According to the song, it deals with the tragic story of a gypsy woman, who fell in love with a gypsy belonging to the Calé ethnic group. Both could not marry, because the laws of each gypsy people only allowed the marriage of the same tribe. The gypsy woman, amid her sadness, prays and invokes the Moon, asking that the calé become her husband. The Moon in its full moon phase, speaks to her and proposes a deal, that she can marry him for the love she felt, in exchange for giving her son as an offering or sacrifice. Although the Moon during the deal with the gypsy, puts her to the test how much she is willing to love her son or to exchange him for a husband. The two gypsies marry and the child is born as a result of that marriage, his parents are surprised because the child was not born with the same racial traits as his parents. According to the lyrics of the song, the child was born white as the back of an ermine and with gray eyes, an albino moon child, despite the fact that his parents were dark-skinned and dark-eyed. The gypsy, the boy's father, does not accept that he is his son and denies paternity, furiously murdering her in a fit of jealousy. He looks for his wife and stabs her with a knife to death, thinking that she made him unfaithful and that he committed adultery or fornication. He takes the child in his arms and carries him to mount, there he abandons it so that it too dies. Later the Moon rises in its full moon phase, saves the child from danger and with its ray of light lifts him up to the sky. On full moon nights, when the child begins to cry, the moon fades into its waning moon phase to make it a cradle and finally the Moon manages to become a mother, assuming the adoption and total custody of the child. The child ends up with a happy life, free from maternal orphanhood and paternal abandonment. In this song, the Moon is personified as a white woman of maternal admiration, as well as a mother goddess. Based on different cultures and deities, on what the mother moon represents.
