Literally bought the Nikon to Fuji Fringer adapter 3 days ago for my Sigma 150-600mm lens. It has been stellar so far with my testing. Got it second hand on eBay for $185!
@@rachel.isabelle are you talking about the USB dock that updates the firmware? If so, depress the switch on the side and rotate it off. It might need to be rotated in the opposite direction of what you are used to.
@@rachel.isabelle ohhhh, that's all part of the Fringer adapter and it is not removable. Don't try to do it! I never use that tripod mount that is built-in.
@@eugenegirshtel damn, ok thank you! I didn't realise it was gonna be there when I bought it..guess I'll just have to deal with it. It's so annoying as it extends out longer than the camera and I can't put the camera down evenly lol
I switched from Nikon to Fuji earlier this year, and this adapter was one of the first things I bought to use my old lenses. If they're on the compatibility list, and especially if they're name brand Nikon lenses, they work great. Anything not on the list doesn't work at all, but that's not unexpected. Both Nikon and Canon have some really great and cheap lenses that can fill a lot of gaps for Fuji users, so this thing is great.
Thanks, Chris.I had the Fringer Pro adaptor when I first started my switch from Canon to Fuji. I got the XT-3 and sold my Canon 5D4 and kept some of my Canon lenses and it worked just fine for me. Over the course of the first year of using the XT-3 I ended up selling the Fringer and Canon lenses and going totally Fuji. I've never looked back. have a great weekend!
I can absolutely confirm your recommendation! I used the Fringer Adapter on a T2 +T4 with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 and the EF 24-105mm f/4 with no problems and I am very satisfied.
Ive been using a Fringer adaptor to mount my F mount lenses on my XS10. It generally tends to work quite well, with one or two exceptions. Autofocus is definately a bit slower and I have one Tamron F mount that really struggles with autofocus when mounted to the Fuji via the adaptor, but for the most part it tends to be a good little piece of kit.
Also tried the Fringer with Canon. Worked great (as well as on the Canon DSLR). However, it does add some bulk. I ended up deciding to return the adapter, sell the Canon lenses (fav were the stabilized 50mm prime and 50-250mm zoom), and spend a bit extra for the better quality and less bulk/hassle of using quality mid tier Fuji zooms and great primes. Currently loving the 70-300mm zoom and the 23mmF2 prime the most, but also have a few others. So far only Fuji I’ve been disappointed with is the old 27mm pancake. Love the look but it’s relatively slow and noisy to autofocus. I’d take my 23mmF2 primes over it any day, little bigger but quiet, fast, and all it’s movement is internal.
Some Lenses i recommend using with the Fringer EF-FX Pro 2 Adapter are the Canon 50mm 1.8 STM, the Canon EF 10-18mm 4.5-5.6 STM and the Canon 55-250 STM 4.0-5.6. I although tried using Macro-Adapters with it and it works. The Fringer EF-FX Pro 2 is a realy nice Adapter and worth every penny if you have Canon Lenses left.
This is exactly the information I have been looking for. I have a couple EF-L lenses which will work with the Fringer. The Viltrox appears to be a disappointment and definitely not worth losing light even at a discount price. The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Excellent video ! Fringer , Metabones lens adapter are great for Sigma , Canon , Tamron lenses adopted to Fuji aps-c cameras as well as for Fuji new medium format cameras ! But will you give us in your next video . The difference aspect ratio of a full frame lens from a aps-c lens ! Thanks !
Fringes adapter I have been using for awhile for my Nikon lenses to be used on my Fuji XT3 and as you present it does work very well. I appreciate your informative presentation
I bought one and returned it. I was hoping to get some options for wildlife lenses so I rented the Canon 100-400, 70-200 and a Sigma 500mm f/4. Over 2000 photos in a test matrix over 3 days. With stationary subjects below 100mm it was fine. A little hunting - but useable. Over 100mm and especially with moving subjects it was utter garbage. Hit rates for BiF dropped from 85% with the Fuji 100-400 to less than 60% with the adapted glass. Ultimately giving up on Fuji after trying this adapter and then hoping the new super zoom would be decent (or that they would produce a 400 f/4 with the optical refinement of the 200 f/2). I wish I had your results as there is so much to love about Fuji - but different use cases I guess yield different results. Thanks for the channel BTW. Love the enthusiasm. I still have my GFX 100s and 50s so I will keep tuning in.
