Looking to get new clubs. Had my Adam's golf irons for about 10 yrs. I hit mid 80s in a round of golf, do you think I should get these or go for AP1s. I found a barely used demo set for $575
Enjoyed the review Andy, numbers looked good and a drop of 4-5 yards on a bad shot isn't too bad either. Will be looking forward to reviews for the rest of the range, and to see where you think the AP3 will fit - more and more combo sets popping up, but looking at titleist's specs they vary in loft between the range so maybe still square pegs in round holes??? Mizuno seem to have done a better job for potential combos with similar lofts in the MP18's (but then ruined it for lefties, like me, by not making all bats available in LH 😭).
There was plenty of help with poorer strikes. This is a really good point you make about trying to mix sets when the lofts are not in line, I hadnt thought about it and its an excellent spot in my opinion.

My regular 7 iron is around 165 Ian (MP5) these clubs are stronger lofted and the face is definately hot. The other consideration is the false environment, we all swing freely in the range so numbers will be different to those on the course. Thxs for comments
I have been watching you for a while now. I think you should drop the « average golfer » title. You are definitely not an average golfer as long as you hit the ball. You are most certainly above an average golfer. My friends (between 45 and 55 years old) are average golfers and we don’t carry a 5 iron 160 and up nor drive the ball 230 and up carry which is above the average male golfer stats. In my opinion, with you swing and stats...... you are good.... very good!!! Believe me. Ps. Of course, I love your reviews. Thanks from Quebec CANADA.
Hi, always enjoy your videos and give you a thumbs-up, just some corrective criticism the music is totally unnecessary it's pretty loud and distorted causing to constantly have to change the volume, and also would be great if you could mention what shafts are in all those irons. Hi Andy, interesting video I'm just wondering about some of the numbers, average roll out 15 yards(I think) yet spin around 5400(again I think that's correct) seems they roll out a long way with the spin on the high side for yourself, is this because it's hitting a fairway instead of a virtual green? Would it be possible to have a virtual Green and test them again to see how quick they stop. Great review and the foregolf seems a much better set up. #Tagers
Its a good question, I would have to put them head to head as not hit the G400 for a few weeks, my immediate thought is the looks and feel from these was slightly better.
The Average Golfer I was choosing between the two of these and the feel of the AP3 blew away the G400. The price difference was a tough decision but I went with the AP3

It seems affordable, but is it accurate? How do the numbers on the SkyTrak compare to your numbers on the course in terms of carry/rollout/accuracy? Thanks and loving the videos and the new studio!
First of all I am very jealous, house with simulator sounds perfect! I have run skytrak alongside Flight scope and numbers very similar. I will be trying Trackman in the weeks ahead to compare also. In terms of numbers on course, I think there are so many variants that are not measured via a simulator such as ground conditions, wind etc and we all swing a lot more freely in a range than on the 1st tee! My overall thoughts on Sky trak are that it is excellent and great value.
I was going to go for i200s, have had ping clubs for years..... but went along to a Titleist fitting evening and I am now waiting on delivery of my shiny custom fit AP3s from 5i to PW + 3 Vokey wedges. Skint but excited!
Thanks to Titleist AP3 I have fallen in love with the game of golf again! I’m in my mid 40’s and I don’t see myself as a better player. I broke 90 last year but will probably not break 80. My swing speed is moderate and I hit the 7 iron around 130m/140y. I chose True Temper AMT Red Regular shaft because I like it’s lightness and high ball flight. Used to play TaylorMade’s game improvement irons like RSi 1 and Burner 2.0 but I learned to hate the strong lofts, heavy weights and clumpiness of a game improvement iron. With AP3 I can even launch the 4 iron from the turf without any difficulties. With TaylorMade I couldn’t even get decent shots with my 5 iron...
I just bought them after playing a year of golf! And they just feels a lot better than my previous set of clubs, Nike Slingshot - wich of cause was not fitted for me. The Titleist AP3 are incredibly nice to play with - those were of cause fitted for me at my local shop, www.golfexperten.dk! You must visit for a good game of golf at Ishøj Golfbane in Denmark, it would be a lot of fun.
Why am I here looking at a 3 year old review? Well I have an opportunity to get a preowned set that is practically mint. Guess the person didn’t golf much. I like the new t200s but they are too expensive. So I am looking now at reviews of ap3 but this reviewer is a way better golfer than me so I will look at others who have tested these sticks.

Adrian Holmes I think the G400 would be more forgiving but the AP3 had better feel and looks and still lots of forgiveness

There are three AMT S300 shafts. Red,Black and White. Red being the lightest,black is the standard weight and white being the heaviest.
There seems to be a lot of good clubs coming out! Might use the big 40 in November as excuse to buy a new set!!

Either your swing has greatly improved or you've found the best fit for you. Never seen so many down the line. Play them!
I have been striking the ball fairly well the last few months but you have to acknowledge the tech in the latest irons has been superb.
You obviously can hit this club well. It will be interesting to see what clubs you decide upon that will beat Liam on a regular basis!

Why do we ignore the "stronger lofted" statements people say? It's not stronger lofted, they put a P on a 9 iron and so on.

This is NOT an average golfer. An average golfer gets 135 yards fly with a 7 iron.
