  • Change oil and oil filter every 12,000 km (8000 miles).
    Oil type: API grade SE, SF or SG.
    Oil viscosity SAE 10W40.
    Oil + oil filter 3.7 litres.
    Before changing the oil, warm up the engine so the oil will drain easily.
    Refill the engine to the proper level. Start the engine and let it run for two or three minutes. Shut it off, wait a few minutes then check the oil level. Add more oil to bring the level close to the maximum line. Do not overfill.

    Siemanko. Takie pytanie do Ciebie, ponieważ moje Moto (też 929) stało całą zimę w garażu. Teraz będę chciał wymienić oleje z filtrem no i wypadłoby nagrzać maszynę tak jak Ty to zrobiłeś. Ale pytanie czy to zdrowe dla silnika na starym oleju po całej zimie stania i nie przepalania ?

    • @majkel7118

      Rozgrzej oczywiście że nic mu nie będzie. Tylko najlepiej się przejechać aby rozgrzać, tak mówi serwisówka. Przejedź się 10-15 minut niech chwilę ostygnie i do dzieła.

    Hi majkel..every how many months do you change the engine oil or mileage do you change the engine oil?

    • @majkel7118
      @majkel7118  3 года назад +3

      The manufacturer recommends changing every 12,000 km or 8,000 miles. However, I change more often. Recently changed after 3 thousand. Even if you don't do that many kilometers, change it at least once a year. You must also replace the oil filter together with the oil.

    Why the fuck are you unscrewing the fairing? Just stick a rubber glove on and stick your hand through the hole in the side fairing and grab filter and loosen it. You can easily drain without removing the lower fairing too.

    • @majkel7118
      @majkel7118  3 года назад +3

      Because I'm not lazy. To have easier access. Also so that the oil from the filter does not leak onto the plastics.

    Engine oil warm , hotter is better, wear gloves, remove filter first as it contains dirty oil. Use foil to create a funnel between exhaust pipes.
    After oil has drained flush with some fresh oil (150ml) to clean out the last bit of dirty oil. Don't start engine until oil is full capacity. 3.7Litres or whatever . .

    • @majkel7118
      @majkel7118  4 года назад +2

      The oil was warm, so I showed the temperature at the beginning of the video. Gloves are for girls, a real mechanic will never wear gloves. A real mechanic loves being dirty and smelling gasoline. For the rest of the stuff, you may be right.

    • @davidedutremblay5050
      @davidedutremblay5050 4 года назад +1

      Majkel - disagree with your glove comment. Due to the numerous additives in many modern automotive fluids, most auto mechanics definitely wear gloves. Adds additional grip too vs skin

    • @majkel7118
      @majkel7118  4 года назад +2

      Davide DuTremblay yes but most "mechanic's" this days wearing gloves even when they change tyres for you.

      @majkel7118  3 года назад

      @ImBetterTV I am not mechanic. I do it just for fun. I talk about mechanic's who is afraid to begin dirty. Wearing gloves even for changing brake pads, plugs etc. Oil will not kill you other chemicals can.