I bought the Fringer before I bought the camera. I wanted to keep my 7D2 as a backup and keep all my lenses because there are no 1.8 zooms on Fuji. After testing on a friends T4 it was all systems go to swap to a Fuji body 😊 I use my Sigma 10-20, 18-35 1.8, 50-100 1.8, 70-200 2.8 and the 150-600C without a problem 😁
i use my XT4 and now XH2s with the fringer and Nikon 500 f5.6 pf lens for wildlife. few minor issues, if the VR is on then the image review is delayed for some reason. Switch it of and it is instant, the EVF is not as bright but works perfectly. The Focus speed and accuracy is as good as my Fuji 100-400. I have used it on the Nikon 300 f2.8 VRii, one of the sharpest lenses on the market and it is mind blowing. It is heavy, but the 300 f2.8 with TC 1.4 from Nikon was my main wildlife lens for many years when I used Nikon big bodies like the D3s, D4, D5 and D810 and D850. it gives my a 630mm f4 lens on the Fuji body. Yes it is 3,2 kg with the XH2s with Battery grip, but the image quality is worth every bit. the 500 pf f5.6 is the same weight as the Fuji 100-400, so here is my question, why can Fuji not produce a 400 f5.6 prime lens. Nikon produced a 400 f4.5 lens the size and weight of the 100-400, the 300 f4 pf lens that weigh less than the 50-140 f2.8
Hi! I do have a 300mm as well. How do you like it on xh2s, the eye focus work well? I am thinking to get the xh2 for more resolution, but the stacked sensor in xh2s is a good idea as well:( otherwise, i think the only option to used my 300mm is to get the z9 for the best performance than z7ii, z6ii.
I have the standard version of the fringer EF-FX mount adapter It doesn't have an aperture ring, but it's $100 cheaper than the pro version. I use it on my XT4 with a sigma 150-600 C. While I would like to have the aperture ring, I don't find it all that inconvenient to change the aperture with the front dial on the camera.
I bought both used Viltrox EF-FX1 ($60) and used Viltrox EF-FX2 Speedbooster ($100) for my XT3 (). They are focussing well although not as perfect as Fringer. What I found is that we need to be a bit patient as the Viltrox adapters take more time than the native lens in focussing. Viltrox does better on EF than EFS lense, and even better with the Canon L-series. The image quality for stills are perfect. Not yet try to update the available firmware; I wish the firmware correct the autofocusing. Hope this information useful for Fujifilm lovers who needs less pricey Fringer. Thank you Chris, you make every one loves Fujifilm more and more.
With the insane price of Fuji's native long telephoto lenses, the fringer is basically the best option for shooting wildlife on Fuji. I recently got a sigma 150-600 + the fringer pro 2 adapter for about £550, compared to almost £2k for fuji's 150-600!
I shoot jazz concerts with a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 and wildlife (mostly birds) with a Nikon-mount Sigma 150-600. I've adapted them to my X-T3 with the Fringer NF-FX, and it's a total game-changer. My D7100 is collecting dust and might just get sold to make way for a new Fuji body. Pro tip (sort of): The NF-FX adapter has a "projection" on its underside. (If you have one, you know what I mean.) If you use the vertical grip, as I do, take it off before you remove the Fringer. At first I tried to remove the adapter without taking off the grip, and I'm very lucky I didn't damage anything.
I had the Canon version, but sold it. I had issues with Continuous AF with the Tamron and Sigma 150-600s on an X-T3. Single shot AF was fine, maybe a tiny bit slower than the Fuji 100-400 with t/c (and you'd really have to nitpick), but continuous was unusable. Any other glass I tried was fine with no issues at all. Just the long stuff in continuous (which for what I shoot was a problem). Hopefully others can provide better experience history.
