Fixed mine today same problem, then I see this video lol anyway thank for the information. I fixed mine buy drilling holes on the center of the connector then threaded a small bolt with a nut. eye connectors on the wires tightened it down then epoxy on top it worked perfectly now I won’t ever have to worry about that again and didn’t have to spend 400 on a fuel pump assembly.
I have an 03 954 and I had the same issue the other day and couldn’t figure out what was causing the fuel pump to not prime. I rode it a mile down the road and it cut out, thanks to your video I took it out tested all the wires and boom, same exact issue
Having the same problem with my cbr929rr. Thank you for the video because this was driving me crazy after spending hours checking all the relays and it all comes down to this...
Excellent video thanks Mike. I didn't consider the open circuit in the wiring junction at the mount plate, so I went back to the garage (in my pyjamas) to confirm, nope, mine's good, pump is dead.
I had the exact same problem with the blue wire “disconnecting” with the connection in the potting compound in the sender on my 03 954. Pushed on the wire and voila - the pump worked.
I stored my bike for 5 years it ran perfect even had put fuel stabilizer before storage now i go empty old fuel and put new fuel, true the key everything lights up but fuel pump prime it turns over but no primer and no star, it has 5k and i baby my stuff, what can i do, i hasn't been dropped nothing it was covered, help please anyone.
The same exact thing happened to me, spent endless hours, and it still would not prime. Don’t know what to do next. Ran fine a few months ago. Tried to start it, it cranks, but not priming when I turn on the start button. Very frustrating.
Welp, I just spent ALL DAY outside replacing my fuel pump only to find out I think I have the *exact* same problem as you. Originally thought it was the pump because of course, 12v directly to the pump wires and I had nothing. No idea how the hell this could happen, but of course after I put it all back together and had the same issue -- Put 12v directly to the old pump and what do you know ... it's not the pump. I too have power at the harness .... Wow, this is the dumbest issue ever. Just like you, I rode home, shut it off, and that was it. Thankfully it happened at home ... but w-t-f!?!??! So un-Honda like.

Hondas go crusty when they don't get abused.
Good video the only one
So how did you fix it ? Solder ? New wire ? Re epoxy ?
Going through this exact problem right now. Smdh
Video showed a female electrical conector one side slipped on and the other side off.
