Due to the high demand for a follow along I created this video. I know this is essentially a re-upload and there is a reason for not initially making the routine a follow along. I HIGHLY recommend you take this routine and apply it to your own restrictions. Spend more time in positions that you are tight in and less in those that don't need it. However, if you're new to this then it is a great place to start :)
I do this routine every morning now and it's a great way to warm up for the day. The only area I feel isn't really targeted is the glutes, so I've begun incorporating a pigeon stretch too. Thanks for the quality content and keep it up.
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO YOU HAVE PUT OUT!!! not to undermine the other awesome vids, but this is the one I got the chance to move with you. I just finished work and opened up RUclips, clicked this, wasn't thinking of doing it, but ended up doing it. Now I feel good! thanks dude, you gotta make more sequences!!!
This was easily the easiest routine to follow and genuinely left my body feeling a lot more energetic. Straight to the point video, no plugs, no Bs. Awesome work bro. Subscribed instantly.
It's never too much content when it comes to structural health for proper body function. On another note, congratulations on the recent quick growth of the channel ✌🏼️
Two thing; 1.) If possible could you make a video on how to fix APT (anterior pelvic tilt) 2.) Could also make a video on stretches for rest/sleeping or bedtime And oh yeah love this video, it's been an absolute treat.
@@BodyweightWarrior Loving this video! will search for a sleep/bedtime video. Will make progress with the basics, and then reach you to commission time or programs at a higher level.
I've always dabbled in and out of yoga and recently started again, really enjoy your videos and mobility exercises. This one is great but I really have trouble with the squat thoracic rotations. Seeing progress slowly only after a few short weeks but those ones are particularly difficult. Thanks for the videos!
This is my morning routine before work no matter what. When I have mornings off work I do some of the deeper routines but regardless of my free time this routine is my bare minimum.
Ryan Fernance Comment like this one is a motivation ! I love working out but I always get lazy after a time and then I stop. Seeing comments like this gives me courage to at least do a 5 minute routine everyday.
I try to do this mornings before work (variable amount of success). I've tried one or two others but find them too advanced for me (couldn't seem to get into the prescribed positions) so kept coming back to this one.
I've been looking for something to do on rest days between weight training and whole body body weight exercises. Definitely incorporating the moves you demonstrated. Actually felt relief from soreness the first time I did this. Glad I found your channel and looking forward to getting into this type of movement. Thanks
Thanks a lot for the follow along version. It absolutely work for me as a 45 yo guy who wants to wipe out some rust and start new healthy habits. Keep up the good work!
Thx Tom for this quick one, I know you are a nice person due to the dogs parading thru at times. I love your videos because you are calm and don’t yell , refreshing!
I am someone else returning to this video after two to three years away. I see the channel has grown massively. Congratulations to Tom on that. This was the only video I ever got along with. I might retry some of the others, but if nothing else if this one, plus some stretches of hip flexors will hopefully help get me back on track.
I know! Too funny. Especially the fact he never bothers Tom. Just walks by him. I thought for sure he would stop for a sniff or something. I wonder of someone was sending the dog into the scene as a prank distraction? lol I love that he didn't redo the vid to cut the dog out. Just shows real life. Concentrate and keep it moving.
holy sh*t tom, you are finally growing!! 2 weeks ago you had like 13k subs and now you are on 21k im so happy for you, keep up the good work, you are the best.
I play your video almost every morning. The twisting while squatting was a little tricky at first, but I'm almost comfortable now :D My body goes through the day much easier since then. Thank you !!
I love the 15 minute and 20 minute stretches but this is absolutely brilliant if you are time rushed. Covers the whole body in 5 mins. Everyone has time to do this!