Fringer Pro II adapter it was my first "Fujinon" lens, coming from Canon I noticed that at that time 2019 there was many problems to focus correctly but after 3 years working with that adapter I just can say, it is the best adapter ever made, one of the most important things it is the aperture ring and they are constantly upgrading firmwares (Viltrox it doesn't). So, if my Canon EF 85mm f:1.2L (mark I) it did not worked correctly in 2019 December (no Ibis in my X-H1) and no way to focus in a Sunny Day, in 2022 February they put a firmware upgrade that changed everything, fast AF-C and accurate, even at f:1.2 and Ibis working, that combo it is great in a X-H1 or in a X-H2. Then I got great results using Tamron 100-400mm VC and 70-210mm f:4 VC. Sigma and Tamron works great with this adapter, so I tested the Sigma 8-16mm, the 10-20mm f:3.5 EX DC and the 17-50mm 2.8 OS, the first one not bad, a great option to a Fujinon 8-16mm 2.8, the second one not bad but optically the Fujinon 10-24mm OIS it is way better and the third one it working better than the other ones. But finally I sold it to buy Fujinon lenses. Right now I am just using my 85L and the Sigma 100-400 but during that time I was buying Fujinon lenses, smaller and probably I am going to sell everything to be just a XF user without adapters even if there are some lenses that they are not still available in the Fujifilm ecosystem, like a 70-200mm 2.8 (I prefer that reach to the 50-140 one) or a 70-200mm f:4 or a 135mm f:2 (or similar), not sure to sell that great adapter, because one of the big things of using Canon EF mount lenses it is the fact that you can use it in a GFX 100s with similar results with the GFX-EF adapter made by Fringer too. So, in my opinion if you are using big XF cameras like X-H2 (and X-H1) or others, that Fringer adapter it is great, the best option ever.
Thanks for the update on these adapters. It's worth pointing out that all of these adapters have firmware that can be updated. I was only able to get the Viltrox adapter locally and have found that new(er) firmware has significantly improved the performance of my lens, which is a very old Sigma AF 400mm f5.6 which is not on either manufacturers supported list. At this point, I'd rather save the AU500 price tag of replacing my Viltrox adapter for the purchase of a new(er) lens.
Got one, It's great, used to use it on my XT2 with ef 24-105 L, Nifty Fifty, Sigma 90 macro and my Sigma 150-500 and it worked a treat, I have now offloaded all my Canon lenses and DSLR's in favour of going all out mirrorless, thinking of selling it now as have no use for it and want to get a teleconverter
I own the xpro3 with an adapt fd 50mm canon lens (70’s vintage) and the results are superb. Almost film-like with a black pro mist 1/4 filter. And the adapter was only $15.
So, I had the Viltrox adapter and never "loved" it. Found the AF laggy and hunted too much to take on any shoots. I also had a "Commlite" AF adapter that I felt was similar to the Viltrox. I will have to explore the Fringer Pro. Thank you!
I have had success with the Fringer Canon EF to Fuji X adapter. It works as well, or possibly better than the native auto focus on my Fujifilm X-T2. I have had so much success with it, that I have picked up a few Tamron wide range lenses for under $100. The pricing of Canon EF compatible lenses is far cheaper that Fujifilm that the Fringer adapter, has paid itself back several times.
I use the Nikon F-Fuji-X adapter even in speed demanding situations - The Nikkor 300 mm f4 PF ED works amazingly well on fuji for birds in flight… looking forward to try this combo on the new Fuji X-H2S soon!
I’ve been using the fringer pro on my sigma 150-600mm works great happy with the shots on my Fujifilm XT3. This combo saved me a lot of money on the Fujifilm 150-600mm 👍🏼
I have several nice EF and EF-S lenses that I use with my beater camera, the Cannon SL3/250D. I think the Fringer is a great way to expand my limited Fuji lens library for not a lot of money. I just order the Pro III version and I can't wait to test out my Tamron SP 70-300/4-5.6 Di VC USD and the nifty 50 on my X-T30 II.
I use it from two years for canon, I had many canon lenses for cinema camera and work fine for me. With canon ef autofocus is faster than most of ef-s that I have. Work fine with a lots of lenses, canon and sigma. Great adapter.
I have the Fringer EF to FX and I also like how it adapts my Canon lenses. I also have the Viltrox speed booster, but I use that mainly with my vintage lenses, which are manual focus - also using an M42 to EF adapter, of course. Have you ever thought about trying vintage lenses? The Helios and Takumar lenses are great. And the Auto Sears or Chinio 55mm f1.4 lenses are a steal at their price range. They're essentially rebranded Tomiokas.
