These women seem powerless somewhere in their personal lives, so THEY have their own issues and transfer power over patients. They are burned out. They need to be completely retrained, or fired for abuse, due to their own psychological problems! Disgusting! Voids in oversight by the hospital!! Criminal!
I'm trying to watch most of this trial but I work overnights and fall asleep a lot of times while listening. Can you tell me what time it's on the video where the doctor calls her that?

This defence team can be so annoying. First Hunter mocks the Dr who first diagnosed Maya correctly for not bringing his medical records with him, yet he objects when this hospital administrator witness looks at his notes. Good for the Dr and his response to the effect of 'I was told the records were in evidence' when asked why he did not bring his records.
Plaintiff should be able to show the hospitals tendency to over step, especially Beady and Smith.
This witness should be given a senior position at Jh Hospital. He at least understands flow charts and procedures better (rights of patients)
Dr. Cochran? (sp) If so, I agree. He made lemonade out lemons for himself and others.
You do realize he’s been making MILLIONS AND MILLIONS AND MILLIONS off of “serving the underprivileged” for two decades as a hospital admin, right?! He’s only an expert in this witness bc he’s paid a LOT to be there. He about had me rolling off the bed, outta the chair, onto the floor, curing cancer, etc when in his “credentials” he brought up being there when Obama was elected/sworn in. Jesus Christ, man. Please god say you’re not trying to relate to the jury folk, one of which he would never rest his privileged buttocks in, without saying “yeah…I understand y’all. I relate. Bc OBAMA.”.
Good lord. And people are really up in here talking about the hospitals attorneys being the only smarmy people…or the judge and they also wanna let a Netflix documentary (who totally has a history of totally pocketing HUGE profits off of their “non-biased 🙄” documentaries.
Oh…and look at the executive producers on that Netflix documentary and look back at the plaintiff’s attorneys. Food for thought.
Ohhhhh yeah…and then there’s him bringing in the masa shooting in Las Vegas and how “his ER took in 350 patients. And we are in the NICE side of Las Vegas….we are right off of the strip”…..the plaintiffs attorney were SMART to try and stop him from finishing that sentence. Too bad if you are actually listening ya heard it.

Sorry y’all. This expert is just as corrupt/messed up as anybody…including, in my serious opinion Mr. K. I think maya did start to do better and he was like “dang it maya there goes your college fund/guilt tripped her on money”.
I think the timing of her sudden relapse, unaccounted for sudden improvement and DRASTIC improvement without any controlled substances or a mom who was shoving them on her speaks more than it doesn’t.
This Judge and Mr. Anderson have grown on me. This case is extremely complex. However, it is clear that the hospital has abused its power over this family. The saddest part is it absolutely took the mothers death to bring this all to light.
I believe we can all agree if the hospital just settled out of court, this behavior could continue. The bright side is that there will be numerous changes so this DOESN’T happen there ever again.
This family’s tenacity and bravery is without bounds!
There should be a “Maya’s Law” created!

It must be recognized that in a country the size of the United States with a population north of 350 Million and the massive Medical Industrial Complex that accounts for almost 20% of the total annual economic spending and employs 22 Million people that this type of corruption, manipulation, mistreatment, & malpractice exposed in this specific case is most likely playing out to one degree or another to tens of thousands of patients in all areas of the country. Each year 35 Million people are admitted as patients into one of the approximately 6500 Hospitals in the United States and with so many possible opportunities to fleece the system by inflating costs/quantities, billing for procedures,. tests, & treatments that never happened, over-prescriptions, all levels of theft & resale of equipment & supplies into the black market or back to the Hospital that discovered they were short 100 units of "insert expensive medical apparatus here" from their inventory, all of the kick-backs, bribes, & expensive gifts from companies looking to land massive purchase contracts and pharma giants pushing their side-effect riddled drugs & "vaccines" to be prescribed & mandated to the masses of clueless people willing to accept just about anything so long as it solves their problem, relieves their pain, or makes their symptoms disappear. It's only in these rare circumstances when a catastrophic event such as a suicide takes place and the victims are in a position to defend themselves successfully does justice ever actually occur. Even if only 1% of the 22 Million people employed are corrupt evil assholes there are likely no less than 220,000 people working in and around hospitals primarily focused on screwing you over if they had the opportunity to do so.

