I’ve never received hot tamales while trick or treating when I was younger, got an overload of tootsie rolls that I always gave away, candy corn is okay, and jolly ranchers, skittles, airheads and starburst will cause arguments (I always got the regular starburst flavors though, never the tropical. Those sound better) every chocolate candy is always good! Love you guys 🎃
My least favorite were the flavored tootsie rolls and I gave them away too!

I didn’t realise how loved Starbursts are in Australia, because I never liked them THAT much, but then my friend shipped me heaps of them from the US and I took them to work. Like, 10 different colleagues keep popping into my office to steal them, they’re obsessed 😂

Hello Aussies!! 🙂 Candy Corn is the WORST "candy". It used to be named Chicken Feed and the boxes had a large 🐓 Rooster on the front.
Then again, they put chicken salt on almost everything and I respect that.
White mystery is all the leftovers of the other flavors mixed together before the color is added.

The only candy on there that was seasonal was the Candy Corn. And even it you can get anytime. And we don't usually hand out full size or king size bars or packages to kids. Most people buy bags of fun sized candies.

California here - I've been eating cinnamon candy as long as I can remember. My favorite is probably Jolly Rancher cinnamon and Fireball jawbreakers. Oh, and I love Tootsie Roll!

Candy Corn is OK as candy but it is also good as a decoration or filler on a table. Nobody just eats candy corn like normal candy but there's a little glass bowl on the counter or it's in popcorn balls or sprinkled on a cake or decorating cookies.

I am ok being a member of the Candy Corn fan club. It’s just sugar but I like it. I’ve received all of these as a kid in the 90s. Jolly Ranchers are great hard candy. Blue Raspberry is truly the best. Personally my favorite is the Wild Strawberry but they’re hard to find.

How anyone can rate candy corn higher than tootsie rolls is beyond me. They are 99.999% sugar. You guys missed the best candy - snickers bars always top the list. Pretty much any candy bar is high on the list too. Stuff like Twix, Milky Way, Babe Ruth, Hersey with almond, almond joy, ect ect. Milkyway fudge? issshhh...

I think Twix has its roots in the UK, so it makes sense to exclude it from the round-up.
The point was to give them things to try that are not available in Australia. We have Snickers and Twix. We have a Mars bar, which is the same as what you call a Milky Way.
Jolly Ranchers are my favourite! I found them in an American candy store a few years ago, I buy them whenever I'm in the city.
The fact that none of them tried the cherry Jolly Rancher (which is by far the best flavor of Jolly Rancher) offends me as an amateur Jolly Rancher connoisseur. 😂 My absolute favorite candy.

I can agree with giving candy corn a bag/meh rating. I’m shocked they didn’t give tootsie rolls a nah rating.
When I was a kid I have randomly received a decent looking apple yes an apple, a brand named Austin cheddar cheese on cheese sandwich crackers, and also a bunch of stationary computer paper and pencils(the lady wanted to give something when she ran out of candy).
Red Hots are much better than Hot Tamales and I don’t remember getting them at Halloween. Tootsie Roll products were given out,tootsie roll pops, dots, flavored tootsie rolls and original. You needed to have someone from the US tell you what is given out to Trick or Treaters. Gotta love it for the entertainment.

I grew up eat hat tamales, my dad would buy candy like that and keep it in his car and when I went in his car I’d steal his candy lol
I can’t remember ever in my lifetime receiving the hot tamales at Halloween time or for trick or treating. And typically the candy isn’t full-size when you go trick-or-treating. I mean yeah some houses will give you a full size but for the most part.. nope.

Most of the candies y'all tried were ones I truly dislike, or have never had. Candy Corn definitely belonged in the round-up, but leaving Snickers out was cold AF.
Snickers was not included on the list because we have it here in Australia. The ones they tried are ones that we don't have in Australia.

They’re giving some of the worst candies to taste🤣 I give out full size chocolate bars in the variety of milky ways, snickers, 3 musketeers & Twix. Then I have full size skittles in variety of original, wild berry, tropical, and sour. And that’s just the start of the deliciousness that can be given out. Not tootsie rolls and red hot tamales 🤢
But all of the things you mentioned that you give out are things we have (or we have but give them a different name) here in Australia. They gave them things to try that we don't have in Australia, so it was a true first taste.

Whats funny candy like Hot Tamales, Red Hots have been toned down from when I was a kid and made with sugar vs modern sweeteners. So much so it was not uncommon to see on kid dare another to pop a had full in there mouth and not spit it out.

I absolutely love the centre of a Butterfinger...but the chocolate....the chocolate is just awful. If the choc was better that would be the most delicious thing ever for me 🙂 as it is I would need to chisel off that awful choc first
4:16 &es. The US corporations do in fact want us all eating high fructose corn syrup. That is why American kids are so fat. They put that crap in almost all processed foods. Candy corn is vile. It is the worst American candy, right next to Necco Wafers. 5:35 BTW: the best American cinnamon candy is in fact a Jolly Rancher. They are so, so tasty! IMHO the best Jolly Rancher is Cherry. The cherry tastes like candy cherries, not the imitation cherry you know.
