And it is NOT safe for the rest of the motoring traffic. regardless of the alleged crime, endangering the public is questionable at best. WRONG at worst and should be illegal.
The manooeuvre itself is very simple. There are just a few basic principles to apply. Other related issues apply such as traffic, so you have to pick your moment. Most cops fail because they lack commitment to the PIT
A Pit should not be done in traffic. To many innocent people almost got killed in that last one. Regardless of what that person did.....the publics safety should be first.

I don't know. The FHP officer in the last clip needs to go back to "PIT school". Hitting the car on the drivers side rear panel will cause the bad guys car to swerve into oncoming traffic. He did this several times. Much better to hit him on the passengers rear panel and cause him to swerve into the trees.

I’m always on the cops side man. But there was a couple of those, especially the one where it was raining, the cop was doing a pit maneuver with all those cars all around. Very very dangerous.

I saw one with a guy flying 132 mph through Atlanta chasing someone else and he does it and the car he put maneuvers ends up smashing into a caddy that had people in it. I hope there weren’t any kids in that car or anything like that, but yeah for te most part these pit manuebers are awesome and well executed but some are indeed questionable

I can assure you if Florida highway patrol is utilizing the pit maneuver the person or persons in the vehicle that is being pitted they are extremely dangerous people and they must be stopped at all costs FHP very rarely uses the pit maneuver so whatever the situation is it’s got to be a very bad situation to force FHP to use pit maneuver
