If you gut a cat and put o2 spacer does its through a check engine light?
I would think so......High flow cats will toss a code with the spacer......

I'm sorry I didn't reset it, I remember buying a scanner but it wasn't for the mustang it was for my Acura, on the mustang I did just drive it and the car did read the new sensor

Hey man I’m looking to buying a mustang and the only problem is the engine light for the 02 sensor. The question is the guy I’m buying the car from got it inspected and everything checked out great. It’s just the lights on for the sensor. What would you do in this situation l?
You would need to get the DTC’s read again. Engine light could be on for many reasons. I’m assuming the seller told you it’s on for the sensor (did they replace it?). You should also check the sensor is actually there, then clear the DTC, drive to see if it comes back on. If so, check DTC’s again.

P0430 is my code. Its usually the downstream one
How was the car running with bad o2’s my car might have the same problem just wanna know
It actually it didn't affect the drive, I didn't notice any loss of power or anything when this engine code came up
upstream sensors get lazy and start to fail throwing the downstream code.....You'll notice other codes or your car doesn't run as it should do to the air/fuel ratio being off.....the ECU will dump fuel thinking it's lean.....
Hey..just wondering my car got the code P013E saying 02 sensor delayed response. Rich to lean bank 1 sensor 2. Would that be the same sensor you changed or is another one?

I have downpipe and my car has been running rough lately. Not sure if it is because of bad o2 sensor.

I’ll just come out and say it I have no idea what in 02 sensor does to our vehicles if your O2 sensor was bad what were the problems it was causing
I think it just makes sure the exhaust is working properly and not emitting to many emissions in the air. Also may cause the car to drive a bit funky but I didn’t experience that
I got bad sensor on bank 2 and its badly seized.
Had to buy a o2 socket kit for it. Amazon has good and cheap ones.
Its a common problem after 80k

Great question, I had a mechanic look at it with a computer and he was able to tell me the exact one
This may be the problem with mine mustang 2015. Engine light is allways on. I will try it and see what happen. The car it self is running perfect. I just like to work on my car my self.
Yeah my catalytic converter went out and my o2 sensors started acting up but the car was running fine

Interesting that a 3 year old car has a bad O2 sensor. I have a 2015 GT with 17,000 miles and never had one issue.

@@AutoWizard94 Mines P0420 catalyst system but my car runs the same n is a 2017 with only 30k miles could it be same problem
It maybe be an o2 sensor on a different bank , that’s why you get a different code
Is it the 02 located after or before the catalyst converter

how did you do it? There seems to be a clip but I think you have to get it with a flat head
