VoicePlay always gets the most amazing guest stars that blend in like they've been there all along. Anthony did some shorts with them as well. I really like how their videos tell a story--this one was like a PattyCake video. In this case, I was thrilled to see Kathy in there. I CANNOT imagine what it's like for her to wrangle all those guys and keep them on track. Geoff and Kathy are so adorable together.
Layne and Tony are so sneaky. The sign above the door of the toy shop says VoicePlay in German. The letter building blocks on the shelf also spell VoicePlay. I know they said they found all the dolls at thrift stores. Kathy Castellucci is the toymaker building her perfect man. Makes you have all the warm feelings the way he looks at his wife.
Was there ever any doubt? Geoff having Italian heritage was the only choice to be the real (boy) man for Kathy.😉 Also the German sign in the beginning says Voice (game) play. Nice reaction as usual.

Just FYI - this song is actually by someone else, not Anthony. I think you might have confused them because JVKE (it’s his song) has a ‘short’ on his channel of Anthony singing this. And I don’t know why there isn’t a link at the end of the video, but Anthony does have a RUclips channel. Just select his whole name and search web. Beautiful reaction, as usual.
Anthony has an amazing voice and he sings beautifully and sounds awesome with the boys (those runs he was doing at the end), but I just had to point out that long note being held out that you pointed out as sounding really nice even though it was sustained for a while and fading into the vibrato....that was actually Eli singing right there. 😁 Also, Geoff wrote the lyrics and music for the bridge of this version of the song. The original doesn't have a bridge.

Geoff created an original bridge for this, starting with ALL: "Golden Hour it's your time to shine. CESAR: "Can you ever really know..." and ending with them leading into that glorious chord on "SHINE!"
Brother, you described THAT one note, in the best possible way, most reactors got it, but you were PRECISELY spot on!!!! To me that note is just described as a Divine note, due to the mixture of those particular notes included, becoming one, making its dynamic so huge, even tho it's such a grounded touch despite the feeling most of us get when we think build-ups are happening. This was the best build-down note i have ever heard, on one of the most touching songs ever created! Really enjoyed your reaction!!!

Also, music nerd breakdown of what exactly is going on at 7:18. What they did there is something I call a "harmonic chord." If you ever listen to Eric Whitacre pieces of music you hear it all the time... Essentially they put the root note of the chord in the bass, then in the upper voices you'll hear the notes of the harmonic series (based on the root) very spaced apart, giving you that floating feeling.

You talked about lip syncing…they don’t. Yes, the singing you hear is pre-recorded, but when they are making the video, they sing along with the recording. So they look like they are really singing simply because they are. 😊

This is originally arranged and sung by JVKE (Jake). He’s the one singing to his piano teacher. Check out the original. It’s pretty good too.
