I was really excited to see what Mew was setting up for and then it just exploded. Got quite the laugh out of me!
Seemed like my best strategy since that overpowered Mewtwo was annihilating all my mons.

Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness and coliseum were ahead of their time in the Pokémon battling scene! I love these games still. It’s be cool seeing the original red final team like Pikachu, Snorkax, Laprass, Charizard, blastoise, venosaur

Colosseum AI was insane
For those of you looking for a rom hack, I've heard of Pokemon Grand Colosseum. I dunno what it changes, but it adds the fairy type and some stuff. This looks cool too. Once I sit and fiddle with Grand Colosseum I'd love to see this become a thing.
It changes the trainers with different pokemons, fairy type added and gen 4 phys/spec split.
Version 3.0 adds Paldean Tauros

It really is such a damn shame that we didn't get any more games like these, Pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale Of Darkness.
Shadow Pokemon are a thing in Pokemon Go, which is a nice touch, but it's just not quite the same thing.
It sure is. Pokemon Colosseum and XD were under Genius Sonority. If only Nintendo would work today with them, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl would've looked different!. A shame it is indeed.

I also found it pretty cool that all battles were double battles as I feel like it made battles a bit more interesting (it probably also helped that opponents at least seemed more competent with some semblance of strategy at times with things like weather or earthquake with levitate/flying/protect or explosion with protect compared with the usual of having a team full of one type of pokemon)

Agreed Colosseum and XD were the GOATs Colosseum is what actually got me into the series, it’s a shame it’s not going to get an official remake anytime soon

Agreed. As a starter these games Colo and XD as well as Battle Revolution were developed by Genius Sonority and not GameFreak. I do believe that's why they feel so different than the mainline pokemon games.

As much as I want to rage on this for immediately resorting to uber spamming and item antics, the new character portraits for all the pokemon are pretty sick and a large improvement over the originals.

Yeah I agree with you man the portraits for all the pokemon still look sick to this day. Colosseum still holds up today compared to the mainline games.

First I thought you were running a mod that introduced the physical/special split because you used shadow ball after calm mind but then Celebi survived the shadow ball.
Celebi survived only because he's full maxed IV and EV. I did implement the phys/spec split.

Thank you very much man! Agree, the custom Red model looks sick compared to the standard Red model in the game. This is actually something I've created exclusively myself by messing with the code.

Awesome job changing the model of the main character to a different charecter is there by any chance any other way to swap 3D models from one video game to another when it comes to Pokemon Colosseum or Pokemon XD? I honestly have no idea how you did that and I really wanna know. So I can try it myself. Feel free to respond to this comment whenever it works best for you however don't worry if you don't because honestly it might take a lot more explaining than could be sent through a singular youtube text box so don't worry I'm just curious I can probably find out some other way but currently i don't see anything about it.
And it's fantastic that you've been able to battle Red too. I wonder if there's a way to battle blue as well. Maybe there's a possibility that might come out if a Pokemon colosseum or xd gale of darkness remake ever comes to switch.
My subscribers mean a lot to me so I will be as transparent and direct to your questions as possible so here goes..
(Currently) It's not possible to swap 3D models from one video game to another. Modders(myself included) tried this with a 3D trainer model from XD and import it into Colosseum. The result was that the model *was actually imported* but T-posing. So basically the imported models can't move, they're stuck on a T-pose.
How I changed the trainer to the Red model you see in the video is by exporting Red's 3D model .fsys file that already exists in the game. And replacing Mirakle B's trainer model .fsys file with Red's. This is possible with GC Rebuilder. This way you can also change the overworld models like Wes and Rui to Red and Leaf. So you play as them.
@@markayers8047 Since Blue doesn't have a 3D trainer model in the game, it's unfortunately not possible to import the guy.

I enabled texture dumping in in Dolphin to dump the textures of Wes and Rui and edited them with PS.
Afterwards I put those edited texture in the ''Load'' texture folder.

Thanks for dropping a comment man! Max out settings in Dolphin. This means ''6x native 3840x3168) for 4K. Anti Aliasing ''8x SSAA''. Use an action replay code for Ultra Widescreen. And use Topaz Gigapixel AI to upscale textures by dumping textures you want in game. Cheers!
@Miror B GOD turn on texture dumping in dolphin. In dolphin go to ''Graphics'' ''Advanced'' and enabale texture dumping. It automatically creates a map in Dolphin>Dump>Textures find the game folder which contains the colosseum textures. Put the folder in Dolphin>Load>Textures. From there edit the textures, I use photoshop. A golden advice: Don't change the file name of the textures or dimensions! Otherwise the textures won't load. After you've edited the textures in the Load folder, enable ''Load Textures'' in ''Graphics'' ''Advanced''

There's a discord channel called NGC/Wii Pokemon Rom Hacking where they have the program in the download section. Check it out if you got the time.
Would it be possible to swap Pokemon models for the higher poly version from the newer games?
They tried to swap the models from Colosseum with the ones from Battle Revolution. But unfortunately it didn't work (yet) they are working on it every day. Let's hope for the best and see what the future brings.

How did you get the alternate outfit? Is this a hacked rom? I stopped playing after I beat the main storyline. My Pokémon are all level 60- I got to level 80 Mt Battle

After the storyline you can also do the mt battle challenge to get ho-oh.

Yeah I got the inspiration from stadium 2 R2 where Red has the legendary beasts and Dragonite in his team instead of the usual evolved starters.
The only Colosseum mod I am really dreaming of, is one that gets rid of that annoying girl.
They have an action replay code for that actually.

I experimented with the game by adding custom trainer battles, custom trainers, upscaled textures to 4K, 60FPS, implementing the phys/specal split, custom pokemon types for example groudon being ground/fire.

Yeah kinda, it's not finished because it is very time consuming. The only reason why I can't progress for now is because of my 9 to 5 job.

My goal was to create a "what if Red went to the Orre region and decided to go full beast mode on the Orre protagonist Wes"
I got the inspiration from the trainer Silver in stadium 2 where he has 3 legendaries.

@@rcghalohell That's a very good question. I see this question on lots of Colosseum 60fps videos here on RUclips. And I see that none of those questions ever get answered. They wanna keep it a secret I think. So here's the simple answer: They al use a program to make 30fps videos to 60fps. Myself included. The best program for this is FlowFrames. It's the one I use. So if they tell you they got a code for that they're lying. Colosseum doesn't have a code (yet) to make it 60fps. XD Gale of Darkness does have an action replay code to make it 60fps. There's a discord channel that is working on making the code to run Colosseum on 60fps.

Is this grand colosseum?
No, I don't think Grand Colosseum has different trainers and textures. It only has changed pokemons, difficulty and gen 4 phys/spec split.

I think this is a hack and I am really impressed that Red has command of the legendary Pokémon but why are the moves that don’t do any damage are in their move set they should replace them with other moves
The AI used non-damaging moves sometimes apparently.
How do you do this?
Hey there Robby. I use some hacking programs to do this. one is called Colosseum/God Tool and the other one GC rebuilder. For the different colored trainer textures I use photoshop and for the sharp crispy textures overall I upscale the already existing textures of buildings/floors etc. with Topaz Gigapixel AI.
