    Just bought a 2013 Tahoe with 62k miles. Has after market wheels, exhaust and headlights. Very good condition. All black with black interior. It is a beautiful beast.

    @modmatt1 I agree with you that the seat sits low due to this arrangement and that's not great for sure, but most of these third rows I wouldn't want to spend even a second in and I felt like in the Tahoe I could at least make it on a short trip...and the kids had no issues. The Expedition does do a nice job with the 3rd row legroom but gives up a significant amount of cargo room behind the second row with the 3rd row removed.

    I remember seeing in another review that the hybrid option for the chevy tahoe compromises braking ability, power-steering and handling for the fuel economy. If that's the case then I'm wondering if I should pick a gas guzzler that is less likely to rear-end someone (if I have to slam on the breaks in rush hour) vs something that trades safety for fuel economy. Can't confirm. If anyone here knows otherwise, please comment b/c I'm wondering if I should replace my current tahoe with a new one.

    The only thing the Tahoe and the Suburban need are fold-to-the-floor 3rd rows. Like the Navigator/Expedition.

  • @modmatt1
    @modmatt1 12 лет назад

    @stevehammes Thanks for responding and mean no disrespect - appreciate the well done review. The current Expedition's 3rd row doesn't need to be removed as it folds flat forward into the floor, but does concede a few cu ft when compared to the tahoe since you take it with you 55 vs. 60.3 cu ft behind 2nd row. Not that significant IMO for much added convenience and the split seats need to be removed in the Tahoe for that max space, not just folded. Direct comparison video review please?

    I hope that GM doesn't switch to a crossover design for the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban. It is a nice old body on frame SUV that can do 200,000 miles if well taken care of and is solidly built too. I hope it stays that way.

  • @DualofChaos

    I'm with you and Waffleeater1; Nissan made the Pathfinder a large crossover. Plenty of Nissan Pathfinder enthusists will be greatly dissapointed. I doubt the Tahoe or Suburban will go to this route. I'll take a Tahoe to tow a boat and to bring a lot of passengers.

    actually the Liberty is a "un", which is a unibody with an integrated ladder frame for strength and ridgidity, just like the old XJ Cherokee, and the new upcoming Tahoe and Yukon are still BOF fullsize SUV's, and so is the upcoming Suburban and Yukon XL

  • @modmatt1
    @modmatt1 12 лет назад

    Plenty of room in the 3rd row? You are eating your knees! Try an Expedition with the independent rear and proper floor height and you see what plenty of 3rd row room is supposed to feel like. Would love to see the new 5.0L in a freshened Expedition and for the Tahoe to get a major update. Wish I could mix the best of all the makes and come up with the perfect large SUV.
