PREPARE, DON'T PANIC!
Thanks for this video, Ali. You are a wise one, young Grasshopper! 😉
The shortage will now get worse. For sure. Thank you for your work. No hysteria, just reality. EL wants to tamp down compounding. They want the high price. They want scarcity.
There was definitely a backroom deal made between the FDA and Lily and I find that disgusting there is still a shortage and to me what is taking place with this is almost criminal
Preach Ali!! The insurance companies need to be held accountable too!!! We pay every month and they get to decide what they'll cover???
Logistics??😂 what a freaking joke. How long has Lilly been making and transporting medications? You're so right Ali, as long as we all Report the Shortage!
Most people who go through compounding pharmacies do it to save money, their insurance won’t cover it, and because we cannot afford brand name. My insurance doesn’t cover any weight loss meds. From what I have seen this morning some telehealth companies have already removed Tirzepatide from their offerings online. I don’t know anyone who can comfortably afford $550 a month or more for these meds. I sure as heck can’t. Eli Lilly blows.
Just PSA to the who have already/recently placed orders: Expect a few days delay for some of the pharmacies (example Red Rock) to process your Rx. They are closed for the Jewish High Holy Holiday, Rosh Hashanah - New Year, (Happy, healthy, and peaceful 5785 to all who celebrate!) as well as the usual weekend/non-business days (Friday, Sat, Sun when they don't process or ship).
The Orderly Meds rep I spoke with today said that they have not, as of yet, received any notifications as to changes to come so it's "business as usual" and that clients would be notified if/when/what changes will be as they unfold.
Open Enrollment for New Health Insurance Policies begins November 1st. Sign up for a Policy that covers GLP-1's your out of Pocket cost could end up going down because the Policy will cover Zepbound or Wegovy and Use the Manufacturer Coupon towards your Co-Pay. Most likely resulting in less than $25 per monthly prescription.
I can only hope they’ll be covered.
Im on a medicare plan and was denied because i have not had a heart attack or stroke! That makes no sense to me! I have no choice but to use compounds! Its a stretch on our budget of Social Security!
I also have Medicare and was denied because I'm not diabetic 😐even tho I'm 300lb and my bmi is high and I'm pre diabetic and have fatty liver disease 🤨 ugh 😑 doctors
Kevin you made me look what the heck my dog was chewing on because I didn’t catch the disclaimer it was YOU 😂 Another great video Ally
I think not only should shortages be reported to FDA (who is probably getting paid off by Lilly) but we should report to Lilly itself. Jam up the phone lines!
I was literally trying to type my comment about the port strikes and then I heard you say it! lmao go Ali go! You have inspired me so much as I follow along on your journey! Thanks for the updates!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Port strike is now over
I really appreciate that video you did listing those pharmacies and I went through one of them and ordered three months supply. The problem is the expiration dates we have to deal with and the other problem is let’s say we put in an order for 12 months. Are they going to be able to fill it down the road beyond that 60 days I don’t know I certainly don’t want to put a few thousand dollars out there and be told oh we can’t fill it and then the compound pharmacies have financial problems because of all that’s going on and we don’t get a refund and yes, I know that’s a reach, but it is a consideration.
I agree. It will go back to shortage.
All the things you said are easier said than done. These pharmacies are getting letters this morning and they will be backing down. These are small pharmacies compared to cvs and Walgreens.
Once my dr sent the lilly direct vial prescription correctly and electronically I had it in two days! Very thankful. My compound pharmacy texted me yesterday that they will allow 1-5 months ordering ahead for refills in a week or two so I will probably take them up on that to get even more ahead before the60 days is up
Thanks for the update Ali. You’re always on top of things.
Well, my order to Mochi was done Monday. I hope my order is fulfilled. Right now it says processing. It’s coming from Red Rock so I was glad to see a poster giving a reason for the delay. My first order should 11 days but I was told that future orders would take less time.
We do have to remember that pharmacies have to pre-pay so they don’t necessarily always have them in stock but they will order them and we should be able to get them in the next day or so. But if we can’t get them for a week, then definitely is a shortage. A few months ago when I went into panic mode, I would call my local CVS every few days and they kept telling me all the stock they had was already spoken for, but when it was time for me to order, they would order mine and it would be there in a day. So we do have to consider that as well.
We are in shortage and I think we will stay in shortage, but I don’t think it’s because more people will jump back on the branded because a the brand isn’t really available and be the brand is too expensive and see many peoples insurance is kicking them off of the branded
Hey, I read somewhere that most of the medication doesn't stay good in the fridge for more than two months. I mean, unless you pay a one-time fee and they ship it to you every month. I hope that eventually, this medication becomes more affordable, and my insurance won't cover it 😕
This is so not true. I was with Amble at one point in time. They gave me 12 weeks worth of tirzepatide in one vial. The expiration date was 3 months past when I was done with the doses. The pens have 18 month expirations. The 30 or 60 day nonsense is to make you buy more cuz you think it's "expired".