I looked at these when I dropped Canon. Decided to sell or give away my lenses and go all in with Fuji. No regrets. The only lens I was worried about was my 70-200f4, but the 55-200 Fuji outperforms it by a mile.
I use the sigma 18-35 and finger, I love it although the af completely failed me when I met this couple with a couple of parrots I wanted to capture, was kind of a spare of the moment thing. I was up close, there was very little movement, broad daylight, it should've easily focused but every shot was out of focus. I don't what it was about this specific scenario but nearly every shot was blurry. It worked great in every other situation I tried it with though.
Great info Chris. I actually use a Metabones adapter for use with my ancient Nikkor F, Q and older lenses using manual focus. The video you did on how to use focus peaking on Fujifilm cameras has made it easier to focus 50+ year old glass than it is my ancient Nikon F2. Great!!! Thanks you as always Chris.
I use vintage Nikkor lenses on my X-T3 often myself. Recently got a tilt shift that works great. The focus peaking works so great with any lens, as long as the lens is sharp enough
That Sigma Art 18-35 1.8 is really great for videography/cinematography for that constant 1.8 aperture while producing sharp results. Wish I could've retained my Nikon version (had to sell it with my old Nikon Body) but the AF Adapter is as expensive as a used earlier Fujifilm body, my only complain about it was the size and weight when you put it onto a Fujifilm body (I tried a dumb manual adapter for it while putting a piece of paper to open up the aperture lever on Nikon Mount)
That blooper at the end made me gasp and cringe lol 😆 thanks for the tip, homie! I have a few Canon lenses that I've ignored because my new found love for Fujifilm. Awesome to know I can still use them with this adapter!
Great video, I use both the Canon and the Nikon to Fuji Fringer adapter. They both work great, with a verity of lenses. And widening the selection of lenses I can enjoy with my X-T4
I have been eyeing this for a long time ( and a suitable review!) - cheaped out for manual version which is alot cheaper and works really well with the x-t4 and IBIS, but after seeing this I WANT ONE. Thx Chris! Another great fast-friday.
Good revue!, I confirm the great job of the Fringer Pro II with Canon and Sigma lenses. The only fault is the absence of the weather gasket....maybe in the version III ?
I have the EF-FX Pro 2, I got it mainly because of cost. I realised that I could get the adapter with the Canon EFS 10-18 STM, (used) for way cheaper than the Fujifilm 10-18 alone, and it gave me access to look out for any bargain used Canon lenses, I also have the Canon EFs 24mm STM, Canon EF-s 18-135mm & Canon 85mm f1.8 now. They feel the same as using the native fuji lenses (18-55, 55-200mm). Then Fringer eventually brought out the Nikon adapter NF-FX for AF-S lenses, so I got that to use with my old Nikon Af-S 35mm Nikkor 1.8, 50mm f1.4 and 70-300mm lenses. You forgot to mention they update the firmware on the adapters from time to time, for free, which is a simple as connecting the usb cable and dragging the updated file to the adapter from your PC.
How do the images look with the Nikon glass? My experience using a cheaper manual focus adapter is that the Nikon glass rendered better images on my XT3 and XT20 than my more expensive Fuji glass.
Yo compre este adaptador para mi Fuji y he de comentar que estoy usando todos mis objetivos para Nikon (fue mi anterior cámara) y no he tenido ningun problema.
Hi Chris! It Crossed my mind to buy a 500mm for motorsports, where I still hope that Fuji produces one, as the 200mm. Love primes and for the long reach the xf100-400mm does an amazing job. Time is a good advisor. So, will keep on waiting! Wondering if anyone ever used ae.g. 400mm 2.8 or 500mm Cannon with the adaptor? Brilliant and hard work from you Chris! Thank You for the best supportive channel on YT!
Excellent review of the fringer lens adapted to the Sigma 30 and 85mm art lenses to the Fuji X series cameras ! Have you considered making a tutorial on the Fuji GFXr with the Sigma art lenses , with Fringer lens adapter ? Thanks !
The fringer might be a good add as I own the 24-104 F4 Sigma art lens which is a beauty of a lens, the adapter is cheaper then Fuji offerings natively lens wise.