Great video. I love the change-up: the simplicity of how your broke it down to the essentials for us. Great job as always. Love the new? ending pic of what looks like you getting ready for a dip 6:35
Been using this video every morning now for over 2 weeks. Followed by a cold shower. Really wakes me up! 8 or 10 min version would be great ;) keep up the good work. Thanks
Really thank you brother 🙏🏼 I’m 1 year away from my 40 and i woke up saying “shit! I lift weights and i forgot my flexibility” and you made it seem easy ñ. Thank you
Absolute godsend Tom, came across your channel a few weeks ago and been back every day since. Used this as a cooldown from a hiit workout and feel great. Thanks man.
I actually like your videos better because the other stretches look so "aesthetic" or polished that I don't connect them with my reality of stretching in my bedroom in some random pijamas while my cats watch me. Keep up this casual body stretches please. Thank you!
Just what the doctor ordered. Only the second morning doing this, but it's highlighted how inflexible i am and will be a good gauge for improvement. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much Tom Merrick, I love every thing about your videos even your music and sometimes birds in the background is awesome 👍your doing a great job, and your helping so many people to get flexibile
Oeh I like it! Only thing I missed was a little heads up on how to do the pike - so I know I'm starting of right. Thanks for sharing and creating the follow along!
My osteopath recommended me this video, and I’ve been watching it just about every day for months now… enjoy the view count on this quality made video!
Great video! This is a great routine I try to do it every morning. Only thing I would add is a downward dog at the end just to stretch out the claves! But great video!
Thanks a lot for this great mobility routine. Easy to perform for a beginner and nomore excuses not including it in a every day morning warm up routine :-)
Day 27 of 300 I hurt my back pretty bad and now I am inconsistent with the stretches. Still hurts, but now I am able to continue. I will finish no matter what
I've already seen this and applied some movements to my own routine, but I watched and liked this video anyway. :) Thank you for putting out such great content.
Hi Tom,just found your channel in the last few days,it’s great for mobility and stretching, some new stretches I have never done before and as a DJ the music is cool too, very chilled and relaxed, perfect to mobilise and stretch to,keep it up,Phil 😄
Hey Tom 🙋🏻♀️ I’ve been following your stretch routines for a while now and I love them 🙌🏼💙 4 weeks ago I broke my ankle while hiking any chance you could do a stretch routine for ppl with fractured fibulas / broken ankles to get back into the mobility flow 🙏🏼 thx
Great vid going to try and do this every morning or a variation of it. Had never seen the thoracic stretch squat exercise before and wow. I felt a huge relief from my back pain
Sheryl4 that is a brilliant idea! So pleased you suggested it. It didn't occur to me, despite using that feature (to speed up) so many of the videos I watch.
I really rate your videos Tom. Helping with so much stiffness. What are your pointers for mobility and flexibility for the table top pose and grabbing your hands behind your back?

just pulled myself.off the couch to do it 👍
Tom Merrick you're awesome, thank you for putting content out for the people
Would you be able to a second version but possibly 10 minutes long.
I would say to take this as a basis and start adding extra stretches that you personally need :)
Do i need to worm up before !?
0:11 - Pike to squat - 5r
0:41 - Pike rotations - 5r
1:21 - Figure-four neck stretch - 30s
2:55 - Kneeling back-bend - 30s
3:34 - Thoracic rotations in squat - 5r
4:14 - Butterfly slides - 5r + 10s
4:40 - Table pose - 30s
5:12 - Cat stretch - 30s
5:46 - McKenzie pushup - 5
5r= 5 reps?
Eduardo Medeiros yes
Thank you. Couldn´t find the PDF but you've saved my day
Thankyou
I appreciate this... the last time I did this on a “project/craft” video, the uploader of the video basically ripped me a new one. Lol!
The calmness, flowing water and lovely dog ☺️

Same here. This has become a part of my morning routine as well. Gentle enough but a nice way to start off the day. Thank you Tom!
Awesome! It's only 5 minutes so why not. Glad you're using it!

If you have low back pain you shouldn't compress your lower back. I have similar issues and that's the advice I've been given.
