I pay out of pocket. My insurance won’t cover it. I could never afford three boxes at once. But this was a very good video about how to manage these shots.
I too was the same with 2.5 - 16 weeks 1 month of 5mg cuz she goes for dropping too low with the combo of my other diabetes medication’s. Plus I was losing weight a little too fast. Got to my go weight moved back to 2.5 mg slowly weaned up other diabetic medication‘s and although I don’t have appetite suppressant like I did before I’ve been maintaining, my weight and keeping my sugars in check since January….
Just seeing this video, thank you so much for all of the information. I just started Tirzepatide 5 weeks ago and I’m down 9 lbs. would like it to go a bit faster but I rather stay at the 2.5 dose as long as I can.
Hi Allie! I personally spent 8 weeks on 2.5 which helped greatly! As it got towards the end of those 8 weeks my side effects were so much better but the hunger was coming back by the 3rd day after injection. I knew it was time to titrate up. I started 5mg this past Friday with good results! Hunger suppression was back in full force! Had a bit a nausea but nothing drastic but all in all it was a smooth transition! Totally agree about staying on a dose for longer than 4 weeks! I am T2D and my BS is between 90-120 and i'm down 28 pds!
I’m just starting, took my second dose today. 5 lbs. down and I’m having fatigue and lots of burping. I was worried that I’m not eating enough and I think yesterday I ate more than I should’ve even though I thought I was being careful and tonight I ate and stopped because I was very quickly full and then I burped and a little of the water I’ve been drinking came up. I am having constipation. I’m not eating much, so I’m sure that I don’t need to count calories but I’m more concerned with getting enough protein because I’m trying to avoid any muscle loss. Hoping to get a point where my body adapts and I’m having kind of a routine of what I’m eating and drinking and using the restroom.
This is my 16th week. 8 weeks on 2.5 and planning on staying on 5 at least 8 more weeks. Lost 13 lbs n 2.5 and another 20, so far, on 5! Hope to stay on 5 for the duration. Great video!
I love that I got 2 boxes each of 5, 7.5 and 15’s. Now I can split the doses into 5’s with bac water to keep at a steady 5 mg every 5 days. Keeps a more even blood level and able to tide over part of the shortage.
Just been told (here in the UK) that 7.5mg won't be available here until the end of April. Good job I'm taking your advice and going to do another month of 5mg 👍🏻
Or go up and stretch the medication, still use 2.5, but you literally will have a two month supply, more cost effective. Someone else told me this on another channel, super great advice!! 🎉
You’re one of the few people that I’ve commented on anything. I love your videos there so helpful. I’m on 2.5 3 rd week. No more side affects. 1 st week had appetite suppressant for about one day and the rest I was hungry (manageable) . I’m going on my 4 th week and I feel great no side affects. I wish I knew this before they prescribed 5mg . I’m going to see how I feel on that dose and if I’m ok on it I will definitely stay on it as long as I’m able to. Thanks for your advice
You are so welcome! I love that you are managing the hunger, great job! Maybe if you move up you will have more suppression (if that’s what you want). Always good to complete at least 4 weeks on the lowest dose❤️
Thanks for such an excellent video, you explained everything so well, I took my 4th injection of Tirzepatide and this coming Thursday I take my 5th injection, I’m thinking 🤔 I want to titrade up to 5mg like instructed because I only loss 5 lbs. but I may stay at 2.5 I just got to troubleshoot to see what I need to improve on or since I had issues with Hypothyroidism that have always caused me problems with losing, but I will see 😅
Last week, I increased my dosage and changed the injection site for my medication. Unfortunately, I experienced some terrible side effects, including nausea and vomiting that lasted for five days. As a result, I took this week off, but I must admit, I'm apprehensive about continuing with the treatment. I was on my fifth week of the medication when these side effects occurred.
