlight flawlessly and didnt break any clips. I had some condensation inside the headlamp housing, so i had to silicone weatherstrip the outer seal, hopefully this keeps water out and i wont get another headlamp short circuit. Peace
Awesome. Glad it went smooth and no broken parts. Thanks for letting me know how it went. Dont forget to subscribe.
Good video. My front right headlamp has water inside it. Now I can take the assembly out and figure out where the water is coming in and seal it!
Worked like a charm, saved myself an hour shop time, $140 locally.
Awesome, glad that the video helped and thanks for being a subscriber.
@@MotorCityMechanic I just realized I got the adjustment screw wrong, at the bottom front. How is it supposed to be assembled?
Hey Guy Great Video. I have a 2017 Promaster LWB ... Bigger is great. Just little things like making it difficult to change a headlight bulb. Yes I looked at your video before I did and THANKS. It doesn't need to be that hard. That's just Chryler making extra money by complicating things to the point the "consumer" can't or won't do it Himself. Thanks Again...
Your welcome Gary
Who'd a thunk it could be so involved? Thanks for saving my trim pieces!
You can sneak behind and replace it but you cant see what your doing. Without knowing how the bulb is retaining in the housing....it becomes very difficult. Otherwise the video method is best. So many times I see the trim pieces get broken or come in that way because someone didnt realize how they came off. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe
Good ole Dodge engineers. Thanks for the tutorial.
Wow. That was great. Thank you for your service.
Thanks Israel for taking the time to watch it! Make sure to subscribe and check out my others.
What a great tutorial,bravo!
Thanks Franklin!
Good video man, if you were local? You be my van’s mechanic no doubt 👍
Many thanks Enrique.....appreciate the vote of confidence. Dont forget to subscribe.
Well done, very informative.
Thanks Michael. Appreciate you watching the video. Make sure to subscribe and check out my other videos as well.
Please do a video how to change out the fog light assembly. Someone broke my fog light and was told I have to change the whole assembly not just the bulb. Really appreciate you posting these videos. Also please recommend what light bulb to buy for 2014 promaster 3500 LED lights to buy. I am planning to change out the old yellow bulbs for LED bulbs. Thanks again.
I will certainly keep that in mind as a future video. Thanks for the request and make sure to subscribe.
Thank you that was a very helpful video very disappointed with Chrysler on these promaster's I've had a lot of problems with one engine misfires leaks antifreeze leaks transmission fluid door locks break seems like it is a very cheap built vehicle unlike their trucks in the past where indestructible
Your welcome. Yeah its that whole.....over the seas influence that has some to do with then design and build. Engine related items not so much however.....thats Chrysler all the way there so I cant make excuses for that portion. The work vans have for a long time been like that, especially when it came to the "Sprinter".
If you ever do a fuel filter for the ecodiesel version of these vans I would be VERY greatful.
I haven’t yet but when and if I do I will certainly try to film it. Thanks for the comment and make sure to subscribe
Great video! Any idea how to add/enable Daytime Running Lights (DRL) on a 2022 ProMaster? (ok if they are always on when the switch is on). Thank you! 🙏
great video. thanks. Thanks to u, i did a great job on mine without breaking the snaps. took 20 minutes each side. just wish the bulbs didnt cost 23.00 each lol.
+Tim Fowler Glad to see that it worked out. The snaps are very easy to break off so good job. Thanks for the update!
Awesome video, thanks!
Your welcome and thank you as well!
Did mine today without a problem. Thank you
Awesome......glad it went well and no issues. Thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe!
Very, very similar to our old MB ML320.
Best video ive seen on this. Very poor design! Ive owned 2 sprinters thats a 5 min change no tools required and thats the way it should be considering what these vehicles purpose. But today im standing outside in 18 degree weather. Thanks Dodge!
Thanks Jeremy......sorry about the issue. I fully understand where your coming from as well. Appreciate you watching and make sure to subscribe
That's when it seems like you always have to work on your vehicle, when it's freezing cold or raining outside.
Need a monthly subscription for bulbs if you own a promaster
@@jeremyallen3448 they fixed the issue that was causing these failures in the 2018 model year. Voltage surges supposedly. Lots of '18s and '19s now with no issues
@@robertjay0515 is this voltage surge something that can be modified in older models?
Excelente, explicacion concisa y clara.
muchas gracias por el comentario y por mirar!
Excellent demo. Thank you.
Thanks Manny. I appreciate the comment. Don't forget to subscribe!
hell yeah that was sick!!!!!!!
David
I have a 2014 pro master. Followed your video illustration which was perfect.
I am still having the same problem which is my high beam works my lower beam does not even after changing out the bulb.
I would appreciate it any advice you have.
nice instructions. can you do one for the diesel fuel filter?? Thanks
I will keep it in mind as a future video. I have been wanting to but just havent had a chance or one needing one yet. Thanks for watching....make sure to subscribe
Awesome - thank you - nothing short of excellent.

Thank you for this video
Thank you so much!!!
Your welcome. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe.
Thanks David for the concise how to. I heard you should always were gloves when removing the bulb. Whats your advice?
Its recommended when possible. its all most impossible to not touch the bulb when handling it. I just do my best not to touch the actual bulb portion. Otherwise have I seen a bulb burn out quickly because I did.....nope. Might depend on how clean your hands are.
Sounds like good advice.
did not mean to hit thumbs down, sorry. I thought I could see what the "complaints" were. I am more interested in what was wrong not right. Got the driver low changed out but I suspect it is a little too high now. In the other video did you say raising and lowering the point of impact was the top adjustment or the bottom. It would seem that loosening the top mounting bolt and moving the assembly forward would lower the impact point. If that does not get it the T-15? Top HOLE diagonal?
