I applied pro line tire bead glue to the stock shafts on o ring it perfectly sealed together all around hasn't fallen out since worked great on the plastic drive shafts
Best of all though is music wire which can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or like craft stores. These come in long sticks that you can cut into a ton of pins. Knipex is no doubt the best in many hand tools
Hey, awesome video guys. Just took mine on an uphill hike, went 1.4 miles in 73 minutes, uphill 587 ft, at an average speed of 1.18mph. these little batteries are amazing.
Why not use a paperclip, straighten it, put it in and then bend the two ends around the driveshaft in that groove. Cut the excess and you're ready to go!
BACK WHEN I PICKED UP MY THEN-NEW MINI-T 1.0, I HAD ISSUES LOSING THE WHEEL PIN. THE ORIGINAL MINI-T DID NOT HAVE A HEX ON THE REAR DRIVE. I WENT TO THE HOBBY STORE AND PICKED UP A ROD THAT IS USED ON RC PLANES FOR SERVO TO CONTROL SURFACES. I CUT THE ROD TO LENGTH AND ENDED UP GETTING MANY PINS OUT OF IT. I STILL HAVE THAT ROD AND HAVE USED IT FOR OTHER THINGS SINCE. BTW, FIX THE FLAG. I CAN SEE HOW IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN OVERLOOKED. AS A VETERAN I APPRECIATE SEEING THE FLAG UP BUT, I ALSO DO NOT LIKE SEEING IT "FLOWN INCORRECTLY" . THANK YOU!
I used metal wire. I shoved it in where the pin gose wrapped it around and then cut the access off. I have a few other options I'm gonna try. ........My only thought on yours isthe drive shaft is gonna break no where near the o ring it's happened to me. When that happens and u have to remove that screw to remove the shaft how hard is it to cut the shrink off to get the screw out ???
Any hardware o rings will work, and the cutting tool we use it here: www.knipex.com/products/cutting-pliers/high-leverage-diagonal-cutters/high-leverage-diagonal-cutters/7401200?v=13594&sku=7406200T
had mine since it came out and the pin never fell out. even better i have never had a problem with the car as in that something broke untill 3 days a go with the servo a tooth of a gear broke and i cant find the original trx4m gears only the expensive metal ones
I’m still getting about 1 ½ hrs on a full charge also nice video 👍🏻 I run mine quite a bit and have yet to have had this issue though and most of the time I’m going over dirt and rocks
Never had an issue but I took this advice and did the mod, nice job guys. the Germans are going to be upset, they pronounce the K "Ka-nipex" as they say why have a letter in a word and not use it XD
Why do u can rotate wheels by arms? Gears in axels stock? In my stock trx4m I can’t rotate wheels by arms because gears in axles brokes… 😭 Upd: !!! Hi from Russia:) I put some grease on tuning low range gears and it rotate now:))) magic 🤔😂 And I also partly solved the problem of damage stock plastic gears. I put very thin washer (6*8*0,2mm) to both gears in axles and they fit tightly now🔥🔥🔥 I hope it can helps new byers and save their money at least for a looooong time :))
Hey, I also just noticed the flag after another commenters comment. I’m actually confused as to why it would be hung the way it is . Also, I thought you guys were from Canada, so is it trying to insult the United States? Natural and actually genuinely curious
It’s a $150-$170 hobby grade toy that Traxxas has marketed and engineered for said market. Every part is minimal yet effective as designed. The more weight and flex and such added, the more you will twist and torque parts that were not designed for said twist and torque. Hobby grade means upgrading.
Finishing nails work great as well for the drive shaft ring with a 90 buna oring
Right on
I applied pro line tire bead glue to the stock shafts on o ring it perfectly sealed together all around hasn't fallen out since worked great on the plastic drive shafts
Thats awesome!
Ol boy got that lean
🥴🥴
His hair is obviously very heavy.
Nice fix guys , I like the shrinktube idea , I just used 1 small drip of clear silicon on the pin then slide the o ring back on and your done
Sounds great!
Try using a tiny key ring or a cut-off of a spring. I cut a spring into single loop sections and slid it into the groove covering the pin.
You could also invest in some new drive shafts like injora for example since they uses screws. They are fairly cheap and would look pretty cool
true!
Best of all though is music wire which can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or like craft stores. These come in long sticks that you can cut into a ton of pins.
Knipex is no doubt the best in many hand tools
Nice job guys appreciate that
Hell yes, thank you for this.
You bet!
These are great ideas thanks guys
Definitely gonna keep these thoughts in my arsenal
Great to hear!
Thank you very much and hi from Germany !
The heat shrink tube, thanks looks good.
Trying to get new tricks before I buy that thing.
Glad to help
This is great guys thanks!

