- Dennis Deep Cuts #62. I'm back and it feel pretty great. I am talking about my heart attack, how I'm feeling now and I'm also giving you a rundown of all my bands and projects and what's coming up.

We're grateful that you're still here. And so glad that you're feeling better now. Much love to you! And that's terribly traumatic to go through, I'm certain. The older we get, the more we come to terms with our own mortality.
Back in July 2022, I became suddenly very frail and unable to walk, and I was rushed to the ICU. I spent a week in the hospital recovering on several different IVs (2 in each arm, in addition to pill meds every 4 hours), and I was told that I'd come within 24-48 hours of death from organ failure had I not gone to the hospital when I did. And now, just like you mentioned about your situation, I too constantly worry about things like pains, nutrition, activity, and even just sleeping sometimes. I've developed a severe fear of falling asleep and never waking up. So now I listen to my body more carefully.
Looking forward to future creations and future lists.
So grateful you are still with us. You have waaaaay more to give us yet. Stay strong. Put You first, man. Then you can keep giving and creating.
So glad that Fake Names will be writing new songs, i absolutely loved the 2 albums and can't wait to hear more of you guys, simply one of the most inspirational songs and lyrics i've heard in a long time

It's good to see that you're back Dennis, I'm a big fan of refused and the break up is very sad for me. I'm from Mexico and the only time I was able to see you I was at school. I wish you a speedy recovery and that you can resume your other projects without complications to your health.

Waiting to see the dates for the European tour now, but I'll be doing my best to catch a Refused show.

Holy shit. I had a heart attack on January 1st of this year. I am 56 years old It's hereditary for me also, the doctor pretty much said it was my turn. I freak out about any kind of discomfort in my chest now too. Luckily I have a great therapist that I have been seeing for years to help me work through it. I am back to blasting Totalitar on my way to work:) So happy you are doing well. Your content is very enjoyable and you are a thoughtful and engaging person. Best of health to you from here on out.
Yeah, it's gonna take some getting used to. But we are still here so that's pretty fantastic!!!

I find this connection you have with the people that follow your projects simply amazing. Still remember a friend from Brazil telling us (maybe somewhere around 98, 99) that he had contacted you on ICQ. I was shocked to hear of your heart attack, but relieved when you pulled through. Must have been terrifying! Thanks for sharing everything in this video. So happy you are making so much music, cant wait for the new INVSN album. I saw you guys play in Berlin 2019. Incredible stuff! Hopefully Refused can make it back to Australia, saw your last tour hear, thought you would never play again, so im very excited about that.
You're a true inspiration to me, been following your music projects for a long time. T(I)NC had a huge influence on my teenage years, and opened my eyes to a political way of thinking, also stylistically for my design work.

Soooo good to see you back and doing well, Dennis! I’m super stocked to see you and Refused next April in Vancouver. I’ve been a fan of the band ever since hearing SAMURAI in Cyberpunk. I was wondering if you’re planning on introducing any samurai songs on tour?
@@grandwell5402 I don’t think so. Samurai is a bit of a different beast then Refused. But who knows.

Talking about the Refused tour, please consider visiting south america. We're always the last option for bands and is truly a shame.
Vividly remember back in 08/09 many bands from our local scene taking inspiration by the umea records from the 90s.