Greatest video thanks
Thank you for the informative video.
Question, I have a 2018 Ram promaster. What is the running temperature supposed to be?
My dash guage ALWAYS goes to center and stays there know matter how Hot the engine gets.
When I open the hood it always seems a Lot hotter than any car I've had. I can feel the heat in the cab while driving.
If it is running hot, what are some things I should look at?
Thank you.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to adjust (aim) the low beam down. I get flashed by oncoming traffic constantly, and not in a good way. Do have a quick answer to that?
Mike Harley Hey Mike, inorder to adjust the headlamps you need to remove both the upper and the lower trim panels like in the video. The vertical adjustment is accessed when the lower trim cover is removed and the horizontal adjustment is accessed when the upper cover is removed. I can send you a picture of the locations but I need an email to do that. Hollar back at me at david@motorcitymechanic.com
MotorCity Mechanic thank you I have that problem. Your videos are very helpful and I subscribed to your Channel thank you again you are very helpful
? Would you ever change a 2018 model headlight to LED lights or stick with original equipment
thanks man. I have to change mine out. do you have a video On How to change the corner number out. I have to change that out on my 2017 Ram Promaster 3500. I'm sure they are all the same so far. body style is the same
Looking over the info it shows the sames steps on the 2017. Inorder to access any of the bulbs on the assembly requires removal of the assembly. If you follow the steps in the video you should be okay. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe!
I bought my Ram ProMaster 2500 in September last year mine is a 2015 model. It came equipped with the V6 gasoline engine made by Fiat. Of course there was no factory warranty left when I bought the vehicle and initially I thought I had done a good thing LOL but apparently I didn't do my homework. In 32 days after purchase I was shelling out big bucks for a new set of fuel injectors. The vehicle had less than 60,000 miles on it. A few other idiosyncrasies and now my headlights have stopped working both low beams at the same time I still have high beams and running lights. I have not attempted to pull the bulbs as I suspect it may be something else. Can you help me out here? Thank you
thank u u saved me alot of money and time
Zubair Gul Awesome, glad it helped. That's the whole reason for these videos. Glad to see someone take on the job themselves. Make sure to subscribe and help spread the word by sharing these videos with others.
The bolts and screws are no problem, but have just spent 30 minutes trying to undo that b*****d connector. How does it work? Squeeze in and slide off? No chance!
very very helpful! thanks David! one more like
+RazmaTaz Thanks. Always great to get feedback on the videos. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe
Thanks for video, very helpful.
Only questions, it's possible too install xenon light on Promaster?
Not sure.....I havent had the chance to try that so I cant say for sure. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe
Probably should be updated that this is the same up to and including the 2019s
Appreciate that info!
@@MotorCityMechanic Now it's up to and including 2020s
I have a 2018 Promaster 2500. I haven’t had a headlight to go out yet, but I’m thinking about converting them to LED’s since Promasters seem to have a reputation of having headlight issues. Should I also use the anti-flicker resister with LED headlights?
I haven’t swapped out to LED’s yet so I don’t know what’s needed. Curious myself now that you mentioned it.
Thanks for the video!
+djdigital1 Your welcome. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. Make sure to subscribe when you get time if you haven't already
I have a 2018 dodge 1500 promaster that has a driver side accident what should I do
I have a 2017 Ram Promaster 2500 high top. Is it about the same instructions?
It should be identical. If you follow those steps you shouldnt have any issues
Thanks man
Your welcome. Thanks for checking it out. Make sure to subscribe
Hi! Do you know if this headlights type will work on the Europe version, Citroen Jumper ? Thx !
You didn't mention how to remove the bulb.
man its really helpful thx buddy

Can anyone help me? I have 2017 promaster when I go uphill it downshifts very quickly but it doesn't upshift gear get stuck till I let go off gas pedal. Someone told me it might be aceletor sensor by I don't know where it is located thanks
good vid, but there's no info on the specifics of the headlight removal and replacement in this vid nor any other
Sorry that I didnt go into more details about the bulb itself. I will keep it in mind as a future video for sure about just the bulb. Thanks for pointing that out and for watching the video. Make sure to subscribe
Any suggestion for a headlight that keeps filling with water or condensation?
I do have one thing you can try other then replacing the assembly. What we want to do is remove the water inside and the best way to do that is with our friend named Gravity. In cases such as this I remove the headlamp assembly and then drill a small hole in the lowest portion. This way anything that gets inside will have a way to drain out. Drill the hold on the bottom side of the assembly so that you cant easily see the hole. Hope this info helps. Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe
on this van how do you access the front strut tops. is it accessible from behind the head light
+Peter Candelaria Evening....The top of the struts as accessed from inside the vehicle. The glove box has to be removed on the right side and then body control module on the left side.
sir my dad would want to buy these lamps from the framework pro master ca.
I have a Ram ProMaster 2014 heater is not blowing hot air do you know anything about it? thanks
I personally haven't seen any issues with heat on these vehicles.
Thanks
Your welcome
my radiator went on my promaster which stopped the heat. Luckily covered under extended warranty. Radiator failure is common I guess in "masters"
Aaaah wtf You skipped the hard part ... installing the bulb with that stupid bulb reflector shroud thingy and spring thing
The the title of the video was the “headlight assembly”......not headlight bulb.
Thank you so much the best job
Any thanks for the great comment 👍!