for real!!

both works
I was thinking just that lol
Awesome!
Thank you gentlemen this is amazing video excellent I truly enjoy how your techniques are explained to us the viewers
Glad to hear!
Goddamn, you guys are geniuses
Tiny dot of superglue stops the ring rolling off.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊

Not hard at all. Just cut it. add a new piece of shrink wrap to it if its too bad
nice job guys! thanks for showing us
Our pleasure!
Nice video !
Thanks for the visit
Thanks
Welcome
great info. thanks guys 👍👍
Our pleasure!
Could you please tell the shrink tube size for trx4m
6:25
Good job guys!
Cool seht tolle lösung, werde ich heute mittag auch machen bei meinem Trx-4m Bronco 👍Danke für den Tipp. Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Getting about 45 minutes ➕ crawling. Some problem with right shock staying lower. Right rear
have you taken out the shock spacers? A lot of times it's because of the torque of the motor that the rear end sits weird
RING THAT 🔔!
Got links for o-rings and cut tool???

I need to know more about the chopped blue bronco. Did you guys just cut it off?
Nevermind, I just looked at mine and it looks like it can come off by removing some screws.
Yep! Most of the TRX4M body components are melted on
Yep! Most of the TRX4M body components are melted on
I just ordered the Meus Racing v2 driveshafts. They look like the ticket but time will tell!
had mine since it came out and the pin never fell out. even better i have never had a problem with the car as in that something broke
untill 3 days a go with the servo a tooth of a gear broke and i cant find the original trx4m gears only the expensive metal ones
get the expensive ones, its worth it in the long run
This is a great fix, I am going to do that to mine!😎
Which size shrink tube fit best?
Exactly
I’m still getting about 1 ½ hrs on a full charge also nice video 👍🏻 I run mine quite a bit and have yet to have had this issue though and most of the time I’m going over dirt and rocks
Thanks for sharing

😂😂
Thx
No problem
Thank you Sir
Love the info!
Anyone have any foam ideas for 64x2 tires?
Thanks
Not that I know of.. not sure what you mean by “64x2 tires”
@@3X7Outdoor my mistake. 64x 24mm injora Hyrax knockoffs
Yeah, I was gonna get the K10.
sick!
Why not just cut the body clip so that the loop grabs around the body making it mechanically secure with spring tension
that would work as well
I get over an hour easily with both of mine and I’ve been driving my trx4ms a lot and I mean like 3 hours a day and never had this issue
Why do u can rotate wheels by arms? Gears in axels stock?

I wish the Chevy K10 came Brussels
wouldn't be too hard to switch it!
Did yall paint all the blue parts😂
🤫
I put the heat shrink over my o ring . Not under it .
We didn’t put it under it either
@@3X7Outdoor go to 5:25 time on the video . The o ring is against the differential and you guys put the heat shrink and grabbed the heat gun .
@@3X7Outdoor maybe after the video you fixed it but in the video you put the what shrink with no o ring
Ohh i see what you’re saying! We didnt put it under it, we just skipped the o ring. But they way you did it works just as well!
Now to fix the Red pants .
😂
I just put some super glue on the spot of the o-ring, and it sits tight now - pin never drops out anymre
Nice!
Hey, I also just noticed the flag after another commenters comment.
I’m actually confused as to why it would be hung the way it is .

we are from Minnesota and are patriots. the flag just fell off it's hanger! it's fixed now.
good fixs, but I'm wondering y no one is calling Traxxas out on that undoubtedly intentional designed in fail point! Traxxas scam!

Where the hell is a video on the xrt, come onnnn
We’ll need the money first 🤣
@@3X7Outdoor I thought you got one?
It was a press car

oookay
Just like the intentionally custom proprietary plugs. Traxxas SCAM!
Dude why do you look so different from last year 😭
Ok no
Ok no what
Duo of whack hairstyles. Great video though
watch a newer video 😂
So do you think I can use Thread seal tape too. I’ve seen that as a hack. I could just put it over the O ring
It would probably lose it’s stickiness, over time. Heat shrink is pretty cheap too
I literally bought it took it out the box and heat shrieked both sides of the shafts
