  • Here's some behind the scenes quad footage from a Huevos 2 film shoot in 1999 featuring Jeremy Schell, Kory Ellis, and Harold Goodman. Shot by H-Bomb Films and Wes Miller, this video shows the days of the Honda TRX 250R and when 2-strokes still ruled the world. These ATV racers air out huge jumps on the motocross track with Kory Ellis eventually crashing after a broken axle.

We had practice one session and most of the guys didn’t hit, so someone convinced them to let us go out for like another lap just to jump it, myself, Nick Nelson, I believe Gerrick Lastra and a few others went out and hit it. So happy I discovered your RUclips channel, I grew up watching the Huevos videos. My dad introduced me to them when I was around 4 and I grew up watching majority of the parts online. Huevos 6 and 7 were the ones he owned on DVD and which have always stuck with me personally. I had an obsession with them for sure at a point due to my dad owning an Suzuki LTZ400 since the year I was born so they’d get me pumped wanting to go out and ride and they still do. That same Suzuki was passed down to me from my dad and Huevos inspired me to put time and my money into it and 20 years later still kicking ass and keeping the quad scene relevant individually. Thanks Wes!

RPM, laeger's, Lonestar racing, Duncan, CT Racing and a few others that I'm drawing a blank on while Ohlins was getting into ATV suspension when PEP was the dominating suspension company speaks volumes to the popularity these bikes had back then. Hey Wes, don't know if you remember me, but I raced with you a few times in the Mickey's back in 88' & 89'. (Todd David #44 Suz.) Yeah, Jim Putman made an awesome chassis. His 1st one was for Derrek Hamilton on the Suz LT 250. That thing had sooo much travel and squatted down low for the turns. He based his design off the trophy trucks, how they would sit so low and when they went off a jump, the suspension would unload and compression dampening would soak up the landings.

I never liked riding quads but my brother did. We were polar opposites as he liked sitdown jetskis and I loved standup jetskis. I always raced two wheels. I did enjoy watching Huevos videos, The top of their quad riders are gnarly. I raced Perris in the. late the '90s and early to mid-2000s. I don't race anymore I just freeride or watch my kids jump. They are big into the FMX so my ranch property is littered with ramps, airbags, foam pits, and a pitbike track. lol.
