I bought a 954rr 2 months ago and I love it. Also subscribing since your really the only person making videos with a 954. Btw I did an oil change without having to remove any plastics ;)
Diggin the videos bro, i have always considered the 954 my "holy grail" bike and just got my hands on a 2002 with 2800 original miles! i know sounds crazy but i bought it from this old dude that had it in his garage because he "just likes looking at it", the thing is pristine and i hope to have it for along time. Do you have a favorite source for parts and what manual do you use? Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you! Take care of her and she can last a very long time (I am currently just over 44.5k miles). I actually use the Haynes manual as it gives you useful tips that the Honda manual will not. Motosport.com tends to do 20% (sometimes more) off of OEM parts, though their selection of aftermarket parts for the 954 does lack a good bit (I guess that is everywhere now with the age of the bike). If you have any topic requests or how-to requests do not hesitate! It is still my goal to be very subscriber/viewer oriented and will always be my motovlogging mantra!
works pretty well. i use an excessive amount of foil to be sure i got the headers covered. not hating but i must say im not too impressed with the fram filter! :) i did a bunch of research a couple years ago on filters. ive been using the mobil m1-108 on my 954. changed every other oil change or 6-7,000 miles. its a high milage filter. its a nice product with superior construction and filter media. anti drain back and 14psi by pass valve. 11-12$ but i feel good about its quality.
+Kevin highfill definitely avoid K&N right now as they have a recall! The Fram filters have done well for me, but I honestly use them because they are readily available. Might have to look into the Mobil
+Kevin highfill thanks for the link, I will definitely look into it! Welcome to the channel too! I think there are a couple peeps from the .org that have found me channel now lol
Mostly listen for odd sounds from the engine (ticks are fairly normal in the 54). I would also look over as much as possible looking for any missing bolts/parts. Second gear is "normally" the first to start going out. Try some accelerations in second gear (hard). Just accelerate normal and shift into second, then accelerate hard, slow down (no clutch), and take off again. Repeat a few times. If it pops out of gear it indicates potential problems.
Hi, I hope you receive my message, i have problem fixing led flashlights on my cbr. I conected all 4 of the lights now the are on a constand light mode. Now i know i have to change my flashlight relay but it seems our model doesnt have one it is inprinted on the speedometor printplate, is that correct so far ? Do i have to connect the individually with resistors, if so i dont have a idea how to, electric subjects isnt my strongest point. Can you help me out please ? Kind Regards, Gadim
I am not entirely sure about the signals. You should have 3 wires. Ground, constant, and flash.. but I'm not sure which does what (colour). I never did the relay or resistor.. just left the fast flash (actually kind of pulses)
The Real RRDemon Thanks for the answer, i didnt expect it lol, I’m having this problem for a while, the thing is when i connect the led lamps it doesnt flash fast or it flashes so fast that you cant see it flash because it seems to lit full constantly so no flash anymore. The original light and the led lights are both 2 wires not 3. I hope I’m clear my english isnt that Good. The sc44 and the cbr 1000 both have a relay under the Seat which you can replace and the problem for the 4 flash lights is solved exept for the cbr 954, it seems not to have a relay, so i think you have too place resistors between each light so the amount of electricety is right and the can flash correct but i dont know how. A see a lot of video’s almost all the Honda s exept for the 95, no video example how to put led indicators
This vid helped so much the 954rr is just an amazing piece of art
Glad to help

+Johnny Sanchez okay...i am impressed. I may need a diagram or video for that one! At least getting the filter out... how?
The Real RRDemon
Some vice grips and really skinny wrists lol.
Though I will definitely use your cardboard trick. I only had a few hand towels with me at the time and spilled some oil on my headers.
Love your videos about the 954rr I have bought one because your show

sweet. i make a aluminum foil boat similar to your cardboard to catch the runoff.
+Kevin highfill hrm..... sounds more effective actually....... I'll have to give it a go next pull change!

I just got a 954 and don’t know anything about bikes any recommendations on what to look into to see if the motor and transmission are okay.