I got the Viltrox EF-FX2 Speedbooster and honestly all I can say is "the auto focus is complete shit." 😁 It's almost unusable to me for the most part. Struggles to acquire focus with that annoying auto focus noise. 🤦🏽♂️ As much as I enjoy the extra level of aperture and focal length reduction that comes with it, I always default to using Manual focus everytime I pop that thing on my X-T4. Hopefully maybe you would try it out in the future and make a video about it. 😂 Great videos as always. Cheers!
Thanks, Chris, for awesome and fast review of the Fringer & Viltrox Since last 1 year I'm using viltrox adapter trying on native canon 18-135 and some Samyang lanes but it fails to auto focus. Fringer looks promising n will try. Thanks again
The weak point of the Fringer is that it does not support ibis well. For Canon lenses with OIS, it turns off ibis and defers to the lens, which is OK, but it won't allow ibis with Canon lenses that don't have IS, such as my old 70-210. It also won't allow ibis with totally manual (no electrical contacts) lenses.
VERY interesting....because, I have the Sigma Art 18-35 and the Sigma Art 50-100. Do you think the 50-100 ist also a good choise for the Fuji??? The combination with the X-H2 must be GREAT. Ok -- but -- now I need 2500€ for this fun 🙄
Been using the Fringer with my Nikon 300mm f\4 PF lens on my XT3 from when it first became available, can't compare it with Fuji glass as there is no comparable lens (Grrrrrrr) but it works brilliantly
I used this adapter a few years ago with canon lenses on my Fuji camera but the autofocus was below average it was okish on single point but still missed on occasions and it’s not worth the headache and best to use Fuji lenses
I saw someone hacked both Viltrox (Speedbooster) + Fringer Pro II adapter , you'd have the best of both world. Not sure if the lens focal length will affect the stabilization thou.
Thinking about getting this plus the Sigma 150-600 mm for Canon EF. It's 849+379=1228€ vs Fujis 150-600 mm costing 2000€ and being super slow and rather soft on the long end.
I got rid of my pro Nikon lenses but still have a few lower end Nikon lenses around from when I switched over to Fuji. Unlike the Canon adapter, the Fringer NF-FX Nikon adapter looks bulky with that extension on the bottom and seems like it would affect your handling. I must say this though, I have a Nikon adapter from K&F Concept. It's only manual focus and currently costs around $30. It seems to me that even the lower end Nikon lenses I kept around render sharper and more contrasty photos than the more expensive native Fuji lenses I have.
I had a totally different experience with the Nikon version. I found it basically unusable. On a 70 -200 (on the approved list) it was always hunting for focus. In fact I set the camera down for a bit and it was continuously trying to focus and drained the battery. Maybe there is a firmware update for this.
From my experience the Viltrox adapter doesn't work well with STM lenses, it works better on lenses with USM motors. Couldn't find a Fringer pro adapter in my country, so I had to deal with Viltrox's unreliability. It still gets the job done btw.
We use a Sigma 18-35 for video with the Viltrox adapter, and the autofocus is absolutely horrendous. Thankfully for 99% of the work we do we use manual focus, but I would not recommend the Viltrox adapter.
I have the nikon to fuji fringer adapter and I like it a lot, unfortunately there is only 1 version for nikon which has an integrated non removable tripod foot which doesn't look good on small bodies.....
@@mr.b4444 nevertheless I would buy it again, and by the way, if the lens has image stabilization it does work with the adapter (but not in conjunction with ibis if the camera body has got that too...)
it help me thank you . have Nikon lenses but recently I was like no brain bought gfx 100 but no fuji lenses . so I was searched a lot of different adapter
Good to know, I've always wanted the Canon 135mm f2 lens, which has such a sterling rep for sharpness and bokeh. A 200mm f2.8? equivalent would be awesome.
Not meaning to make you sad but the 135's reputation is rather outdated, it's a very old lens, about 25 years old. You should check the dates on whatever reviews you've read about it. Consider that your Fuji has high much higher pixel density than any Canon DSLR, so you might not be satisfied with wide open sharpness. If you can afford the extra cost and weight, Sigma 135 1.8 ART is significantly better optically.
I wish micro four thirds also had a proper adapter like Fringer that actually worked in C-AF, neither Metabones nor Viltrox actually supports PDAF which is, frustrating.
