The addiction transfer is real!! I never had surgery but I quit cigarettes and started overeating and eventually gained a bunch of weight. I finally did change my eating habits DRASTICALLY during quarantine, and have noticed that I started online shopping compulsively. The attention to and mindlfulness of other activities does not stop, you have to keep asking yourself "Do I need this?", in all things.

I’m with you! I did the sleeve as well. I still see “OVERWEIGHT ”. I’ve gone from sizes 14/16 to a 6/8. It’s definitely a challenge. Transfer addiction is real! My shopping has gone up! It’s ridiculous. Ive been praying about it. My alcohol intake went waaaaaay up too. I gave it up from August-Thanksgiving. I’ve never was a drinker until after 30 yrs old but at 35 since the surgery, I was doin the most when they gave me the clearance. Additionally, it definitely slowed my weight lost down. I couldn’t lose and gained one lbs. I lost about ten lbs when i stopped drinking. Chiiiile, I drank over thanksgiving and ate sweets and felt horrible, physically. I have to get this brain bk in check! Didn’t come this far to lose! I never was a soda drinker but the thought of soda makes me cringe! Chicken hasnt been my friend after surgery. It literally sits there after I eat and I’m so uncomfortable 😬😂. I try to avoid her now. Thank you for all of your transparency! This is an awesome journey! You’re looking great! New subbie and now follow u on IG😘

Congrats lady!! Love your content. I had a Gastric Bypass in 2009. I was 343 surgery day, today I’m 175-180. My taste buds changed sooo much!! Till this day! Also, apparently I had Lupus pre-surgery, I had minor symptoms but attributed them to being fat. 2 years After surgery and significant weight loss, my Lupus was triggered and has been rough since. The MD’s(3 separate one’s)said the body was shocked by the drastic, quick weight loss, and kicked sister Lupus into full gear. I pray anyone who has the surgery has the best outcome with no complications. Thanks sis!!! Yes B12 is life, I can’t make it if I don’t take it! Love ya!!

Hey sis, keep going you're beautiful!! I had my sleeve done over a year and half ago! My surgery weight was 256 at 5'2" CHILE!! that's a lot for me because my average is between 160-170lbs. I'm now at my goal weight of 175lbs and my appetite is back to normal which is SOOO difficult and frustrating!! The energy level and hair loss and acid reflux was a MONSTER to deal with but I'm definitely not regretting it at all. 🙏🏽💯❤️

It’s triggered by depression & anxiety (And following decorating platforms on social media😫)So yeah, the “addiction transfer” thing is real. I still don't over eat but I really do not like to eat. Try to get some protein drinks from Sam's Club its made by Premier. I love outshine the sugar free and the fruit and veggie natural fruits. You will be able to eat those foods you like again. I can't stand to look at ppl eating allot of food either. Keep it up I have to use the protein drinks to get my protein. I'm still training myself to eat after yeard of being told not to eat and being forced to diet at age of 10 and I wasn't even overweight it was my parent who had an issue with me being 5"8 at the age. Thank you for kerp it real always.

Can I just say how much I appreciate your honesty about just flat not wanting to lose your hair. I’m about to start a new medication for my multiple sclerosis and one of the most common side effects is hair thinning. It’s stressing me out, and when I try to talk about it people remind me of what it will do for my health. And I’m like “I know, that’s why I’m taking it,” but I just really don’t want to lose my hair. As side effects go, this one is better than a lot of other meds but dang it, I don’t want to lose my hair. Lol. So thank you for helping me feel less alone.

Almost 4 years out post surgery. Maintaining with not much effort at this point. Congratulations on taking your health and well being into your own hands!
Vitamins will drastically help with your energy.
My lab tests always show I’m in the normal range but I always notice a big difference when I take vitamin D and Iron. (I actually tried a lot of the vitamins you mentioned and did not notice a difference when taking them in terms of energy).
Even with the vitamin D and iron I notice differences when I take different brands (even though they are supposed to be 100% that vitamin 🙄 lol). All of that just to say experiment with different vitamins and brands. When you find one that works for you it will make a world of difference.

I had gastric bypass in 2010 and unlike some of my co workers I didn’t experience hair loss as I made sure I got at least 50 grams or more of protein mostly in the form of protein powder. But you have to make sure it’s the right kind as some powders are for weight gain and muscle building which will of course stall your weightless. I have gained some of it back as the hardest thing is I have to remember it’s not a magic pill so to speak but rather it’s to help you in your journey to better health and exercise and what you eat are still very very important.
I had a co worker that would continue to just drink sodas all day long, smoke and drink alcohol so that was her transfer so to speak.
I’m now on my journey with intermittent fasting which I’ve fell off the wagon when COVID started as the stress level was or is way up. I’ve been in some sort of weightloss journey since puberty and IF has been the only thing I’ve had great success with.
    Continued success on your journey.

I loved water before, but after surgery your tastebuds change. That’s a fact! Things I loved before I don’t like & some of the stuff I hated I actually like now. 🤷🏾‍♀️ The hair loss can be startling, but thankfully we have enough hair that WE notice but others don’t.

I love the honesty. I have mines on the 23rd and it's been a wave of emotions and thoughts. Your also hilarious lol "I Love Jesus....Abba! " *head action*
I wanted to know if you actually enjoy food still? I know hormones change and even food preferences but does it also do anyhing with the taste buds? What about teeth? I have heard some really odd shares from others as well.

    Hi Faye, 🌷You look Amazing!!!
I am 2 years out from the surgery. Can I plz share?
Acid reflex is common with the sleeve so its a good idea to avoid the acid foods like orange juice.
Hair loss happened to me up to a year after surgery.
Energy is telling us to allow more time to heal.
Bariatric vitamins absorb in your new stomach so infusions may not be necessary. B-12 will supply your energy. Walking is the best activity. Hope this all helps! 😙

Mother! Looking gorgeous! Before you 100% commit to reconstructive surgery, look into collagen options for your skin. I don’t know anyone who has had gastric bypass, but i do know a ton of people with significant weight loss who incorporate collagen in their diet to help the skin go back to its elastic state. Its starting to become a trend i.e. the Kardashians, but it does work with tightening the skin and giving it a healthy glow. If you start now while continuing to the goal of 180, you may not really need to go through with a 2nd surgery.

Thanks for sharing. I would suggest taking a chewable vit D daily. That will help increase your energy tremendously. Not sure how your GI is doing but taking a probiotic helps to keep things regular and flowing which helps with my energy level too.
