Hi, I have the fringes adapter, and can confirm it works well with the 100s and my EF lenses, such as the ef 100mm 2.8 L IS USM. Thanks for starting up your channel.
So true. I do however think a great picture is a great picture. If only posting on Instagram or FB you will not appreciate the difference. But for prints you can see added tonality and resolution especially when printing large for display.
It happens that I have 100S as well for a couple of months now. I use it as my "for fun camera" and it certainly does deliver. At the moment I don't even consider buying native Fuji glass (only if I will find a need of laboratory level corner to corner sharpness...), because of how well most of my Nikon F lenses work through fringer adapter. The designers did a really good and thorough job creating it. It is like finding new character of well known favorite lenses, and I use manual vintage ones as well - M42, Contax/Yashica, Pentax 6x7 with dumb adapters. However the title of my favorite belongs probably to well known Mitakon 65 mm 1.4. Absolute must-have for GFX system.
Hi have the canon 35mm to 350m lens with the Fringer so looking forward to your 35mm film crop reviews i like the effect of major vinyetting lol its the lens performance not the cameras capabilities Facebook has a group of guys who are giving pictures of all addapted lenses for GFX range non GF lens
So far I’ve never been able to find a sharp image via a fringer gfx-ef adapter online. As a result I’m forming the opinion that soft images are the order of the day with it. I notice in your video that you say otherwise. Have you anything that I can look at full res?
WOW!! that was very great of you for taken the time to share your v=review of the Fuji GFX 100s. I'm thinking about getting that GFX 100s with the 80mm f1.7 please Lord help me get one. I have a question? I do mostly do indoor portrait studio with canvas backdrops and studio lights. My question is how do that looks with the GFX? and would you have any images simples so I can see the quality. Thanks in advance.
I bought the Kipon EF to GFX PRO and it won't change any of my canon lense's apertures. Even after updating the firmware. RIP EDIT: I had to update the button layout so the control wheel would change the aperture.
Very informative, thanks. Q Would you get the same IQ results using the Sigma lenses with the 50Sll ? Or do you believe you have to go to 100MP to get that MF effect? Thx
I don't own the Sigma 35 1.4. I thought about purchasing it until I did a few test shots with it in a camera store here in Columbus, Ohio. I found it not to be much different than the 24-35 2.0 Art I own. I didn't feel the added speed of 1.4 was that important for the work I do. If I do get it, I will do a review. Thanks.
I work with FF canon cameras, have lot of ef lenses, i think about gfx100, my question is, when i use ff lenses we have vigneting like use ef-s lenses on ff?
Of course ! The sensor is almost 2 times bigger ! Many FF lenses does not cover GFX sensor ! 85mm 1.2 II USM does cover well with very minimal vignette. 105mm 1.4 covers very well. 50mm 1.2 is so so … you will have black corners . 40mm 2.8 covers well. You will have to make some researches to understand which lens can cover . But with gfx rule of thumb anything lower than 50mm will not cover , except some lenses
Gfx has 35mm crop mode. If vingnetting is a problem then you can crop down and only use the central full frame region of the sensor. Or if the coverage is good you can use the full sensor. When cropped the image performance is similar to Sony A7RIV because Fuji uses Sony’s med format version of the ff sensor. Pixels are the same.
Enjoyed your first video! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Great video! Your photos at 1:49 and 2:19 look fantastic. Thanks for the review of the Sigma and EF lenses. Good info.

Thank you. Expect more content coming soon.
Great portraits - May thanks for the tips.
Many Thanks!
The only folks who say full frame is the same... *are people who haven't shot medium format digital*

Hi! I have 100s too and fringer for Nikon. It is great!

Great video sir and your images are just wonderful.
Thank you sir!
Great video, and images. Have you used the Canon 50mm f1.2 L, or 85mm f1.2L lenses on the GFX?

Thanks for the info. I will check that out on FB.
Sharpness is not all that counts in a lens, there are many other variables that make lenses tools for greater purpose.

Ps. please do more videos with GFX please.
Thanks.
More are on the way. Thank you.

I will provide some in my next few videos.
Thanks for the info. How does the autofocus on the 85 sigma compare to the native fuji 80 1.7?
Auto focus is solid with the Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art Lens. I have no complaints.
good

the 80mm 1.7 is a 63mm equivalent do you know what the focal lent on the sigma 85mm would be on the 100S
Multiply the focal 35mm length by .79 so the 85mm will be 67mn on the GFX.

I think either camera will give you great results. I do however like the higher resolution from the GFX100S.
Hi, have you ever use Sigma 35mm Art 1.4 Canon on GFX, can you make a video review about that lense on GFX to compare with GF 30mm or GF 45mm ?

@@FujiGFXCameraUser Thanks, and I will wait for your update review with that zoom lense :-)
Very good video, do you know of a SonyFE lens adapter to GFX ?
I do not.

@@RedShiftedDollar say I wanted to use sigma 35mm f1.4 with my gfx. Would I need to to switch to 35mm mode? 😅 thanks in advanced
The amount just depends on the lens. In many cases it is minimal and can be corrected in post.