I bought one of those adaptors when I changed to a Fuji camera. It has worked very well. You have me wondering about how they say their company name. When I was a kid, we had neighbors with that surname... and they pronounced it like "finger" only with an "r" thrown in. In my mind I've been pronouncing it that way since I got the adaptor so was wincing every time you said it like He-Man's sidekick. :-P ;-) You might be right though. :-D
Thank you for this review. I am using Fringer with Nikon Prime lenses and I do not know why, but I find the colour, contrast amd overall some softness when using these lenses on fuji with Fringer adaptor. Used Nikon 85 1.4, 50 1.2, 300 F4. any idea why colours are not as good as with fuji lenses and why the pictures look soft? thank you
that is interesting to hear, i hope you manage to fix that issue. my nikon glass works well (17-55 , both of my copies are sharp when autofocus is in AF C or AF s) i also have the 12-24mm f4 and 14-24 f2.8
I tried the Fringer NF-FX (ie., Nikon to Fuji) adapter, but had poor results. I tried both my 80-400 AF-S G lens and 300mm f4 PF lens and had significant issues. AF was quite slow and hunted a lot, and for some reason my X-T3 became very sluggish. It took over a second to get the back LCD screen to operate (image review, or menu diving), and using the LCD screen was slow in general. Everything was up to date, firmware wise, and lenses and body were clean. No clue what the issue was. Did I get a bad copy? It'd be great if a review of the Nikon Fringer adapter could be made; I'd be curious, and I'm sure others would be too, if it works as well as the canon version. *edit typos
Are you using the XT3 or the XT4? I just purchased the 4 about a year ago and have been very impressed with the camera but looking for more lens options and looking at going to adapter route.

I purchased a fuji xt3 a few years ago and I've never used it , I'm new to photography so this is my first camera . Im wanting to film wildlife , Deer ,elk , coyotes etc as well as eagles while floating down the rivers around here. Would I be better off with the Fuji 100-400 or should I grab this adapter and that new Nikon lens . I believe its a 160 -600 Any thoughts would be appreciated
Do we know if the Fringer Pro and Pro II work well with the XH2S? I use both my Pro and Pro II with my EF lenses and three X-T3s and it works quite well. Thinking about picking up the XH2S but I might not unless we know if the Fringer works well with it.

Hi, can you kindly inform if works well tracking moving subjects (for photo and video)? THANK YOU!
How good is it with sports photography if you know?
I also have the Fringer EF-FX Pro 2... would buy it again any time.
Viltrox ef/efs to emount sony (EF/Efs - Nex IV) af super fast when use lens canon USM, viltrox EF - Fx af is slow maybe because af systen X prosesor
The addition of the aperture ring on the adapter is brilliant! Seems like you get the best of all worlds.
Can you test the Nikon version?
Wish I had kept some of my Canon lenses now! Thanks for the videos!
Hey pal2tech , it would be great if you could test the fringer on the xh2-s to see how well the AF performs in video mode !
Use my Fringer with my Canon EF and Sigma Art Canon mounts. Love it.
Just thought about getting this ring... Oh well!
Thanks for the content!
You have a magic in reading our minds...was waiting for a video like this and here it pops out !! Cheers
I looked at these when I dropped Canon. Decided to sell or give away my lenses and go all in with Fuji. No regrets. The only lens I was worried about was my 70-200f4, but the 55-200 Fuji outperforms it by a mile.
Just wondering why you say it outperforms the canon version
@@OozyImp As sharp, better contrast and better IS, sharp edge to edge.
Try the XF70-300. My copy destroyed my XF55-200 in every way. Sold my 200 the next day.
@@bigd7696 I'll check one out. Thanks
I love those adapters I use my Canon glass my tx30 and it works fantastic, I also have a few vintage lenses that I use
And widening the selection of lenses
I can enjoy with my X-T4
I have been eyeing this for a long time ( and a suitable review!) - cheaped out for manual version which is alot cheaper and works really well with the x-t4 and IBIS, but after seeing this I WANT ONE. Thx Chris! Another great fast-friday.
Since we are talking about adapters now. Is it possible that you would review the Metabones AF speedbooster for Canon EF to Fuji X?
This would be awesome!
Good revue!, I confirm the great job of the Fringer Pro II with Canon and Sigma lenses. The only fault is the absence of the weather gasket....maybe in the version III ?
