I haven’t finished watching, in fact it’s only up to the lounge area but I NEEDED to say how happy I am to finally see people who realise that dogs should be secured during travel just like humans. They should not be left to lie around or sit on someone’s lap in the front!
For all those out there that say “it’s fine, I’ve never had an accident”. Well first of all it’s not just about you but all the other people in the road and it’s about your animal/s. It’s selfish to want your dog to sit in your lap or somewhere close by unrestrained. It’s like a child wanting to climb about in the back of a car while your driving. You wouldn’t let them do that because 1) it’s not safe and 2) it’s against the law. So why not treat your pet/s with the same love and respect.
Amen!!! Thank you for saying this. There is no difference between a human child and a non human family member. We love our fur babies and them safe.

Her personality really grows on you. Great couple, great van. I like the bench in the front so it's easy to have guests and utilize the front seats as a hangout area.

I was told by Quigley that a four wheel drive Sprinter is really only All Wheel Drive, but they call it 4x4. Interesting. I am curious to know how your upgraded Promaster does in snow and ice! What a beautiful van build! I don't do instagram but would have loved to see more of your build :)
In 2023 they’ll be all wheel I’ve got a 2022 it’s 4x4 transfer case hi and low drive

Great job on this Promaster -- love the design inside and out. A tremendous tip on the shower pan -- the offset drain. Where did you find it? We are in the planning process of our Promaster build and we would have the same problem hitting beams in the chassis.

If you want wood but a lighter build, then bamboo is a great option, plus it’s water resistant.
Bamboo ply isn’t lighter than any other play unfortunately, I’ve weighed it.
Nice van but if you're going off of pavement you need AWD........ With the Weight of conversion vans you need as many wheels spinning. I owned 2019 2 Wheel Dr. transit now I own have a 2020 AWD transit night and day difference.
Another thing to consider is transit rear wheel drive perform worse than promasters front wheel drive. Really the promaster romt wheel drive is the middle ground between the rwd and awd.

I did!! Shaiden made it really easy to just be my goofy self. He made Forrest and I feel so comfortable. Shaiden is a great guy with soooo much knowledge and experience with van builds.

Just a reminder for the comment section. This is a pretty expensive build. From the tires, suspension and raptor lining, to the red cedar, butcher block counter top, Battle born batteries, and Victron components. All this combined with a 2019 van probably costs over 60 or 70k. Not knocking the build, it is incredible and beautiful. But as someone that is currently building out my own 136" Promaster I wish I would have come along a comment like this back a year ago or so. For reference, my van cost 20k after taxes, and my conversion will probably be around another 10k. A middle of the road price point IMO.

Those latches are what they use on roto molded coolers to latch them shut.

We are in the planning phase (still need to test drive Ram Promaster and Ford Transit), and I've been viewing LOTS & LOTS of videos! I totally love how you got a nice kitchen countertop, tons of upper cabinet storage, a BENCH seat (fridge/freezer underneath) near 2 Swivel captains chairs, AND A SHOWER SPACE!!! I love this so much!! Great job on the layout!

Almost stopped the vid 3 min in with the climate grift, but def hard stop @ 9 mins with the blm plug. Blm hasn’t did anything for blacks!
No offense intended, but the typical van is:
OVERWEIGHT
This is testimony to just how obsolete and out-of-touch present-day Van and RV manufacturers are in the United States. I am an engineer and have some constructive criticism. Every gram of weight counts. People think their van is a house. It's not. It's a road-worthy, resource-efficient machine.
Here are seven issues with typical van builds:
1) NOT ECO-FRIENDLY
Heavy ceiling / van causes causes low MPG. Poor cornering because of the high center of gravity of ceiling. Should have big solar to make the claim "Best Quality and Design".
People insist on outfitting their rigs with doodads like heavy wood ceilings, wood closets, wasteful showers, heavy wood cabinetry, exterior lights, wasteful water heaters, roof decks, vents, sky lights and ladders. Most van build windows are heavy outdated silicon glass. They should be dual-pane acrylic like in Europe. Insulation is minimal because cockpit is not thermally isolated from living area. Reflectix is not insulation. Materials are way OVERWEIGHT. Polyiso has 2x more R value than wool and has no fibers, which are condensation nuclei for water vapor, causing water build-up. The wood cabinetry and doors could be lightened by 50% or eliminated.
Please care about the environment.
2) EXPENSIVE
All of the above doodads cost money that unwitting customers pay for because they do not understand first principals of engineering regarding minimization. Lithium batteries in typical van cost about $1000/usable KWH (KiloWatt Hour). My Tesla battery cost about 8x less.
My empty Sprinter van with a BlueTec i4 turbodiesel gets 30MPG, and 25MPG with the camper build at 55 MPH. The van in this video is so overburdened I doubt it even gets 16MPG.
Expensive fridge. My fridge costs $195 and is 2x larger.
3) HOT WATER DELAY
With a remote hot water heater, it will take up to 30 minutes to get hot water. If the hot water tank is pre-heated, it still may take 30 seconds to get hot water. Meanwhile, much water is wasted. This hot water tank design wasted both water and energy. To resolve this, I installed a true-instant hot water faucet; six seconds for hot water.
4) NOT BOONDOCKABLE
Greenwashing: Since there is inadequate solar, fossil fuels must be used to charge the battery and keep the van warm. If it is winter, very little solar power is available. Wasteful water design will require frequent trips to replenish.
5) FOUR-SEASON, NOT
Customers camping in the hot summer or cold winter will have issues with energy usage and temperature control due to the lack of insulation and outdated climate control. My Mitsubishi mini-split heat pump has a SEER of 33 and can heat down to -13F. A lot of fossil fuel will be needed to stay warm in winter. Water will freeze and burst pipes.
6) NOISY
The choice of outdated climate control like Maxxair fans will lead to excessive CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) airflow, causing high noise levels. Maxxair fans are noisy, are bug collectors, are not insulated and don’t move much air. Diesel heaters noisy, emit toxic gas and are high-maintenance.
7) POWER
Small battery, solar and inverter are inadequate to power a house on wheels.
