*ANTI-KAIZEN: Let's put a buch of faux vanity-jank inside the $1700 snowglobe and skip the offroad trials. Whatever happened to a simple, rugged headlight like on the Wrangler or Landcruiser 70? Stay tuned for the big reveal* 😆... 😢
Well you know that it cost $1699 to make that piece out of Carbon Fiber. You have someone carefully weaving that fiber to make those pieces. And we are grateful to be able to point and say ...do you like my headlights... . 🤣
I am amazed at the punishment your GX takes on those roads and the relatively small problems you encounter. I mean a loose sunroof when this thing is pounding thru the pot holes and some damaged bumpers. While I think it is ingenious the way you solve the problems it just seems to me to be minor compared to the abuse your vehicle takes on the roads on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, I know you have to fix the issues and it can be a hassle, however, I don't think I have ever seen someone use their GX like you do. Keep it up, I want to see how much punishment that vehicle can take before something major goes wrong. Enjoying your videos from sunny south Florida.
@jamesvirga9496 Thank you for your happy comment ❤️ 😊 🙏... yes these are relatively minor damages from living on washboards AND also offroading it on proper trails... every single type of vehicle gets torn up on the washboards out here in oddball ways... so for this "extreme use case" it's doing relatively fantastic... 😃
@212caboose excellent point... I don't trust the electronics inside the Chinese "aftermarket" triple LED units... not saying it's a guarantee but these LEDs are still "new technology" and I'd rather hack the Lexus Japanese headlight so its lasts "forever"... a new Chinese until will look the same but then might fail [in the actual lighting department] down the road prematurely... just theories, not facts... but frankly, If something breaks on these roads around here it will break in the exact same way again UNLESS you hack/rig it differently... perhaps that's why they call these vehicles "rigs"? 😆
Thank you. Now I know to stop before a pot hole and put down some soft pillows to keep those light from damage. 🤪 Did you happen to record the Mickey Mouse Club House light repair? If not that is ok I just like to see, because I look at the little things during the process for future referance. Yea that storm in the distance look menacing. Have a good weekend.
@henry78560 thanks for your support... statistically you will not experience what we did unless you live on or travel on washboards frequently... still mickey mousing the other side... the hackjob/patch will be revealed soon 😉✌️
Finally got sick of hearing an extra rattle?😂 I think the GX550 lights were changed because of this but I haven’t seen one in person yet to know for sure.
I'd assume the TNGAF lights are better and tested throughly here since they're all ground-up stuff... I think on the GX460 there was a rush to glue on "new LED lites" asap... and offroad durability came second....
Hey brother I apologize before hand for the off topic question not related to this video but I respect your knowledge and opinion. I recently put KO2’s on my Tacoma sr. I got the factory size for the KO2’s, 245 75 r16 my question being, what PSI do you reccomend? My door jam says 32 for the stock all seasons but the BF website claims minimum 40 psi. I have them set at 35 and it feels good. Wear looks average for 1500 miles I just cannot find a consistent psi for my size. Thanks in advance,
@@searchforthetruth1998 Door PSI is where the engineers determine the most compliant zone is... so that's what we do... our BFG KO2s are at 32 psi cold (door psi) ruclips.net/user/shortsp5le5J-myik?feature=share
@@LexusGX460-OFF-ROAD thank you sir! I’m currently watching another one of your videos and as fate would have it your explaining exactly what I asked . 🫡
Maybe 32 psi if your driving offroad, 40 if your not and 45 if your towing. Do the chalk test! I keep a piece in my GX and have tested enough times to know 32 is not correct with k02s on the GX on-road. This YTer lives offroad, do not follow his advice unless you are offroad as well.

Reveal 😮 headlights 🤔
American consumer that’s what happened 😂
@@searchforthetruth1998 Nah, more like corporations. After WW2 it switched from a consumer driven market to corporations telling US what we need.

@henry78560 love how it's actually faux carbon fiber lol..

Oh , Lord. Not the light , anything but the light!
For the price of replacement Lexus housings, I would have just bought a set of aftermarket headlights, that way I could also run "normal" LED bulbs...

They were updated in 2020. Mine is a 2019 and it has the old headlights.