I bought it on your recommendation for my Nikon lenses. Thank you!
Your work is spectacular. Keep it like this.
Thank you Chris so much for your great content. Greetings from Southern Germany.
Fringer + Sigma 18-35 Art it's one of the best video combo for fuji
Perfectly covered everything in this video, thanks
Excellent review of the fringer lens adapted to the Sigma 30 and 85mm art lenses to the Fuji X series cameras ! Have you considered making a tutorial on the Fuji GFXr with the Sigma art lenses , with Fringer lens adapter ? Thanks !
The fringer might be a good add as I own the 24-104 F4 Sigma art lens which is a beauty of a lens, the adapter is cheaper then Fuji offerings natively lens wise.
I got the Viltrox EF-FX2 Speedbooster and honestly all I can say is "the auto focus is complete shit." 😁
It's almost unusable to me for the most part. Struggles to acquire focus with that annoying auto focus noise. 🤦🏽♂️
As much as I enjoy the extra level of aperture and focal length reduction that comes with it, I always default to using Manual focus everytime I pop that thing on my X-T4.
Hopefully maybe you would try it out in the future and make a video about it. 😂
Great videos as always. Cheers!
I’ve used one for about a year on my xt3. IQ is great and focus is good except in low light where it struggles.
To clarify I used the fringer
Thanks, Chris, for awesome and fast review of the Fringer & Viltrox
Since last 1 year I'm using viltrox adapter trying on native canon 18-135 and some Samyang lanes but it fails to auto focus. Fringer looks promising n will try. Thanks again
I wish we had that Fringer X-Mount here in Africa that would be very handy for it's easy to hire Canon glass for Fuji cameras than to get Fuji lenses.
how do you keep that energy up. hats off to you.
Just what I needed almost put my Canon lenses up for sale.
welcome back !
I do Nature photography with My xt3 + fringer+ Sigma 150-600 for Nikon, and it works awesome, and Focus fast enough to catch moving animals
TYVM, incredible the way you unboxed it in my mind
Worth any penny. With the 2.20 firmware the EF 200mm f/1.8 works as good as on any Canon camera.
I was so waiting for this kind of review
Thank you so much, for all your wonderful Knowledged and advice about Fujifilm💯👍😎
holyyyy that butterfly knife skills
be interested to see a review on the K&F concept version
Chris you’re the greatest!!!
That sounds terrible, hope it's a firmware issue. Ive read that the FW Updates are good though. Hope that's the issue for you 🙌
I had a similar issue with both my 80-400 nikon lens (recent version) and 300m PF lens.
I was wondering what that bulky thing was. It definitely does not look elegant and the reason I have not purchased the Nikon adapter.
@@mr.b4444 nevertheless I would buy it again, and by the way, if the lens has image stabilization it does work with the adapter (but not in conjunction with ibis if the camera body has got that too...)
Converting to Fuji after many years of Canon use. New lenses cost more than my hobby is worth. I am looking at the X-H2 to replace an old Canon.
Do both adapters have the aperture ring?
Love your vid. Still thinking to buy one for my xt2😊😊
it help me thank you . have Nikon lenses but recently I was like no brain bought gfx 100 but no fuji lenses . so I was searched a lot of different adapter
@@nikoolix Thank you for your input. Will look at the Sigma. A friend of mine has the Canon which I might be able to pry away from him. 😆
Such great, to-the-point videos. Thank you.
Do you know if it is already compatible with the fujifilm x-t5?
Hi Chris!!! I want to thank you very much for your great work
after I subscribed to your channel I globally changed all my camera settings.Fuji XT-2
I really want to buy,Fuji XT-4 but I can't do it right now.but your advice brings this time closer closer)))
Again Thank you very mstch !!!
Awesome! Would love to see a speed booster test
I believe its a 160 -600
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Do we know if the Fringer Pro and Pro II work well with the XH2S? I use both my Pro and Pro II with my EF lenses and three X-T3s and it works quite well. Thinking about picking up the XH2S but I might not unless we know if the Fringer works well with it.
Is there a metabones speed booster for Fuji X mount to EF or RF or E mounts?
You mentioned that you can also get a Fringer to adapt with Nikon… Have you tried that and if so, does it work as well as the canon adaptor on Fuji?
