I put in an application to Walgreens, CVS, hospitals. Only 1 contacted me, and they are 45 minutes away. I wish pharmacies would be more communicative as to whether they need me, or whether my application says something that is making me undesirable.
I'm really interested in pharmacy work. I found it interesting but I didnt want to do human pharmacology work. I was so excited when I found out vet pharmacist was a real job I could do. I cant be a regular vet as I'm severely allergic to cats
I never heard of a vet pharmacist so this is new to me. I know we sell medications for animals. That’s the closest thing to working with animals that I know
@@AnythingTiara they're just like regular pharmacists but have a little more training in animal anatomy and diseases. They go to a pharmacy school then transfer to vet college for more schooling
@@AnythingTiara my state required me to get my pharm tech trainee license to apply for the apprenticeship. On the second part of my application it asked if I had a pharmacy license but the trainee one wasn’t a option so I put no license if you understand what I’m talking about please let me know if I went about that right!!!
Dear Tiara, I am a pharmacy technician for the same company. I have had such issues with the nasty rude girl training me. We are short handed and if all possible would you please take my email/phone number so that I may know how properly to assist customers when they come in to get their scripts. When I train with her she rushes through what she is doing and has even rudely yelled at me. Mgmt doesn't do anything to her and tolerates her nasty behavior because we don't have the help. I've got to get ahead of the game so to speak when dealing with her. PLEASE HELP 😢
Hello. I am currently a Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens. And No, the job itself is a lot more than just counting pills. Counting pills and filling prescriptions is only a small part of the job. Outside of filling prescriptions you will also be expected to help check out patient's prescriptions at the pick up counter, help sign patients up and bill them for vaccines, help answer incoming phone calls, make outbound phone calls/patient care calls, calling insurance companies if there are any issues with a patient's prescription, etc. There's a lot that goes into it and you always have to make sure you are pulling your own weight when it comes to the workload and also be willing to help out your team if things are falling behind or if the pharmacy becomes too busy. Hope this helps.

3 lanes. I know you didn't put them there, but 3 lanes is pointless
Do you know the starting pay without certification?
No, I personally knew some technicians who made less than me so it depends on your experience, state, and store honestly.
