My hair would always stop growing when it got to a certain length, until one year ago when a friend told me about cutting my hair during a moon-waning day. Since then I've been trimming my hair once a month, on the days Farmer's Almanac recommends, and I have to say my hair has grown longer than it ever was and is still going! Highly recommend this trick.
My mom and I do follow the moon phases when trimming or cutting our hair, I don't give a darn if there is "scientific evidence" or not, for us it works, been doing it since childhood, whenever I don't, my hair lingers in the same length for a while. I have full, thick waist length hair.

Thats something that I do, lol, I have a natural afro, on time I got scissor happy and well I had to shave my beautiful afro off. Lol but hay at least I have a routine now to look forward to in the feature when it grows back.🌺

I've never cut my hair by the phases of the moon. But I do see cutting hair as shedding of old energy. I'm Pagan, so at times I believe this shedding of old or negative energy is a good way to renew our aura and start fresh. :)

I had read that when people notice faster hair growth after getting their hair cut at a salon, it's often because of the vigorous scalp massage which stimulates the follicles, and not everyone gives their scalp such a vigorous scrub at home.

I think she's just saying that there is no scientific evidence behind it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. Simply believing that it works can have an affect on your hair growth. If you want to keep to a schedule when cutting your hair or just want to see if it works then by all means try it. It can't hurt.

But I notice another strange thing about hair growing- I have a really long hair, and bangs a little longer than shoulder length. Once in a month I measure the length of my hair and the length of my bangs. I get like one centimeter grow in a month in the long hair, and like 10 centimeters (!) in my bangs.

Haha, people always ask me how my hair gets so long. Here's my secret; I leave it alone. Mine's only a little past my belly button, but I like it at that length. If it were any longer, it'd probably just get in the way.
The best time is when the moon is in leo or virgo. I totally believe that the moon is supporting this how are body reacts. I wax my hair when it should cut down the growth and it works!

I’ve released a dozen different videos with practical information on how to grow long hair. The time of the month that you trim will not magically affect the length. Sorry to tell you there’s no conspiracy.

I think putting hair trims to a schedule helps keep you from getting scissor happy and gives your hair is a chance to grow.
