It's like BuzzFeed, but down under. We're a bit cooked, not afraid to get deep and sometimes we'll make you crack up. New videos every week!
Out of all the bread Germany(the bread nation) has to offer, they choose pumpernikel. Seriously. Lmao
Isn’t it similar to Danish rye bread? :)
Wirklich? They could have used brötchen oder weißbrot
Should have tried a nice crusty Schwarzbrot
@@danymann95
Ä
It is the bread you are most famous for outside of Germany unfortunately, only one I ever see or hear of where I live. I’m sure you have lots of others that are great
they needed butter or olive oil on all of these
Right? Bread is great and all but…ter
the biggest recurring theme seems to be "this would be amazing if it was fresh" and then a low/average ranking. which makes me think the test is skewed by old/stale bread and whatever type of bread holds up best the longest has the advantage
Technically Puff Puff is considered a donut/sweet but I'll take it 🙌🏾
I was about to say the same thing
Exactly👌🏾
@@Oke_Ukueku yh was about to comment that puff puff isnt considered a bread but kinda given snackey fried donut vibe
Yeah, they should’ve done Agege bread
Yes! And it still would have been God tier
this should be called aussies try industrial versions of bread from around the world
Kind of unfair to only give Injera the chance to shine with how it’s normally served… right? Like pita and even pumpernickel didn’t stand a chance despite having legendary serving potential
Exactly. The other breads are not meant to be eaten on their own either so I don’t know why they randomly gave condiments to one? I mean obviously I’m not mad about it but it’s really weird
@@fivemjs that's bec u can't eat it on its own and it's not bread. we have bread that you can eat on its own though I don't know why BuzzFeed chose that...
@@bettyhailu4789right i was expecting hambasha and was surprised to see injera
@@fivemjs I'm mad about it.
@@chatterbox5283 I agree wholeheartedly .
I'd love to see a follow-up to this where you guys try common bread/spread combos from around the world.
Aren't breads dry on their own? I feel a bit of appropriate spreads or add ons would help identify the tastes
I'm Brazilian and it's so satisfying seeing you enjoying Pão de queijo... It's originally from my state (Minas Gerais) and the whole world should try it. There's even a song for children about this icon, called "funk do pão de queijo" hahahah
Out of all the bread Germany has to offer you chose the worst one that literally nobody actually eats 😂☹️
The Nigerian in me was jumping when I saw puff puff, and then screaming when it got super god. Puff puff is loved everywhere.
Puff puff is amazing. I love Nigerian food soo much! Nigerian, Ethiopian, and Moroccan are my favourite African cuisines.
Is it also eaten in other African countries ? I've eaten something like this at Kenya. And it was soooo good. Don't know what it was called though (the guy just told us it's a kind of doughnut to simplify)
@@khushbooshah4951 it’s possible. It’s basically deep fried dough balls. So it won’t be surprising if different countries have different variations and versions
@@fa6534 Aah was delicious Puff Puff or otherwise ♥️
@Khushboo Shah technically puff puff exists everywhere ... its just fried sweet dough but the west african one is vegan so they don't typically add milk or egg to it. Not sure how other regions do it
Garlic naan is very popular in India bro!!
Love this episode!!!
the lack of butter in this video hurts to watch
Jamaican breads to try: hardo, coco, bullah (technically a sweet bread), spiced bun (again more sweet than savory). All of them are just heaven in your mouth, but hardo bread is best with butter. Coco bread is made for patties, and bullah and bun are AMAZING with cheddar cheese 🇯🇲
How could you have Rizcel here and not have pandesal?!
Yess, puff puff straight up from the fire is 🔥 lol. Glad they tried a Nigerian 🇳🇬 one, FYI it's mostly eaten in the morning so it can be classified as our bread.
Nigerian Agege bread with Akara or spicy beans would have been suitable as puff puff is classed as a sweet snack/dessert. Loved the content 🙌🏾🥰 it was interesting seeing different types of breads. I definitely want to try a few😄
Adding to what Sohan said it’s chai not chai tea because chai is tea
If you're going to do that, then she shouldn't have said "pita bread" because pita is bread.
@@MadelynKontis same with challah which they called "challah bread"
I love Sybil's reactions she's so funny
Wait pumpernickel is like the best bread though. 😱Looks like you had the prepackaged “authentic” kind but here in Canada big fluffy loaves with a slightly milder taste are common. You should’ve had sourdough!
I thought we would see "pão francês/de sal" if there was a Brazilian bread in the video (pão francês/de sal it's also a type of bread loved and eaten every day in the whole country), but pão de queijo is also amazingly delicious and one of our food treasures
I love Pumpernickel bread
Ummm garlic naan is not an Australian thing…we have it in India since ages lol
I wasn't expecting roti canai to be in this video but I AM SO PROUD RIGHT NOW!! Also, if anyone want's to have roti canai, order this version of Its called "Roti Banjir". Thank me later hehehe
Pumpernickel is amazing with spinach dip. Retry with the dip
for pt 2 you should try Canadian Beavertails
I was so happy pao de queijo was in this
THE PERFECT BREAD 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I love Hameda, they’re so cute 🥰
You guys should've tried 'Ouma se brood' from south africa. That stuff is tooo god
I wish you would have tried Simit (a turkish bagel sort of) or çiçek ekmek (flower bread)!
Also, the Roti Canai made me think of Msemmen (like a crepe bread)
There is so much more to discover about bread, I'm waiting for a second part and a more equally ranking 🌸🍞
Puff puff is my childhood! Still learning to make it round, trickier than I thought. Also yeah I kinda thought of it as more of a cake, so totally unexpected in this video!!