Nice video. I am on week 5 @ 2.5 on tirzepatide compound. I started getting hungry and cravings on day 4/5 last week. Just want to eat something . I've lost about 10lbs so far. Dr. Just ordered 5mg dose. So it will be 6 weeks when i start. I'm really hoping that side effects are good. Right now, only side effects have been constipation.
A starter Kit … now that’s ridiculous. People really need to do some research with any meds especially these newer meds. Thank you for this … because someone had to say it. I’m on Tirz compound. Been on it 6 weeks still on 2.5 I’m still good n will probably stay for another month after these 2 doses.
Hey Allie I wonder how she got 3 boxes all of different doses, hmmmm. Anyway, on my first week of 2.5; having no problems, eating very carefully, walking, drinking the H20, low carbs are better for me. My endocrinologist put me on Ozempic like 1and a half years ago before anyone really knew what that was . A1c was 5.1 so insurance stopped. I had good luck with it, not many side effects and I got to 1mg. So now, I'm hoping for good things with tirzepatide. Doing the work for sure!!🐝
It’s like how my doctor prescribed the 1mg for ozempic and I thought it was a big jump from the .5mg so right now this is my 2nd week of taking .75 (54 clicks) and my hunger has suppressed even more and my symptoms are 0! I’m glad I’m doing it like this because I thought I was going to feel like mega crap with that 1mg dosage. And when it’s closer to that day of doing the shot, I don’t get that hunger sensation I would get with the lower dosage. Not sure if I should mention that to him in my next appointment that I’m doing 54 clicks lol
I'd just keep doing what you are doing and filling the script as it was prescribed so I'd have a little back stock. But that's just me. 😉 Shortage-proof yourself if possible. It's hard out here in these glp1 streets. 😆😆
Thanks for your helpful posts! I just started on a compounded terzepatide and it looks like 5.6mgs? Combined with a B12. I will have to check with my dr on the exact dose. I just assumed it woukd be 2.5 but not sure if the compounded is different in any way. I had appetite suppression on Thursday ( injection day) up until yesterday (monday) I was so.hungry and ate 6 small meals, prioritized protein. I di walk 10k plus steps,.some with a weighted vest and do an hour kettlebell workout so wondering if the extra hunger was from the movement. I felt sick friday afternoon after my Thursday injection, flu like symptoms but it was pretty much gone by Saturday morning. I may have lost 3lbs but used 2 different scales different times of day so not sure. My starting weight is 190. I'm 5'5. I feel good at 150/160.but would like to get to 140. Will see as I go. Although between 140-50 is a good weight for me i consistently creep back up to 190 after my 2nd child 25 years ago. I was 190 when I had him. My body always wants to go back to that so trying to break that pattern. I agree with you on working on the good noise and hunger because it will always come back to that at some point.
As far as appetite suppression I could’ve stayed on 2.5 but I only lost weight one week so I felt like I needed to titrate up, unfortunately not much communication with my doctor

I am on 1mg of Ozempic now and it is doing it's job. My physician said I should be on this dose for a while. ZERO side effects at this dose.

I needed this video. Thank you! I am going to ask my Dr. to keep me on 2.5 for another round instead of going up.
Glad it was helpful!

Did you ever discuss dosing soon? So 2.5, but every 5 or 6 days…
I have, I talk about it in my video about dealing with hunger day 5-7.

@@PinkOwl31 yes! I was thinking the same thing if I can’t get a refill because of the shortage
37 pounds down on 2.5 so far but this past week I started getting food noise again. And wanting extra food.

I tried to go up to 7.5 only to realize I had to go back to 5 the 7.5 brought on the nausea 🤢
Do you mind sharing the IG/YT info on the lady who lost 116 lbs on 2.5? I’d love to follow her journey as well.
I don’t think she has one, I just see her commenting often in the support groups. I will keep an eye out for her and ask her❤️
5mg for 3 months now

Same! I’m moving to 5mg. Hope it works to actually lose!
I think people have begun for the worst unfortunately. That is literally a starter dose in hopes in 3 months everything is back to normal.

It helps if you change injection sites if you are experiencing food noice, hunger, or a stall.