Thanks for all your good work.❤❤
It was hard to find the correct link to report shortage. Thanks to your link,I did report mine.I am sure there are many that are not as engaged and do not know to report. They will soon!
Excellent video Ali!!
All so true. To Your point, when I started Zepbound in April my BMI was 39.5...denied with 3 appeals. My other half is on my policy. He just started last month paid $25 for 2.5 and 5.0 is at the pharmacy waiting to be picked up for $30. While I am thankful that his is covered, why is the price going up? Whenever he moves up to 7.5, will it be $35? And you are correct as he also has asthma and high blood pressure while I have no co-morbidities and 0.5 away from 40 at the start but it was a no. Same house, same insurance, different price 👎🏾
My health insurance company kept increasing the A1C and requirements. I am charging the insurance even that I would face the same issue, but the way that they handle was ridiculous.
A Sensitivity can also help with needing a compound. I'm not allergic to codeine but I am sensitive to it, so we keep that note on file to keep me from having intense reactions
This is planned scarcity, novo nordisk did it with Saxenda and now Saxenda is no longer available as people were pushed to wegovy. Wegovy being more expensive. The British NHS can get 15mg Mounjaro for £122. Lilly has to make the money somewhere to cover for the cheaper prices in the UK and Europe. This is planned no two ways about it. They want more money they have studies ongoing for long term usage. The next gen of Mounjaro has gone into testing on humans, wonder how long it will be before we get pushed off this. Also U.K. has implemented the same restrictions for obtaining Mounjaro as the US medical insurers. To get it on NHS the first round of patients will have to have a bmi of 40 and three obesity related illnesses. This is all about money.
Thank you!
My bmi was 40....now its 33 but the emphasis in 40 makes me feel bad... plus i have comorbidities.
Seems to me, if I have a Zepbound Rx that can't be filled, my Rx should, according to the FDA letter, be able to be filled by a compound pharmacy. So that's another reason to get the branded IF your Dr will write it and IF your insurance will cover it. I know this is only a slice of the Tirzepatide population but it makes sense, no?
Ali, I saw the video references which companies you suggest for buying several months at a time but can’t find it. What’s the exact title of it or a link. Thanks.

Well the port strikes are now over so that’s no longer a factor
Seeing now that Hallandale is reportedly ceasing to fill all tirzepatide orders effective immediately. 😢
Where is this information?
Too late! These plans are out of control. I barely use my insurance!!!
Aetna PPO rejected my PA saying that my BMI needs to be 40 or above or 35 BMI with other conditions.
I’m so sorry, fight it!!!!
@@FitFlavorFunCan my doctor change my BMI on the appeal? I know you mentioned something about this on your video. I’m brand new to Tirzepatide and I am starting tomorrow with compound from Hallandale pharmacy.
Super standard for any sort of weight loss therapy/treatment/surgery/med
@@treatwithkream5458what do you mean by “standard”? Doctor changing BMI updates and changing codes on the PA?
@@juanrosa6969 sure…. No
Isn’t Lilly direct amazon?
Its not , your package can be distributed from amazon but they have their own pharmacy they distribute from as well. They use several other 3rd party pharmacies they used before Amazon distribution was added.
How long will it take to get it back on shortage? I reported to the FDA this morning my inability go get 10mg ZB. How many reports will it take? I hope the FDA doesn't drag their feet with this.
They will…it will take Congress to act on it to force FDA to put it back on shortage and since pharmaceutical companies have lobbyist pay our Congressional people….nothing will be done. Worked for FG for 36 years. The system is CORRUPTED
Thanks! Valid ideas,,, and I was feeling a Kevin shortage 🎉❤️⏮⏪◀️👍🐶🥓
🧡🧡
I can't find your video on the list that I can get 60-90 days more Tirzepatide. 😢

Mochi combines theirs with niancinimide. I think they will still sell theirs.
Mochi also uses Red Rock and they don’t add niacinamide. Their other pharmacy, Aequita does.
@mmsfoxxie1 mine came from Kirkland and it has niancinimide in it.
@@nunyabusiness6693 Oh…I didn’t know Mochi uses Kirkland. Not familiar with them.
This question is not about the topic 7.5 mg is awful lol I took 25units recently it made me sick 🤢 My question is can i skip every other weak because there’s no way.
No, skipping makes it worse, talk to ur dr and go down in dose. Or talk to them about splitting or micro dosing
@@FitFlavorFun Okay he said the samething ❤️ awesome thank you for responding OMG I’m scared of this dose going back to 5mg he did suggested splitting the dose but I’m not sure because this is not fun.