There should have been a Tom and Ryan combo too!!
Dude.
Garlic naan and cheese garlic naan are not Australian versions of naan.
Its very common in Indian to order naan like that rather than plain one when you go to a restaurant 😭
So proud to see some Malaysia love with the Roti Canai. It is the bomb. Easily my favourite bread style food. But then Malaysian food is the best in my humble opinion.
Puff puff isn't a bread though, it's basically fried sweet dough - like a doughnut.
Hameda "I wasn't allowed to go to camp" - same girl! same!
They did the scandinavian bread so dirty, you're supposed to put something on top like butter and ham. Otherwise it's dry as f
I would need butter on the bread love bread and butter
Umm.m where's the Irish Soda bread, or San Francisco sourdough bread?
I had to pause to comment it immediately: as a german I am not a little upset but I am almost really angry… buzzfeed had 99 opportunities to let Germany shine but serves the most hated bread IN GERMANY to the crew. I am gonna wipe away my tears with some DELICIOUS german bread (what we stand for 🤷🏼♂️) and keep on watching. Love ya.
You guys need to try Winnipeg style rye bread. Perfection
Winnipeg sucks. nothing authentic or special dish
Where is the salt, garlic and rosemary on that focaccia? Totally needed!
Lefsa and Pulla are 2 amazing Scandinavian breads :)
Rye, pumpernickel, and sour dough are my favorites.
I adoreeeee injera. Ethiopian cuisine is bomb.
Also, pumpernickel is amazing with cream cheese, black pepper, and cucumber!
I'm from Malaysia, so glad you guys like roti canai 🇲🇾
Every Filipino watching this was waiting for Pandesal 😂
I hope they read the comments section !!!
challah is exactly like naan in that you don't say "challah bread" because challah is already bread. another example is that you would never say "baguette bread"
You have to try Persian breads as well
Necesitan probar pan criollo de Puerto Rico ❤️
what's the name of the watch that Rizcel is wearing?
There is one that they didn't mention the name of it. I went back and replayed a few times and they neglected to say what it was called.
I LOVE THIS!!! but also did yall really say pita bread is from greece?
I know, I'm Lebanese and was going um.....
proud to be a malaysian
I have never heard anyone call baguette a “French stick”! 🤣
Garlic naan is a Indian thing ... We have it here all the time ..
How did Rizcel not include pandesal in this video?
I'm surprised to see puff puff here, but I'm glad yall liked it. Wait, does that mean there are Nigerian restaurants in Australia?
Rizcel where is the pandesal?!
“Fokkashaaa”
pita is definitely a middle eastern bread just an FYI!
PLEASE RANK AND TRY EVERY LINDOR FLAVOURS PLEASE ALSO I HAVE WATCH ALL THE RANK AND TRY VIDEOS WITH MEANS I AM A FAN OF BUZZFEEDOZ
shocked roti canai in the list 👏👏👏
my fave bread is steamed bread aka BAO
Yay Malaysia won !! Roti canai is lovely with chicken curry ❤
Try everything on the menu from breadtop
That is not Ethiopian bread !!!!!!! We have bread BuzzFeed do more research before representing someone's culture. Thank you!
I feel like they should all have been served with something they’re traditionally served with not just the one lol
I was hoping to see marraquetas from Chile, but I guess they're not as popular :(
ROTI CANAI LETSGOOOO, I'm a proud Malaysian
You should try fried bread
How can you not include the dutch bread tho 🥺🥺
They included only one kind of bread from France, when France pretty much literally invented modern bread baking.
"Good" and then "God" would've been much better than "God" and then "Super God".
Lol. Where are the concha’s?
Pump is a stable in Us Jewish homes. Its not amazing but its there, always
The Brazilian one is my favourite
I have never met a piece of fresh bread 🍞 I didn't like
Lol
Where’s the butter 🧈? I eat a lot of bread but I can’t eat without lots of butter!!!
Where're all my bread lovers at?! ❤
You could have at least had butter or something. Bread is great but…..ter
Edit: it was really weird that you provided one “bread” a few condiments to go with it but none of the others? That was so random considering bread is literally supposed to go with other things.
I am 30 and been eating stuffed naan, garlic naan, and I don't know so many naans since childhood. How can you say this is new. Duh
To me it looked like all the breads that didn’t win (with the exception of the injera) were generic brands of bread that you could find mass produced at a supermarket, good for a litmus test but not the best representation of each
They should have had butter with these breads.
Some are more like pastry than bread.
I mean they didn't choose croissant for France so seems a bit of a mismatch to compare.
Doesn't matter-ALL breads are awesome!!!!
Love that when she said "nan bread" translated to "bread bread", same to "bao", "bao bun" is translated to "bun bun". So just say "bao" please.
Unfortunately you guys got the shitty supermarket version of most of these 😬
Also, no sourdough? Come on.
I want to try Russian black bread.
Why just why does Hameeda ALWAYS add a fuck with food???
White bread with Parmesan cheese crust.
There needs to be a part II...You forgot Iran😄
Barbari bread, Sangak bread, Lavash, the list goes on😋
As a Jewish person, I appreciate how much they loved the bread and gave it a G-d rating. Fitting as it' has a long history and ties us back to G-d.
ROTI! YES I fucking love roti
About to watch, but please tell me agege bread represented Nigeria, or at least the round one they serve in Pro Unitate schools
❤️
Mmmm pumpernickel and seeded rye... super god
where is Georgian Shoti?
They need to do a "best drugs order." I would love to see everyone react to poppers.
How can they say puff puff is our bread in Nigeria like seriously ?