My bet….more than likely is she handed it off to some “nurse” who she absolutely views as inferior to herself and said “upload this”….
Meaning the digital camera to the computer chart. I say this as a RN and I have been on for over 2 decades so I’m not new…lol…but we were uploading or expected to know how (aka self teach) how to upload those digital cameras to patient charts. Hospital administrators aren’t even trying to teach an entire nurses staff how to upload a digital camera!! Nuh/uh!!!! They’d like to say “well we just assume since we live in a digital age” AND y’all got nurses been nurses since 1970…?!? Can’t have it both ways hospital administrators!!!! Tsk tsk.
Just saying…Ms B (sw) gave the HEAVY impression that her masters in social work somehow trumps a lowly bachelors (or associates or LPN on CNA or ACTUAL 12hr day/every day, Bedside, hands-on, PATIENT CARE.

Not that this matters as far as “law” and ultimate determination by the jury of John Hopkins’s “guilt” in this lawsuit, but does this Defense attorney’s “snarky & demeaning” way of cross examining witnesses rub anyone else the wrong way? I can’t help but think his demeanor is not going to be viewed favorably at all by the jury, especially when he’s trying to DEFEND Johns Hopkins whose doctors and staff are being proven to have snarky and demeaning attitudes towards Maya and her family!! It’s abhorrent the way Maya & her family was treated (or rather NOT treated), and they deserve to be awarded every DIME they’re asking for in this lawsuit!! It’s sad and really scary that most large hospitals like Johns Hopkins will only affect much needed “changes” when it’s “financially” in their best interest to do so!!
Why couldnt he answer what kind of training beaty should have gotten after what she did?
This was a high stress situation. Many dont eat well under stress, but mom was still healthy in weight. Maya had trouble eating due to severe pain and severe constipation. I have a disease with high pain levels and severe constipation, much of the time i can't eat because of it.

Lord have mercy, why am i just enjoying this judge FINALLY holding the defense team accountable for 1 particular issue where maya was held against her will in a different room to be tortured and taped. We have stricter rules for prisoners in solitary confinement than JHACH

This is horrible. And does every head shaker on the defense side to to talk to the judge...yeah and he allows it all and theres only 1 Mr.Anderson trying to speak! Only to be talked doen to when he finally gets to. He's also limiting every one of the plaintiffs witnesses about what they can say. When he calls a witness, watch how quick the judge shuts down the witness while trying to say one sentence. Ive so had it with this Judge!!!
I don’t think it’s an accident that plaintiff’s doctors have all been impeccably credentialed, kind, engaging, passionate about their work, etc……and anyone representing the hospital has been arrogant, smarmy, condescending, and downright creepy at times.

All the time. That's part of the patient Bill of Rights because if you don't agree with what the doctors thinking or doing you have a right to not change the diagnosis but certainly have the responsibility of questioning things you don't understand, disagreeing if you think they're in the wrong path. Patients who have no one to advocate for them do not do well.
Change diagnosis?? Question for sure and get 2nd and 3rd opinion which they were not allowed once she was in hospital. Clearly you aren't a parent who would fight for your child against false claims. 😕
There was a case where parents took child to hospital, & didnt agree with something sp they took their child to another hospital which treated him.😮 The 1st hospital quickly called c p s who came to their home & kidnapped their child without telling them where they were taking their child. C P S took the child back to the hospital parents didn't approve of😮

It’s 4 against 1 that’s what it looks like anyway. I wish her lawyer had a better team, Or a team that helps, Or he allows his team to help IF he doesn’t?. Why is he doing absolutely everything for the most part. The other guy does help I just never seen one lawyer do everything throughout the whole trial. Especially a case like this.

Pretty sure that’s the real reason he ain’t stay a practicing OBGYN for very long….not saying his back pain isn’t real or some back surgeon didn’t effff him up….just saying he was in practice for a really, really, reallllllllllly short amount of time. Either that or he was sued like crazy for mishandling a Labor and Delivery and it resulted in a fetal and/or maternal demise. They do say that L&D is sued more than any other specialty/hard to insure….but •..•••
